Chapter 9 - Hannah and the Seven Children

Three days later, while Zach and Zoey were doing their daily running, they found themselves meeting a group of survivors. The twins were astonished as they didn't expect the composition of the group upon seeing seven pale and weak children of age ranging from probably 5 to 6 years old following a woman with disheveled hair and dirty clothes. 

"D-Do you have some food and water?" The woman weakly said while holding on to the children around her however, it didn't take long before she collapsed and fell on the floor where the children immediately started crying. 

Seeing the woman, Zach and Zoey immediately come over and help her. It was their first time seeing other people again and so they wouldn't just stand and wait for her to die. With that, Zach carried the woman while Zoey took care of the children as they headed back to their house. 

Not long after that, the neighborhood where Zach and Zoey seem to become lively again upon seeing seven children and one adult eating breakfast together. Zach and Zoey kept on looking at the people that they helped munch everything on the table. Judging by how they ate, they must have not eaten for some time now. 

"T-Thank you. Thank you for sharing some of your food." The woman said with watery eyes as she looked at Zach and Zoey with gratefulness. She knew how important food was in this period and yet Zach and Zoey didn't hesitate to share some with them. 

"Don't worry about the food and just eat for now." Zach replied while looking at them with pity. He couldn't help but think how much suffering they have experienced until now, especially these weak and innocent children. 

Hearing Zach, the woman then expressed her gratitude once more as she continued eating the same with the children with her. It was not long after the woman started talking about their story and how they survived up until now. 

The woman's name is Hannah Dunne, she was a preschool teacher before everything turned out like this. They were lucky after the police took the place she was teaching into an evacuation site, but as time passed by, more and more people came either injured or not and that was when the problem arose. 

It was still okay after the second calamity struck as the food was still enough but when the third week came, the place they were staying unfortunately didn't make it as a meteor fell right into the place. After that, a riot suddenly happened after some of the people took the chance to take the supplies for themselves and left the place. 

After that, the evacuation site collapsed after the people left one by one trying to find a safe place. Hannah was lucky enough to survive that day but some of her students were not. Some of the parents of her students took their children while some stayed with her. They were originally a group of 10 but two of them died in the fourth week when the Earthquake struck. 

After all the introductions, each started doing their business as Zach promised them that they could stay with them in this place. With that, the first thing Zach did was tell them to take a bath which Zoey helped the children while Zach took the chance to assemble another family tent for them to stay in. 

As the bathroom was small, Zoey took the children and Hannah to the backyard and there they started taking a bath using the water coming from the plastic water drum filled with clean mineral water. As Hannah was still unconscious back then, Zach took out several stocks of supplies immediately in order not to get suspicious, but he knew sooner or later, that she would get to know about it since they would be staying in place, so he left Zoey to talk it out with Hannah.

"Zoey, are you and Zach twins?" Suddenly, while Hannah was helping a child clean herself, she could not help but ask as her curiosity kicked in. She didn't voice it a while back as she still felt embarrassed by how good they were in treating them.

"You don't have to be so polite sister Hannah. Zach and I were twins and still a college student before the calamity happened." Zoey replied with a smile while looking at Hannah. It was the first time she had talked to another person aside from Zach, so she was kind of happy having Hannah around.

"Ehhh!! College, really? I t-thought." Hannah was astonished upon hearing Zoey knowing that they were still in college because the two of them didn't appear like one, especially Zach who looks too mature to be still in college. 

"Well, I'll leave the explanation to Zach later but for now I will have something to say to you with great importance. Sister Hannah, as you and these children were new to this place, I would like you to follow some of our rules." Zoey said and her face turned serious. 

"We only have one rule in this place. Zach will allow you to stay here for as long as you want and provide you with enough food and supplies as long as you won't ask questions about where we got them. That is all we need, and we can live with each other peacefully." Zoey followed as she looked at Hannah with a smile before tending to the child she was helping to wash. 

On the other hand, Hannah was completely surprised upon hearing Zoey's words, especially the way she talked about it as if she became a completely different person for some reason. Though she also thought about what she said regarding the supplies, she was not a nosy type of person, and she didn't care where they got it as long as they could have their fill. 

With that, Zoey and Hannah then started a normal conversation while helping the kids as laughs and giggles could be heard in the place making Zach who was almost done assembling the tent smile from hearing it. 

Time passed quickly, the group had their lunch seeing everyone's excited faces, especially Hannah and the seven children as they were having a barbecue. Now that everyone has taken a bath, their previous look has turned for the better, especially Hannah herself. 

After having a bath and having the chance to change into some clean and decent clothes, Hannah's beautiful face showed on its own. Zach immediately felt a little attracted to her the second he looked at her as she looked still young probably in her mid or late 20's and it was only after a while did he returned to normal. 

Zach thought that Hannah probably had many suitors before the calamity as aside from her long blonde hair that greatly compliments her face, she had a body that would make any man take a glimpse and probably say that they had finally found the perfect curves in their lives. 

While eating, Zach couldn't stop himself from peeking at Hannah before Zoey pinched his waist and faced her glaring eyes. With that, he then calmed himself down as there were more important topics to be discussed and thought about how he would relay it so Hannah wouldn't be too surprised. 

Meanwhile, Hannah could be found blushing while helping the children to eat. Zach's stare was pretty obvious so she couldn't help but feel something especially if it came from a handsome man like him. Just like Zach's thoughts, she had many suitors back in the day, but she was too focused on her career that she forgot about it however, now that things have turned for the worse, her mind has also changed together with it and is now conscious about these kinds of stuff. 

Night came and everyone was now inside their respective tents. Nothing much of importance happened in the afternoon aside from getting to know each other more. In order not to make the children sad, Zach, Zoey, and Hannah didn't talk about depressing stuff as they enjoyed the moment of peace. 

Meanwhile, inside the tent where Zach and Zoey were sleeping, the twins could still be found wide awake and were engaging in some sexual activities seeing the former lying on the bed with his hands holding the head of the latter who was sucking off his cock.

Though he really felt attracted, he felt like it must be due to the reason for seeing another woman for so long. It's not like he fell in love at first sight since what he was facing right now was the person he loved the most. 

"Don't worry. I won't replace you with anyone." Meanwhile, Hannah who could be found inside the tent Zach provided was still wide awake while looking at her students. Zach's assumptions and guesses were something that she, as a teacher, felt logical. It was only after today that she found out the changes that happened inside her and it completely broadened her mind. Moreover, there's another thing that was bugging her and that was the food they were eating. Yes, it had been a while since they had eaten such a luxury, but she was very curious to death where they came from but she kept her mouth shut after what Zoey had told her. 

"As long as we can eat and survive. That's all that matters." Hannah muttered before she closed her eyes and prepared to sleep. However, after clearing her mind, that was when she noticed something. She got up curiously after hearing some noises and so she moved toward the corner of the tent to hear it clearly. 

"W-What the hell?" Hannah couldn't believe what she was hearing right now. Though she was not an expert in this area, she was not clueless either and so she knew what these noises entailed. She just couldn't believe that it was happening, especially knowing that the tent beside them was Zach and Zoey's. 

"A-Are they really doing it?" Hannah muttered as she imagined something in her mind. She didn't even notice that she had continued listening to them for some time and only woke up after realizing that the noise had come to an end. 

"J-Just what am I doing? It's not my business to pry into their relationship." Realizing what she just heard, she went back to sleep but the noises that she heard kept on hunting her before she subconsciously started touching herself, and only then she fell asleep after a place in her pants became wet.
