7 CHP 7: The memory
June went off. His horse gallops through the green forest. The tall bamboo overtowers him but that does not scare him. He was brave as a knight. He went off to Aunt Yoon house without his guard instead alone. At first, his mother told him to bring the guard along but June refused to bring him along.
" mother. I am big enough to go alone. I know to protect myself when assassin come. I learn swordsmanship since 6 years old. The chief of defence son teaches me. He is a great teacher. Mother, I will be saved. Don't worried about me but Hyun. Hyun is just 5 years old. He needs you more than me. The guard also needs a break from following me 24/7. I want him to take a rest day. Plus, where will the guard sleep at Aunt Yoon house?" asked June.
" Okay, but be safe. Don't be too brave," said his mother.
This vivid dream pass through June mind. He regretted going to Aunt Yoon house. The conversation between June and his mother make him sob when he passed through the green forest. He looks at Aunt Yoon, she looks like his mother. He knew he needs to go back to the palace but how?
Aunt Yoon does not have the answer. If Aunt Yoon knew he wants to go back to the palace, she will get mad like a bull. Horns will come out from his head. Her answer is so obvious that it will a no and think that June is stupid to go back to the palace where he got kicked out. Looking at Aunt Yoon tired face make him forget about the question.
"Aunt Yoon let me carry you at my back. You look tired. I will carry you back home," said June.
" prince June," said Aunt soon.
June shake his head. Aunt Yoon understood him right away.
" June, I can't let someone like you carry me on your back. It will hurt your shoulder and you already carried my bag for me. I cant asked anything more than that," said Aunt Yoon.
"Aunt, I am your nephew. I won't budge until you got into my back," said June while squatting in front of her.
Aunt Yoon look around. She looks confused and uneasy. She decides to let June carry her back home.
"Aunt, why did you not allow the mother to marry to father?" asked June while walking slowly with Aunt Yoon on his back
" you are too young to know about that"replied Aunt Yoon.
"Aunt I am already 20 years old. I am considered as an adult already. Don't treat me like a kid," said June with disbelief.
" I will tell you soon," answered Aunt Yoon.
June continues walking like a sad wondering soul looking for the way to go to heaven. Will June even get the answer he wanted? Many questions pop out from his head but he has no courage to ask Aunt Yoon.
