Executioner of the Gods

Sometimes gods need to die. A mercy killing for immortal, powerful beings swollen from the strength of their followers and made grotesque by their belief. Few would dare attempt to murder the holy, the profane, the most profound. Even fewer dare to go against the will of the gods and the millions of followers who bolster them. All Efrain wanted to do was stay retired and hide from the thousands of dispossessed believers howling for his head. But can the only man who has successfully assassinated the gods really lay low as the world is set on fire in the flames of religious warfare? Can he hide from the all the small gods and great deities? Can he survive their fear?
