1 The Game

The air felt weird as if it was stagnant I swore that I put the fan and air conditioner on before I went too bed. I tried willing myself too wake up but I just couldn't wake myself up. My body feels heavy as I try too move around but it doesn't respond as if it was trying too as hard as possible too not allow me too move. I hear voices just out of earshot, I try too listen more carefully trying too understand what the voices want.

"Isn't he a bit too young, how did he even awaken?' said one voice sounding like a young lady

"It doesn't matter he needs too be put in stasis before he can fully awaken" said another voice, sounding more gruff with heavier tone more fitting too be a workers voice.

"Both of you stop you're childish talks we have work too do" said another voice sounding from an elderly man, "He seems too have awoken, remove the anesthetic so we can have a chat before the experiments commence."

Like a haze that finally cleared up I could feel the feeling of heaviness in my body disappearing I could finally open my eyes but white light hit my eyes not of the dull calm light of mornings but the bright light you mostly see in hospitals and laboratories, as my eyes condition too the harsh light, I tried too stretch as but couldn't as my arms and legs felt the cold touch of metal instead of the soft touch of a quilt. With my movements restricted I can feel the sense of dread that comes when you're no longer in control as the feeling over takes me I can feel the dread well up in my head as I wonder what happened, what series of events caused me too be shackled with metal cuffs.

As my eyes finally adjust too the the harsh light I could make out a laboratory. I try too move my head but, again felt resistance and from the edge of my vision I could just see a metal shackle with cushions unlike the shackles that bind my limbs, as I could only look forward I see a glass pane that separates me from a group of people in white lab clothes I could see an elderly man looking at me through the glass pane behind him stood a tall man with in a black uniform, looked like security but next too him stood a young lady much smaller than the man in black but wore a white lab coat like everyone else.

"I see you have woke up", said the old man ,"I'm guessing you are asking why you are here, but first let me ask you, do you know what you are and why we need you?"

I was stumped, I just graduated from school and I whined up tied too a chair, I try too reply but I just couldn't get my lips too open so I tried my best too reply I just couldn't, my body still felt heavy I just could hear and see but nothing else.

"Ah, yes you cant respond just yet, just shake you're head side ways if you can't understand, so let me start, you were chosen by the creators of the human race, what do you think about that?"
