29 Poker night

Zach and Kido look at each other, quickly close the window and hide under the school desks. The squeaky hinges on the door squeal as the door opens, a torch darts through the room barely missing Kido.

"Coulda sworn i heard something..."

Footsteps sound as someone walks around the room, Zachs eyes slowly adjust to the darkness allowing him to see the guard.

A large man wearing black clothing with what looks like a ballistic vest on. He looks to be black with dreads and scars littering his face.

Zach feels like this guy could be tough to beat if it devolved into a fist fight. He looks at Kido with a questioning gaze and Kido tells him to wait.

"Guess it's nothing."

The Guard leaves and shuts the door behind him,

.Close one.

"Check the cameras on the other side of the door."

Zach looks down at the pad accessing the security camera, he sees the guard sit on a sofa chair in the hallway.

He lights up a cigarette while playing with a set of cards.

.He's sitting outside alone, should we take him?.

"Yes, wait here"

Kido stands up and goes to the back of the door, he stamps on the floor making a dull sound just enough for the guard to hear.

"Turn off the camera for a minute"

Zach quickly makes the camera loop the recording of the guard sitting down.

Footsteps are heard again, faster than before.

Squeeeeak,

"There must be someone here..."

The flashlight seems to be shaking,

"I-it can't be a g-g-ghost right?"

Seems like this massive guy is afraid of ghosts, shame we can't prank him while we are on a mission.

As the man walks in Kido starts to strike.

He runs and kicks the back of the mans knee boosting himself and enabling him to reach his neck, Kidos short stature doesn't seem to faze him as he Puts the nearly 6ft tall man into a choke hold,

"Zach now!"

Zach runs and punches the stationary man in the face,

Crack!

His nose seems to have broken, Zach continues to try knock him out as Kido holds him down.

"Get off of me!"

The mans fading voice is heard as the last punch knocks him out,

.Huff, huff... What now?.

"We gag him, tie him and leave him here."

.You got the rope... I don't know how to tie knots by the way...

Kido pulls rope out of the bag and cuts a long piece,

"I wonder what you actually do in your spare time."

.Computer games...

Kido searches the man retrieving a funny looking keycard and pockets it.

They tie the man and leave him under the teachers desk, Zach kick him again just for good measure probably buying them a bit more time.

.We still have to go to the second floor.

"Lets go, we haven't got all night"

They leave the room, Kido leads the way observing everything from movement to sounds. Zach uses the pad to loop the Security cameras.

While walking down the hallway, light comes through a crack in a door.

Kido ignores it but Zach approaches and looks through the crack, he sees a group of people playing what looks to be poker... .Where did they find a poker table a school?.

Kido drags Zach away from the room to avoid a problem arising,

"We have a job to do, remember?"

Zach continues turning cameras off as they approach the stairs.

"Come on guys, i don't wanna miss the poker..."

"We have to guard the room..."

"Oh come on, you think anyone is dumb enough to try to fuck with us?"

"I guess"

The two men walk past and towards the previous room not noticing the Chubby and Asian ninjas sat in the corner.

.That was easy...

"Shut up and concentrate"

They go up the stairs and reach the office while turning off the cameras.

"Keep watch"

Kido sits and starts fiddling with the lock to the double doors of the office.

Zach puts his back to the wall while looking towards the stairs.

After a while Zach hears a voice,

"Man, wait here... I forgot my wallet"

.Shit, how long you got Kido?.

"Another 5 minutes"

.We don't have 5 minutes, someones coming.

"I can't stop now or the alarms will go off!"

.Fine, i got this.

Zach sneaks to a room near the staircase and waits. When he hears footsteps approach he does the same thing Kido did earlier, stamping on the floor he waits.

The footsteps stop as someone walks to the door.

The door nob turns as a flash light peers around the room, he walks inside and calls.

"Who's there?"

BZZT,

Zach jumps on the mans back and covers his mouth while jamming a rob into his back.

"MMMMm!"

A muffled voice sounds as the man falls over unconscious and smoking.

Zach searches him finding nothing but a pack of cigarettes and a butterfly knife, he takes them and goes back to Kido.

What Zach finds is the double doors open and Kido waiting beside them.

.We have a time limit until they come looking for that guy.

"Lets get to it then."

They turn off the cameras in the officer and look for physical evidence, Kido turns on the computer and inserts a flash drive.

"What the fuck..."
