5 Who's Fault

The first to do anything was Chanmi. She wiped away her tears and let go of Scopus. She then addressed all the wolves

Chanmi: everyone let's give the family some room to... grieve

She chocked over the last word

Chanmi: we… if you want to go to the meeting room… make an official statement over what has happened tonight…

She led everyone to the meeting room… then came back an hour later. No one had moved from their spot. Your mother spoke to her first

Mother: thank you Chanmi… thank you

She grabbed onto Chanmi's hand

Chanmi: it's the least I could do for you guys… everyone has gathered and is waiting do you know what you want to say to them yet.

Mother: we will figure it out right... we knew this day was coming

Your family gathered themselves and walked into the meeting room everyone was quiet. They sat in the seats but all anyone could focus on was the empty chair at the front.

Father: my daughter as you know is… was exceptional. I called her my yako because she could be trouble but she was wise beyond her years. She told me she had a third eye that saw the future. She was a young pup who said silly things like that. I doubted her at first because she told me these things when she was in trouble. That it had caused her to do what she did. That she had no control over it. Later I came to believe in her. She did good things for many people with her third eye. She didn't deserve to die so sudden… It makes no sense at all... But this was her path to take

Tears came down his eyes as he sat back down... He was right you caused so much trouble but with it did come some good. Your mother stood next.

Mother: she held no animosity toward anyone. She was gentle she just wanted everyone to be happy and to find love. We labeled her as future omega in our pack but we all knew that she was as strong as any alpha especially when she was angry... but her downfall was she showed mercy. My daughter wouldn't want for us to sit around crying over her for so long. If she was here she would be yelling at us that we weren't following what she has planned that we should all be asleep right now. That she worked too hard for us to wallow around. She put her heart and now her soul into this event so I pray that she is happy with how it will turn out now that she can't run it. Minghao: all of us fought so much as children. But I tried to protect her the best I could. It was all very childish but I was her spy. It was the only thing I could think of to do that. I would listen to my brothers revenge plans against her then tell her what they we're doing. And they were so dumb to never figure it out. Seeing the look on her face when my brothers in turn would get caught in her trap would bring you joy. It was pure

Dino: pure evil i was the one that got stuck every single time

Minghao: cause you were the stupid one that we sent in first… she had promised to keep it a secret as long as she lived and that she would take it to her grave. It was so childish and yet she was so serious. She held her promise… my sister was an angel my angel. And this is why I'm telling you now. She kept her promise yet it seems so stupid looking back... I loved her way more that she would ever know way more that this stupid secret... she deserved way more than what she was dealt.

Hearing everyone talk about you made Jun remember how he watched you die. Remembering you in his arms causing him to look at his hands and clothes your blood still covered him. No longer being able to stand it he got up his chair scraping the ground he ran out Minghao trying to grab his hand but he shook him loose and ran to his room. Again it was quiet. But the smile on your parents face comforted everyone. So they continued.

Woozi: i'm sorry to my brothers and y/n. I was her other spy.

Your brothers all gasped

Woozi: never thought it would be me right. Well I helped her plan getting back at you. There was this one time that we lured Jeonghan and Hoshi out to the woods and got them stuck in a hole. We spent weeks digging that hole I wanted to give up not even halfway through. But she was dedicated to her work left and nothing to chance so she finished it by herself while I sat and watched. That's what made her so great she was creative and she followed through with everything she did. That hole today still is there in the forest. Can you imagine a 10 year old digging a hole just to trap her brothers in it. Could you imagine how big that hole is and the amount of time and energy it must have taken. Looking back it was insane we were crazy getting in petty fights. But she was always on top in the end.

Hoshi: you helped her do that we spent 5 days . Literally we could have starved

Woozi: she brought you food and water every night while you slept

Hoshi: jeonghan cried the whole time to the point we could have drowned in his tears

Everyone laughed it was an insane thing to imagine. Two boys in a hole filled to their necks in tear drops.

Jeonghan: well at least I didn't pee on myself

Hoshi: we were 10 I was scared and it was 5 days how could I go that long without going

Jeonghan: I did

Hoshi: I wasn't you

Everyone after them shared a happy thought of you no matter how small

I.N: I had a major crush on a girl. I don't know how but y/n help me get the courage to talk to her. She gave me the chance to find a mate. She was the last string of hope in my heart

Kokoro: I was scared I was at the age to find my mate. Girls my age know it doesn't happen in a day but that's what we hope. The day we turn of age they will just turn up on are door step

The female let out a chuckle remembering back to their time of insecurity of not fining a mate

Kokoro: We then give up thinking that we would never find a mate after that first day. I spent 4 months like that but she helped me get over that fear. Most have to go through years of that but thanks to her I was not one of them. She showed me this amazing guy that I would be proud to call my mate. I will never forget what she did for me and I may never be able to thank her for it

That brought tears to everyone's eyes. Most had stories just like those two. It showed just how much you had affected every member of every pack.

