1 Chapter 1 New House

"Camila, Audie, Calvin, I'm sorry that for now you have to live in this old house. I will try to get up and build a business again. I hope that for a while we survive and I promise that one day we will be able to have everything back. which has been lost."

Garrick was unfortunate when his beloved family had to go through something like this. Camila's family and parents offered to help Garrick, but he refused because he could still support his wife and two children as the head of the household.

"Garrick, if you would accept help from my parents we wouldn't have to go through something like this. After all, is your self-respect so important compared to me and the kids?"

Camila is sitting on an old sofa in the house while their two children are now choosing a room for them to occupy. Even though this house is quite old, it is still sturdy and very spacious, has many rooms, so Audie and Calvin are free to choose which room they like because their family is only four people.

"I'm sorry Camila, it's not that I didn't pay attention to your comfort and happiness. But as a man, self-respect is very important and I'm also sure that we won't be like this forever. all that has been lost."

Garrick immediately left Camila, who was still sitting on the sofa and headed to the main room next to the family room of the house. A few days before being occupied, this house had been cleaned by Garrick's men guarding and caring for the home left by the Garrick family.

John had worked for the Flints for decades since he was a child. And now he's also going to work for Garrick even if it's not even paid for because he loves this family so much. Jhon knows that Garrick's financial condition is currently not good, so he will be the one to help the family take care of the house even without pay. Right now, he was still in the kitchen making lunch for the Garricks.

"Madam, you should drink this hot tea first so you feel more comfortable."

John approached Camila, who was sitting alone in the living room. She smiled as John placed four cups of hot tea for the Garricks who had just arrived. John was very happy because finally, this house was re-occupied by the owner even though he is very sad about what his employer's family is currently experiencing.

"Thank you very much, John."

Camila immediately took a sip of Jhon's tea, and now she immediately followed her husband, who had already entered their room. John has also returned to the kitchen to continue cooking.

"Honey, you're tired right? Get some rest. I'll ask Jhon to pack up our things. I'm also very tired, after I talk to Jhon I think I'll sleep for a while."

Garrick kissed Camila's forehead and rushed out of the room while Camila just smiled and immediately got into bed and lay down. Her body felt very tired after traveling from this city to this village. They had to take a flight from Turku city to Mariehamn, and it was very tiring even though they were still in the same country.

Audie and Calvin were now back in the living room when Garrick came out of his room. He immediately approached his two children and asked if they had got the space they wanted.

"How are the kids? Have you guys chosen your room?"

Garrick asked Audie as well as Calvin, who immediately nodded his head.

"Yes Father, I chose a room on the second floor. The place is very strategic to see the scenery outside."

Audie immediately finished her drink and ate the snacks provided by Jhon.

"How are you Calvin? Did you choose the room next to your sister?"

Garrick really loves Calvin, who even though his IQ is a little low but he is very obedient.

"I chose the room above the attic, Father. I really like that room. I will be able to rest well and study in peace because my location is a bit hidden."

Calvin is an introvert. He is more aloof due to environmental factors or genetic factors. Therefore Calvin is not like Audie's older sister, who has many friends. Calvin only has one or two friends who make him very comfortable therefore, and he becomes reticent even with his own family. Calvin is very secretive even though it's to his father and mother, as well as his own sister.

"Okay, honey, as long as you're happy, you can do whatever you like."

Garrick then asked his two sons to rest while meeting Jhon and discussing something. Audie and Calvin then immediately went into their respective rooms. They will go to school for the first time at their new school. Soon it will be the class promotion exam. Garrick doesn't want his two children to miss class, so before they move to town, Garrick asks John to take care of his son and daughter's new school.

Calvin is currently unpacking his suitcase, and he then moves his clothes into a wardrobe next to his bed. As a final year junior high school student Calvin can take care of himself, although he has mental growth delays. It's just that sometimes Calvin's mindset can't digest the information he gets like other people. He will swallow the data raw without digesting it first, so he becomes a little irritable, and finally, he chooses himself.

Calvin immediately lay down and went to sleep after his work was done. Audie was already in his room when he woke up and asked him to shower because their parents were waiting in the dining room. They were going to have lunch together.

"Okay Audie, I'll be down after a shower. You guys go first."

Calvin was still so sleepy that he went back to sleep again after Audie left. He then woke up when his mother came to bring lunch into his room.

"Honey, have lunch first. I know you're very tired, but you shouldn't be late for a meal!"

Camila smiled gently at her son, and she loved Calvin more than Audie because she knew what her son was lacking.
