1 Chapter 1 – Different World
On Earth, there is a country that suddenly became the new world powerhouse which rivals every single powerhouse country in the world. How on Earth the country can become so powerful in such a short time? A single question that every single one of existence in the world wonders. People felt respect and reverence towards the country.
In a tall, big building in the center of a country, a man is standing, looking out the window from his office.
"Hmm, this is the beginning, soon under my command, I will make this country that I built to be the most powerful one of them all!" the man talked to himself while smirking.
That man, is the ruler, the president, the king of the country. He is a genius prodigy who made his way to the top and became a president of a country, Alan. He has a pale, slender, charming, and a very enchanting handsome face. Some would say he is a woman as he is too beautiful! This man has everything what people want.
However, that man felt that what he was doing does not seem to satisfy him at all. What he discovered is, he, the genius likes to read, play games, and do sort of stuff that he wants at home. The only time he can do that is after he had free time as he is the leader of a country.
One day, he worked in the office for days without sleep and seldom eats. After his job is done, he went home and wanted to read a novel. Suddenly his head started to spin and felt very hurt, he tried to call someone but his vision blackened out.
He died, because of exhaustion. The whole world felt sad and pity towards him and the country.

"Ugh…." Alan exclaimed and tried to open his eyes.
"Madam! Madam! Alan has woken up!" a girl's voice rang out and ran out calling someone.
"Huh? What happened? Did I die? That ceiling is not familiar, where am I?" Alan talked to himself.
Suddenly, footsteps were hurrying toward the room where Alan is. The door was opened and a very beautiful woman dashed out and straight away hugged Alan.
"Son! You've woken up!" the woman spoke to Alan while hugging him.
Alan felt something is wrong. "Son?" he inwardly thought to himself. Suddenly, his head felt hurt and splashes of memories came to light.
The woman with him now is his mother, Rose Snow, who had a bright red hair color that similar to red rose's petals. Now, he knows that he died, and his soul traveled to this body.
"Mother?" Alan spoke lightly. After he spoke, the body of the woman flinched.
"Alan! Did you speak just now? You just spoke right?" Rose asked him wildly.
"Yes, mother. Why?" Alan looked at his mother weirdly.
"You recovered! Son, you've recovered!" Rose hugged him again while crying.
"Oh, I forgot." Alan talked to himself inwardly. His name is Alan Snow from Snow Family. He had an accident 10 years ago while saving his sister from a landslide. While saving his second sister, he injured his head and become crazy. Now he is "bedridden" because 3 days ago when he was still crazy, he was playing and accidentally hit his head.
Alan looked at her mother and calmly said, "Yes mother, I have recovered." Without waiting for his mother's reply, Alan stood up and ran towards the window. Rose tried to catch him but failed, "Alan! Be careful!"
Alan stopped in front of the window and looked out. After some time, he smiled. There are dragons, phoenixes, and all the mythical beings, flying and walking outside as it is normal. The world seems modern as well, there are flying cars, jet packs, and spaceships that can be seen far away in the sky.
"I'm in a new world!" suddenly his smile froze because the scene he saw outside is strangely similar to a novel he once read in his previous life.
"Umm…mother…what is the name of the world we live in?" Alan asked his mother carefully.
Rose smiled dearly towards Alan and said, "I guess you forgot already dear, this world we live in is called Unity."
"Thump, thump, thump" Alan's heart pumping vigorously. Alan tried to calm himself down. He tried to dig out his memories he got from "Alan" here, his parents, his sisters, his family, all the same as the novel he once read!
Alan Snow, this character he inherited is a character that not only never had any purpose or role in the novel but only pointed out once by the writer, as the "crazy bother" of the important characters in the novel, his sisters, Mary and Alice. So, he just an insignificant Extra!
Alan looked at his mother nervously and asked again, "Mother, what year is this?"
Rose, as usual, smiled dearly and replied, "Dear, this year is 159th year after the last apocalypse which is the year 5092 of Unity"
Alan panicked for a while inwardly. This year is the year where the hero, the main character John Pride enters the Central City of Unity and enters the academy, which means the catastrophe that was written to happen is near, but then, after a while, Alan managed to calm himself down. He was the genius prodigy in his previous life. He will also be one now, but he will live his life according to his liking. He looked at his reflection on the window but his face was blurred out as his facial features were never created for him.
