5 Chapter 5: Underground

"So you are the new recruits that Link found? You don't seem like much."

A man was standing in front of us, with its eyebrows up, and an unfriendly smile on his face.

"Maybe, but appearances can be deceiving."

"Aren't you cute so what is it that you can do?"

"Leave them alone, Hank." Link appeared behind him

"You and I need to talk!"

"I know, here you go Kay"

He threw her sword into the air, she quickly caught her, placing it to Hank's neck.

"You aren't laughing now, are you?"

"Kay, what are you doing?"

"Why did you take it!? Tell me or your friend here dies!"

"It was the only way to make sure you came."

"I don't buy it, tell me the truth !!" She put the blade closer, making a small incision

"IF YOU LIE TO ME HE DIES!!"

"That is the truth, there was no other way"

Hank was in silence, the tension was only getting bigger.

" KAY LET HIM GO! "

"NOT UNTIL HE TELLS ME THE TRUTH!!"

"Why do you need me here?"

"I don't, I need Draco."

"And why do you need me!?"

"Because of me Carl."

A girl with red hair emerged from the darkness.

"Katherine it's that you? I thought they killed you. " Draco was crying

"They tried after they caught you, I ran as far away as I could, but they were always following eventually. They caught up, my luck was that Link was there, and he brought me here."

"I'm so glad you are alive." He kissed her

"So am I!"

Kay lowered the sword.

"Now that it's settled, come with me."

We followed him to a big atrium, dozens of people were there.

"Welcome to my home!"

"Are this all mutants?"

"Yes, they are. This is a safe place for your Kind, in here we are all equals, there is no fear of being persecuted."

"For some of us is easy to hide your powers, while other isn't that easy. Mack come here !"

A kid appeared, his entire body has made of glass.

"Mack this is Alex, Kay, Cross, and Draco Can you take them to their rooms?"

He waved with is head

Katherine said

"I can show Carl were is staying, don't worry. Come whit me " she held his hands and went throw a corridor.

"Well, that happens."

"What can a lad do mate!"

Mack guides us to our room whit out saying a word. Open the door pointed to some beds that here there and begins to walk away.

"THANK YOU!" but he didn't respond.

We set your begs down, Cross went to get the layout, while I and Kay unpacked. I looked at her

"You Know... You never told me what your power was."

"Why do you want to know?"

"OK, sorry for asking."

And continue to unpack, we didn't say anything for about a minute.

"I can slow down time, are you happy now!?"

"Very much. So Where did you learn how to fight like that?"

"Just stop, OK! I don't want to talk about it."

"I'm sorry for asking."

Cross walked in.

"Hey Alex, Link wants you to meet him in the library."

"And where is that?"

"Just go straight ahead, take the second left, and it's the third door on the right."

Has I was walking to there, Hank showed up.

"Your little friend, is very sassy, isn't she? But she isn't here to help you now "

"Just let it go."

He drew his hand back, punching me in the face.

"I don't understand, why Link keeps bringing worthless mutants like you in here."

He was about to hit me again, I Raised my arms trying to stop the hit.

Then he just froze while a purple flame begins spinning in my hand. I threw it at him, and he as shoved throw in the air, landing five meters ahead.

"Just leave me and my friends alone." And continued to the library. Link was standing on the door

"Come in and sit" Mack was sitting on a table.

"Do you know why I called you here?"

"No, I don't."

"Max's power is to identify the strength of the powers from other mutants. And you are a true exception."

"What do you mean by strength of powers?"

" There are eight classes of mutants, the higher the class the more powerful the mutant is. And you are a level four."

" And ???"

" Normally, a mutant who just turn are at level one or two such as your friends, but you are at level four without any training. It's just remarkable"

"If you say so."

"Do you ever used it?"

[I didn't want to tell him about what had happened with Fenrar.]

"Only once, when I was trying to save Kay from the necro."

[I hope he can't read my mind, otherwise, I'm screwed.]

"There is something else, isn't it?"

He looked intrigued as he knew more than what was leading on.

"Why do you say that?"

[He knows that I'm lying]

"You know I can read most minds, normally only a telepath can block me out of their mind. "

[Great he can read my thoughts.]

"But I know you aren't one, somehow you are blocking your mind. When Kay told me that she needed it a way into the lab to save a friend, she never told me, that it would be such a peculiar one. Anyway, I called for you because I want you to practice your abilities."

"With whom?"

"Hank, he is one of your best."

[Are you fucking kidding with me? That sh*thead just tried to kill me and now I have to train with him. Hell no!]

"Don't you have anyone else? Because, I won't train with him."

He looked at me, surprised with the answer.

"Why not? You can do so much more if you trained how to control them."

" And I will, just not with him. Not after what happen with Kay."

" I know someone else that can train you but you may not like her..., So what do you say?"

"Anyone else but Hank, its fine by me."

"Great, I will call her, go and get changed, tell your friends to come too. I will see you in the ring."

"Where is that???"

"Just go down the stairs it's the last floor"

"OK see you there."

I went to my room, Kay was standing nervously at the door. She already had changed her outfit.[she looks beautiful]

"So what did Link want?"

"He wanted to know if I already used my powers?"

" And what did you tell him?"

"That I only use it once, protecting you from the necro, for some reason he can't read my mind."

"Cross told me that we were supposed to train with Hank."

"Not anymore, Link said he knew some else. "

[I can't tell her about what happen with Hank on my way to see Link.]

"Who is it?"

" I don't know. We are supposed to meet them down on the last floor. So we should get going."

"You are right, let's go."

we follow the corridor until we reach a ladder Kay was leading the way. We started going down the stairs. I was looking at her.

[She does have a really nice ass.]

"Keep looking at my ass and I will cut your eyes out."

"I... I wasn't looking at it!"

"Sure off course not!! I'm not blind you know."

"I'm sorry, it will not happen again."

[Damm, she really is a rare kind of girl.]

We finally reach the final floor Draco and Cross were waiting with Link and some other girl.

"Alex, finally let me introduce to your trainer, Nathalie, this is Alex."

"Hi there Alex, you can call me Nath."
