5 The Fight

Mother Beast wakes up in the daylight. Lucato is still sleeping soundly with his cute face rubbing on the cold rocks( he wanted to rub his face on his mothers fur in sleeping)

She used a crystal wall to cover the entrance of the cave and then walked into the forest.

"What is this shining thing, am I still dreaming?" Lucato was looking very curious after seeing the crystal wall.

He walked towards the crystal wall and after curiously looking for a minute he licked it.

It's cold and has no smell. It's not ice then it could be crystal mentioned on the status.

He started to use his claw moves he learned yesterday and tried scratching on the crystal wall.

"Not a single scratch, but I am still weak".

In the forest a big cat beast carrying a big pink rabbit with red eyes.

The rabbit in her mouth is trembling in fear.

When the mother beast reached the crystal wall she touched it with her paws and the wall vanished in the air.

"Lucato come out son".

When Lucato heard this voice in his mind, he jumped and rushed towards the cave entrance. He was feeling joy and happiness after seeing his mother. This time he wanted to grab her mother or hug her but when he saw his mother carrying a big rabbit he saw yesterday in the forest he stopped.

He became serious and looked at that rabbit with cold eyes.

"If I can kill this thing then the notions I have made on evolution and skill advancement can be tested."

"Prepare yourself for the fight. I will make crystal walls for your fight and place this rabbit in it. Also don't worry I will not let you get injured in the fight".

"She is an overprotective mother. She will definitely not let me to even get a scratch."

Within a minute 4 crystal walls formed a square covering an area of nearly 20 m sq. After this Mother beast released the rabbit beast inside it.

Rabbit beast started shaking uncontrollably after touching the ground

Lucato when saw the shaking rabbit he asked her mother

"Mother I don't think he will be a good opponent in this condition."

"I will vanish my presence then this beast will again come to its best form. And then you will enter within this boundary to fight with it. Remember fear of death can make your mind unstable in the fight. This is the reason why predators can enter a herd of prey without any worry as it knows its prey is not going to attack from back as it fears its death. There are also predators that live in groups and kill powerful predators and prey with no fear as they know how to use the power of numbers. You also have to win on this fear, it will make you deal with powerful beasts and come alive in any uncertain situations. Remember that living another day is more important than winning in an unreasonable brawl"

"Ok mother" Lucato said with a cute face and happy expression. It's looking like he does not know the fear.

Mother beast was speechless after seeing his worryless boy even when she lectured him on fear and death. But after seeing her cubs cute smile she said

"Ok, I will protect you if any uncertain situation occurred just fight as you wish today".

"OK mother" again Lucato made the same happy expressions and walked inside the fighting arena after stretching his body.

In this small arena only two beasts are standing. Big rabbit became hostile after it did not sense the mother beast. When this rabbit saw a small cub its eyes became more redder and it became serious with continuously looking in the direction of the cub.

Small cub was just 1/3rd the size of that big rabbit. When Lucato felt the deadly stare his body reacted without his orders and he stepped back some steps.

"So this is the fear of death. In my previous life, I was carefree and feared nothing as my family background is not something anyone can go against. Also I became a leader when I was young so never got the time to think about anything else but business and influence. Always protected by many guards and knowing family martial arts made me fearless in society."

Lucato was an experienced old man in soul. He got out of his fear after a second and stared back at the big rabbit with murderous eyes.

Few seconds gone like this. Then a big rabbit used the first move and instantly transformed into a wheel. It rolled with its heavy body towards the direction of the standing cub.

"What!, it started using a technique. I did not expect it to be this powerful when I heard about it from my mother" Lucato thought in his mind.

He dodged the first attack by jumping at the right side.

The rabbit skillfully turned again in the direction of the cub.

"It's really a skillful opponent. I never thought it to be like this. This thing is smart and from the start wants to kill me without mercy."

This time Lucato started sprinting in the direction of the crystal wall. The rolling beast was at his back. When he reached the end Lucato jumped on the wall and used it to change his direction and landed safely on the ground.

Big Rabbit due to his momentum was not able to stop and turn. It used its tail as a stopper to slow down but still crashed in the wall.

Lucato saw a chance and jumped to the height of the big rabbit's face and used his claws to injure an eye of the beast.

Until the beast can stand up again to fight back Lucato ran and jumped at the side with his body to turn in the direction where that rabbit beast beast is.

Big rabbit was stunned by the sudden attack of the cub. He never expected that cub to fight back. But when he felt pain in his eyes he rolled on the ground instead of standing up. Its left eye was not able to open again due to exasperating pain.

Lucato again saw a chance but this time he first concentrated cold ice on one of his nails of the right big claws. And jumped as High as he can then pinned the iced nail in the throat of the rolling beast.

When the beast feels danger it's already late to react. The extension of ice on the nails went deep inside the flesh of the rabbit and it got up by supporting one of his front legs.