Alan was thinking for a while in front of Rose, and suddenly grinned, "Interesting..." he thought to himself. Rose felt nostalgic watching her beloved son in his world while grinning like a villain and can't help but to chuckle a bit. Even after recovers from being crazy, her son is still the same as in the past. That childish nature that warms their heart.
Alan heard Rose's chuckle felt embarrassed. He rubbed the back of his head and laughed along with his mother.
After a few moments, Rose suddenly held Alan's wrist and took him out of his room.
"Let's go see your father he will very thrilled and happy to see you recovered. You don't know how all of us miss you much." Rose said to Alan.
"Un, let's go!" Alan happily replied to his mother. In the previous world, Alan had never met his parents as he was an orphan. The feeling he had right now was so strange to him yet he felt so happy. From this moment, Alan decided in his heart to treasure the family he had now even though maybe the world he lives now is not real.
Snow family's home is so big that if this in the previous world, it would as big as a American football field. It is a palace. The exterior of the palace is made out of a material that similar to a crystal. The design is full with gold and jade. What made Alan more speechless was that the palace is floating!
After a few minutes of walking to the main part of the building, Alan saw a dashing, high spirited looking middle age man enjoying outside view while putting both of his hand behind his back.
"Dear! I have a surprise for you!" Rose shouted as she and Alan were still walking towards that man.
The man turned around, and he very surprised by Alan. He rushed out of the building and quickly hold Alan's shoulder while looking for any injuries at Alan's body. This man is Alan's father, Lukas Snow.
"It's good that he woke up. Now everything is fine." Lucas said to himself. He looked at his wife and said, "It indeed a surprise dear, Alan woke up but I think we should call a physician to check Alan's body if he got any injuries."
Alan looked at his father, he is grateful that he now has them as his parents. He looked at his parents dearly before he said, "I'm fine, father."
Lukas was surprised, "You can speak again? Son? It's a miracle! Miracle!" Lukas happily patted Alan's head.
"That's the surprise I've wanted to tell you." Rose smiled.
Everyone in the palace felt happy after they heard about Alan's recovery. After Alan talked with his parents for a while in the dining room, Alan got back to his room chamber to get rest.
"I guess being an Extra with this kind of life does not feel bad at all. I think can live like this…I will live like this from now on! In this life, I will live a peaceful and quiet life." Alan thought to himself.
Suddenly, before Alan can make a further decision about his life, a game-like window appeared in front of him.
"System is rebooting...…"
"Welcome host, to Extra's System!"
"What the hell? Extra's system?" Alan shocked inwardly. He touched the game window and he stats were shown in front of him.

"This is very interesting, so it's similar to the RPG game style. Now I have 10 attribute points to use, hmmm…I think I will save it for now. I'm a sword-man and a sorcerer, I guess it's because before I went crazy, I trained with my parents." Alan thought to himself.
"Ding! The host appearance will be transferred into the system. The host's previous appearance will be set as original appearance." The system announced.
"So now I have a face?" Alan stepped in front of a mirror. He now has a face that was very familiar to him. The fact that he never cared enough about his look in his previous life. His majestic, enchanting face that made people envy towards him.
The only difference was that his original black hair now was silky silver red. Silver was a sign of nobility that he got from his father, Lukas and red was from his mother, Rose.
"Nice to see you again, partner." Alan talked to himself while looking at himself in the mirror. This is him, he always talked to himself like this in his previous life. He, himself was his partner.
"Ding! The Host ultimate goal is to become the strongest in the world, fail to achieve the goal, the host will be punished with death" The system announced.
"Ding! Quest unlocked. Quest: Be a level 10 in 3 days, fail to achieve, the host will be punished." The system announced.
"Level 10 in 3 days? How on Unity I can do that?" Alan yelled at the System.
"Ding! Figure it out yourself, fail to achieve the completion of the quest, the host will be punished" the system announced.
"What kind of shitty system are you?" Alan complained.
As soon as Alan got the quest, he immediately went to find a way to level up himself. While he was walking to the main gate of his family's palace to go out, he noticed that there is a part of the palace that no one goes. So, he wanted to check it out.
After he arrived in front of the abandoned part of the palace, he felt something wrong with the environment surrounding that part of the place.
