Everyone looked at Zhang Jiren in surprise, their jaws dropped when he raised his number and bid for Li Meili's dress. Li Meili who was still up the stage, stared at her husband with widened eyes as she was also caught off guard, seeing him participating in the auction. 

"Wait. Why is Zhang Jiren bidding for his wife's dress?" someone asked from the crowd. 

"Of course, that is precisely why he is bidding on it. The dress was made by his wife, so why would he allow another person to have it?"
