Sun Mei only had to wait a couple hours for Bai Jingfei to come flying back to the Sun family to steal some candy. Bai Jingfei did this every night after her father would realize that she had had too much already.

But mama Sun never cared for that sort of thing, and fed Bai Jingfei whatever it was that she wanted to eat when she came over. That made Bai Jingfei want to stick around in the Sun mansion all day long.

Sun Mei waited for Bai Jingfei to come over, and then finally took her chance at asking her.

They were heading off to war the very next day, so it was best if she found out right now. 

She knew it was unlikely that they would be able to get their hands on another of those… things? But she also knew that there was no harm in taking a chance and trying her best.

"FeiFei? Where did you get that shooting thing?" Sun Mei asked softly as Bai Jingfei lounged on the couch beside her.