"This place reeks of death! How come this part of the palace still here and not demolished?" Alan thought to himself.
Alan found a door leading into the building, he opened the door effortlessly and entered the building. Once he entered, the interior of the building is not like he thought it would be. The inside is so fabulous that made him thought that he was dreaming. This heaven-like place, how does it existed in his family's palace?
"The novel I read never said anything about this place, all of this seems very strange. I wonder does all of these existed because something triggered them or not? Alan talked to himself.
Alan walked toward a throne-like chair in the middle of the building and sit on it. After that, the whole building became pitch black.
"Ahh… after thousands of years, this sovereign finally found someone that she likes. I wonder boy, do you know on what did you seated on right now?" a voice rang out throughout the building.
"Who are you? What is this place and what is this thing I'm sitting on right now?" Alan asked curiously.
"A very curious child you are but do you know curious kills the cat? Fine, I'll give you a chance to prove yourself that you are worthy" the voice rang out again.
Suddenly, the whole building was shaking. After a while, the pitch-black environment turned brighter but before Alan can be relieved, the once empty building is now turned into a field full of monsters.
"Kill them all." The voice rang out.
Alan looked at the horde of monsters rushing towards him, he do not know what to do but run. After a while, the horde is getting closer and closer and finally, they reached Alan, one of the monsters tried to hit Alan with its axes but before it arrived towards Alan, Alan's body suddenly moved and dodged the attack.
"What the hell? I dodged?" Alan shocked. After he thought for a moment, he finally knows the reason. His body had the skills. Sword-man and magician. The skill is in his body and the body reacted as a reflex.
Alan did not have any weapon with him as he thought it will be the end for him, the system rang out, "Host can buy a weapon in the shop window."
Alan did not think much, he waved and a window popped out in front of him, he navigated to the "Shop". He saw he had one thousand coins and straight away buy the first weapon he saw, Simple Sword, 650 coins were deducted.
After he bought the Simple Sword, the sword materialized in his hand. Once he got the sword in his grip, he slashed towards a group of monsters. He took a strike towards the monsters until the monsters died.
"Ding! Congratulations to the Host leveling up to level 2." The system announced.
"Huh? I leveled up! Great!" Alan happily exclaimed.
Alan looked at the remaining monsters, and he smiled like a villain, his eyes turned sinister until it made the monsters stopped from trying to catch him.
"You guys are so dead, how dare you bully me, the genius prodigy." Alan grinned. He took out all the monsters.
"Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!" the system announced the level up.
"Hehe, now I'm at level 7 just like that." Alan felt happy.
"Good. Although the monsters are mere ants, for your degree of prowess, it is remarkable." The voice rang out.
All of a sudden, the environment returned to the original appearance, and a woman who wore a mask slowly walked down the stairs towards Alan.
"Who are you?" Alan suspiciously asked.
The woman instantly removed her mask and kneeled in front of Alan, "My lord, It's been thousands of years, your servant misses you so much," the woman said to Alan while crying.
"My lord? What do you mean? The only person who calls me that is someone I left in the previous world." Alan felt strange but after he saw her face, he was shocked. Indeed, it is her.
"My lord, this lowly person is me. Erica Bright. Several thousand years ago, you died, all of us and the country were mourning for you. I tried to kill myself, but someone prevented it from happening by saying that you are not dead and will return in the future. He gave me power and I turned into an immortal being.
"Who is that person?" Alan asked nervously.
"Apologies, my lord, your servant does not know. After he gave me the power, he disappeared" Erica lamented.
"What the hell is happening? I thought the world I living now is a novel, but from what Erica said to me just now, it seems that this a very distant future where Earth is forgotten and replaced by Unity but how on earth all the people forget about the Earth and why does everything is familiar as in the novel?" Alan thought to himself.
"The system is watching you"

Red windows popped out saying the system is watching Alan.
Alan shook his head, "I'm being too naïve."
"Ding! The system advises the host to be careful as the host's level is too low." The system announced.
"So, System, are you on my side or not?" Alan asked calmly.
"Ding! The system was and always be with the host's side." The system announced.
"Great then! Now, let's find out what in the world is happening to me and the world. Especially that person who helped Erica" Alan smirked.
The situation that is happening right now was normal in Alan's previous life. They tried to play with Alan, the genius prodigy, and so, he will play with them too.