After the stories had stopped and everyone was in a lighter mood remembering everything you had done for them your mother spoke.

Mother: we are like I said continuing her plans so breakfast is at 8 don't be late. Go to your room's shower, sleep, then be ready to stuff your face, and alpha's get ready to work your butt off because she made a training guide from hell for the morning then one after lunch and a late night run.

Everyone began leaving the room. But you're family sat in silence. They looked at each other.

mother: she would be proud of us right… to keep it going

Haeyoon: all she wanted was for us to be happy… she brought happiness and love to so many but never herself.

Father: she was happy… when she got to make others happy… this will be the last thing we get to do for her so let's be happy when we do it for her. Chanmi and Bora will take over training tomorrow, Jisoo and Naeun you have food prep… Haeyoon and Elkie please take over her role as unmated wolves director, Yeri and Rose could you take over training the next day after Bora and Chanmi.

They nodded and he stood up

Father: thank you…mother will take over from here on. If have any questions ask her she has y/n notes and plans in case something happens… she was prepared for every worst case scenario from rain to extreme heat… and with that I want all of you to be happy… it may be hard now because she is gone and we just found out… but don't take too long… she made sure we would be happy after she was gone. She saw this coming… she knew she wouldn't make it to tomorrow… look in her note last two pages.

He began walking away. Everyone was confused. Your mother turned to the last pages of your noted and then began reading the last pages

Mother: hey guys… so if you are reading my notes then my third eye has seen my death and there was no way of avoiding it. Please don't be sad. If your sad I can't rest in peace and you know how I hate being disrupted in my sleep. I didn't feel any pain take comfort in that thought I died doing what I always do protecting those around me. Now Junnie he won't be there when you read this but I have that covered so don't worry...he got his own note… I played favorites until the end what can I say… now Mom you're gonna help keep the event going right… of course you are with dads help… I worked hard so don't mess it up I made everything to the tiniest detail so you would have to be an idiot to mess it up or just be Dino

Dino: hey that's mean and I can't even say anything back to her she has to have the last word

Mother: … I'm sorry I couldn't grow up, that I didn't find a mate, that i didn't have pups, I know you wanted me to have a happy life, but know I was happy right up until the end. And you guys will be happy to... Scoups, you won't get head pack

Scoups: wow she even put me down in her death letter

He laughed to himself with a grimace holding back tears

Mother: but you're future wasn't meant for that leadership position. I don't want to spoil the fun because it's not mine to spoil but ask your mate why she really threw up yesterday morning. Everyone looked at her

He was crying now

Mother: Dino you have always doubted me but I'm saying this because I know better brat and it won't matter if you know her or not get to know her and soon before I find a way to comeback and kick your ass. It won't be the end for long. I will see you soon. Just don't beat yourself up on what has happened I'm better I don't have to worry anymore and I'm serious find your mate. I didn't suffer seeing you're futures for no reason… don't go looking either you will not find answers to my death that you like and it will cause problems I tried to prevent… It was meant to happen for reasons I can't explain it now but I will soon.

Mother stopped reading and put it down. She got up and walked out of the room. You're brothers soon followed her lead

Chanyeol POV

I stayed with her body. I couldn't believe what she had done. Those rogues killed another pack member. Her family… it's my fault… if she had just let me die it would be her alive right now… I let out a call. Soon a cascade of calls we're let out. I didn't dare move her body I stayed there all night crying begging the gods for her return. The sun rose I couldn't stay her any longer. But I can't go back and face her family with what happened. I will put her to rest and then get my stuff a leave… where to go I don't know... I picked her up. Her eyes now a dark green and glazed over. I walked to the river gently placing her into the water. The surrounding area turned crimson slowly. I washed her fur very gently. Tears coming down my face mixing in with the water. Until her fur was shining white. But I could see a shining green tint. Why did she keep it hidden why did she have to be green. It makes no sense she had no hate in her heart. I placed her on the bank and began cleaning the blood on me. I carried her back to her favorite place. I put her down and turned away walking back to the den.

Jun POV

After calming down I went to sleep. In the morning I walked down stairs to see chanyeol enter. He looked like he had just got back. His face was tear stained and I felt bad. He wouldn't even look at me. I stepped in front of him.

Jun: you're back

Chanyeol:...

He didn't speak I bet he regrets y/n saving his life. Good

Jun: breakfast is ready let's go

I began walking but he did not move

Jun: let's go now… right now.

