56 Scammer Boss FeiFei

Sun Mei had no way to respond to Bai Jingfei's gushing over Song Yongrui. She very much wanted to drag her away, as far as possible, but not at the cost of hurting Bai Jingfei.

While she was interested in the wrong person, her love was adorable, and she looked cutest when happy. That didn't mean that Song Yongrui was the only one who could make her happy though. She could always find her someone better.

Sun Mei made up her mind to find Bai Jingfei a better man. Someone kinder, softer, and cuter. Someone that matched her personality, and didn't have such an 'interesting' background.

Someone with a rich but boring background would suffice.

Maybe the student of another heavenly doctor. All of them were fairly young, and were decently famed and rich. They could start a medical hall together.

'Yes, that would be cute.' thought Sun Mei.

Then it struck her that she hadn't even asked Bai Jingfei. As she stared at the grinning Bai Jingfei, who had her hands firmly plastered to her cheeks, she realized that maybe Bai Jingfei just liked that man.

She quickly brushed away the thought of marrying her off at all.

Girls were best kept treasured in the palms of your hands, not given away to stinky men. Bai Jingfei was a child, an adorable one at that. She didn't deserve to go give birth to a child for some random man.

"FeiFei don't get married." she whispered softly.

It was so soft that even Bai Jingfei, who had sharp senses from her time as a cave creature, couldn't catch her words. Even if she had caught them, it was unlikely that she would listen to her. Especially since Bai Jingfei had long made up her mind.

The pitter patter of footsteps were heard as Song Zihao ran up behind them, puffing as usual.

"My brother- said-" he stopped to huff for a second as Bai Jingfei and Sun Mei kept their eyes stuck on him, "You two should stay here till the work is done."

He then fell on to the ground behind him, and rolled around for a while, breathing heavily. He waved his hands desperately as Sun Mei watched in disgust.

"No. FeiFei is going back home." she yelled at the man on the floor.

"Home? To the Bai mansion? Then the king will marry me off to a prince." said Bai Jingfei with a pout. Her innocent eyes, burning into Sun Mei's face, made her rethink her decision.

The princes were all bigger scumbags than anyone in the Jianghu could possibly be.

Bai Jingfei was better off marrying anyone other than one of the princes. Marriage with the prince was one thing that she couldn't let happen to Bai Jingfei.

"Fine. We're going back to chief Zhao's house." she said with a frown.

"Chief Zhao is nasty MeiMei. I don't feel safe in his house. Let's just stay here please?" said Bai Jingfei with a pleading frown, her eyes watering up a little.

Sun Mei had to give up.

What Bai Jingfei was saying was true. Chief Zhao was not a good man either. They were probably better off staying in the Jianghu than going back to that greasy man. She nodded her head, looking at Bai Jingfei.

"Can you find somewhere our coachman can rest?" asked Sun Mei to the shameless man, still spread over the floor, trying to catch his breath. He had the stamina of a dead frog.

'But he's quite good looking. Their genes are good.' thought Sun Mei finally.

She quickly brushed the thoughts off and composed herself. This was not the time for her to be looking at a man. She had to get Bai Jingfei to a room and separate her from any contact with Song Yongrui, the child snatcher.

Well technically, teenager snatcher. Or, 'just old enough to get married by societal standards of said era' snatcher. Child snatcher was catchier though.

"We're heading to the front of the house to ask a maid to show us to our room then." she said, yawning, still hugging Bai Jingfei.

Bai Jingfei nodded, "MeiMei can I talk to him for a moment." she whispered, and Sun Mei nodded. She didn't want to drag Bai Jingfei around the house to search for a maid. It was fine to let her have a minute. All the damage was already done.

She turned on her heel, almost spinning, and then walked away in search of help, leaving Bai Jingfei behind to wait for her. Bai Jingfei stared at her back, innocently and almost wistfully.

As she strode off, Bai Jingfei broke into an evil grin and turned to the confused Song Zihao on the floor. She bent forward and stuck her hand out, in the 'give me all your money, fool' position.

"That'll be thirty thousand gold coins." she grinned.
