8 Chapter Eight

Although live is still hard for the normal citizens of Tai Ping but the level for revolution. The four gentry families look down on the normal citizens, but they are still smart enough not to go too overboard. The four gentry family's function like the nuts and bolts of these empire instead of the emperor and it's officials. So technically the four gentry if more like the royal families and more well known than the real royal family and its officials. The Shang Guan family is the top gentry family in Tai Ping and its foundations came from the previous top gentry family, the Ying family and is Ying Zetian enemy. Shang Guan Yi, her father was just a poor man and married into the family and is the husband of her mother, Ying Meei Meei. Ying Meei Meei was the only child and daughter of the last head of the Ying family.

The three other gentry families of course "force" the emperor to issue order to kill the whole Ying family. The three other gentry families for a long time have already been jealous of the strong Ying family and thus happily help Shan Guan Yi in a bid to get rid of the Ying family. The Ying family was given to Shang Guan Yi as the three other gentry families deem him to be too weak and he became the new head of the Ying family.

The three other gentry families wanted to slowly sallow the Ying family as they look down on Shang Guan Yi as he was originally just a poor man. This is one decision that they will forever regret. Of course, these is what the original Ying Zetian heard from the gossip in the marketplace. Only the main branch of the Ying family is fully killed but there are still multiple other small branches of the Ying family.

Shang Guan Yi renamed the Ying family to Shang Guan. And in three years since he killed the Ying family, Shang Guan Yi have fully taken over control of the Ying family.