He put his head down and followed… we walked in and he sat with his pack

Sehun: there you are we we're wondering where you have been since last night you just disappeared

He didn't speak not one word

Xiumin: so you know what has happened

Baekhyun: it's crazy we don't even know the full story

Chen: her brother just came home covered in blood and told us she was dead. And from the looks of it she went bad...

His eyes began to water

Lay: hey chanyeol why are you okay you're covered in scratches and bite marks. Do you need help.

He didn't say anything

Suho: let's eat first then we'll talk about why you came home like that

The room was not lively but it wasn't quiet. I could see the chef and his wife tears in their eyes. My mom trying not to cry while comforting them. It made me remember the letter y/n gave me

Flashback 6 years ago

y/n: hey jun here you go.

Jun: what is this letter

I went to open it

y/n: don't open it yet

Jun: you hand me a letter then tell me not to open it I have to now

LAST NIGHT

After leaving the meeting room I went straight to my room. Crying I can't accept this it's all his fault. He should have died not her.

Jun: that bastard killed my sister

I ranted in anger doing my best not to turn and kill him. I then remembered a few years ago y/n gave me a letter. I walked in my closet looking for it. I tore everything out not being able to find it. I sat on the ground

Jun: what did I do I lost my sister last words

I looked around everything felt empty . I noticed a box on the ground and opened it... I found it. Still in perfect condition and a hibiscus flower holding it shut... I threw the box on the ground and sat on the edge of my bed and tore it open. Her beautiful handwriting filled the pages.

Jun: hey Junnie. It's me. I know you're crying. You were scared that you had lost my letter. Just know that I had moved the day after everyone found out you were my spy cause they raided your room and I didn't wan't them to find it. Now don't worry about me I'm fine I promise you. What happened wasn't your fault and it wasn't Chanyeol. I know you are beating yourself up over it and you want to kill him. I know that part not because of my power but because you found us to late but it wasn't actually to late you we're right on time. If you had been any earlier you could have died and any later they would have ripped chanyeol to shreds and thrown us over. So you actually saved him. So be glad you're also a hero though no one will see it that way... But really I choose to save him to give my life for his and yours. If you remember the prophecy mom and dad told us from the old lady at our births. I had two roads to take each wasn't pretty. I saw just what those roads we're and where each one would lead. At first it actually scared me seeing each I mean i'm 14. When you read this we will be 20 and I would have had 6 years to cope. I know I will be ready for it. I wasn't scared. Everything I did was to make sure I would be with all that training we did. It was all just for that moment and it worked. So I picked the road that saved the most lives... It was let the rogues kill him and then use my powers to start a war with the packs, and you and are family dying in the process or I save his life by dying so now they can't use the green wolf of death. I love all of you too much for that to happen so I would rather it be on me to save all of you… But Jun, Chanyeol wont see it that way so I'm asking you to take care of him as my last wish… I've seen his future… if he leaves my death will be for nothing make sure he competes… If you can get him to do that then I may have a chance… It confusing and i can't tell you all of it now but just take care of chanyeol... I put the letter down… she knew all those years ago that she would die saving him… and I didn't believe her none of us did. She acted as if she didn't know him but knew all along. I promise y/n if it's the last thing I do I will save him how I don't know… but everything happens for a reason… please let everything be just.

End of flashback

Dino: y/n always stirred trouble. I'm gonna miss that no matter how much she picked on me. I love her so much… I can still hear her calling me stupid or short… even though I was taller than her

He said out loud I don't think he was talking to anyone but himself because when I looked he stared at his hands clenched. He was feeling it everything has settled and he is stuck with the pit in his stomach.

Dino: it's not fair. I should have taken her more serious. I found her writing that note I knew she had a vision but I was too stupid to actually believe in her once again letting her downs… I knew it in my heart but I wanted so bad for her powers to be fake.

We all got quiet everyone realizing she was right all along and we dismissed her every time she said she was going to die. That it was partly our fault no matter how much we try to deny it. We had a part in killing our sister. But like she said no one could stop it and we can't take away from her sacrifice.

Jun: it was no ones fault. We all knew her powers were real at some point in time but when she said she was going to die we decided it was easier to dismiss them in hope she would live. So every time she told us she was going to die she said there was nothing anyone could do. She knew this conversation would happen don't blame anyone one but the curse. She was doing it for the greater good to stop the curse.

They all just looked at me

Jun: She welcomed her fate long ago.

I looked at Chanyeol he was looking back at me

Jun: this goes for everyone she loved no matter if she just met you or knew you for years. She lived how she wanted and was happy how it ended. So no one can take that away from her do you understand

He looked away.

Jun: so everyone eat get nice and full and let's start training.

After an hour breakfast was over
