The Contract – II

"I'll earn back your trust," Mimi declared with a confident smile on her face. "Your doubt comes from thinking I'm like that disgusting thing your friend had a contract with. So, let me clarify everything from the start since time is all we have here."

"You're not the same?" Haru asked, sensing her disgust when he mentioned the devil, something he hadn't seen before.

"No, I'm not. Now, let's begin," Mimi said, snapping her fingers, and in an instant, their surroundings transformed completely. 

"What--!?" Haru was slightly startled as the black water below completely vanished along with the white sky above. 

All that remained was complete darkness, where he and Mimi, who was sitting on her throne, were floating. 

However, there was one more thing in the void. A single blob of light glowed brightly within the darkness.
