12 Fiance's?

(Time skip: One night later)

Reflecting on the chaotic events of the previous night, I couldn't help but draw parallels between Rito and Lala's dynamic and the chaos they often found themselves in. One was a creator of pandemonium through her inventions, while the other was an unwitting magnet for trouble. The result was a series of chaotic days, with Rito and a few unfortunate women often becoming victims of his accidental falls.

However, now that I was a part of this world, I was determined to change some things. For starters, I planned to help Rito win over Sairenji, despite the task seeming as challenging as defying the heavens themselves.

Fast forward to the present, I found myself walking to school with Rito. He spotted Sairenji across the street, and I could see the resolve in his eyes. This was the moment he had been waiting for, the moment he would confess his feelings to her. However, I couldn't shake off a feeling of unease.

"Good morning, Errol-kun, Rito-kun," Sairenji greeted us warmly. This was a deviation from what I remembered, but then again, my previous encounter with Lala was a blur due to our rapid escape.

"Good morning, Sairenji," I responded.

While I wasn't particularly interested in Sairenji, I couldn't deny her beauty. She was certainly among the top ten most beautiful people I had encountered since my reincarnation. However, her personality was quite ordinary, reminding me of the people from my previous world. Hence, my interest in her was purely platonic, and I was more intent on helping Rito win her over.

I turned my attention back to Rito, who was now gathering his courage to confess his feelings. "I-I fell in love with you the moment I saw you. Will you go out with me?"

His confession was cut short by an unexpected intrusion. "Oh my! Although we've just met, I must reject you because I am his fiancée," Lala declared, pointing at me.

Sairenji, having witnessed the entire scene, walked away silently. Rito tried to explain the misunderstanding, but Lala interrupted him again.

"Hello, Errol!" she greeted me cheerfully.

Ignoring Rito's shocked expression, I turned to Lala. "Hello, Lala. But why am I your fiancé?"

"Eh, but you touched my chest when you were carrying me last night. In Deviluke culture, that's considered a marriage proposal," she explained.

"Seriously?" I asked, incredulous.

"Seriously," she affirmed.

I sighed, trying to wrap my head around this bizarre cultural norm. "That's quite an unusual custom, but I won't judge. However, I'm still not sure about this engagement thing."

"Hehe, it's okay, I'm not angry. But now that you've proposed, we're engaged," she said, grinning.

"I suppose I don't mind. After all, being engaged to a beautiful and adorable princess doesn't seem too bad," I replied, surprising her with my acceptance.

"Then can I stay at your house? After all, fiancés usually live together," she asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Alright, but you need to behave, or else I might not be able to protect you," I cautioned her.

"Hehe, don't worry. My father's guards aren't much of a problem. I just didn't want to hurt them too much," she reassured me, completely missing my point.

My concern wasn't about her guards, but Raikou. While her possessiveness and eccentricities had diminished somewhat, a misstep could still lead to disastrous consequences. If she were to harm Lala, not only would I feel guilty, but the entire planet could be in danger. After all, Lala's planet ruled most of the universe, and they undoubtedly possessed weapons capable of obliterating Earth.

Regardless, I shrugged off my worries and said, "Fine, as long as you're happy and not imposing on me, you're welcome to stay."

Her smile seemed more genuine this time, and she thanked me warmly. "Hehe, thank you."

"Yes, yes. I'll see you at noon. You can start preparing your things. I still have school, so I'll see you later," I said, bidding her farewell.

I then grabbed Rito and headed off to school. He seemed utterly confused by the exchange and the sudden engagement between Lala and me. He was speechless and barely noticed a slight pang in his heart, as if he had lost something important. However, he shrugged it off, attributing it to the almost successful confession that had been abruptly interrupted by Lala's appearance.
