Mengmeng vented to Yang Chao about what happened recently. Instead of him find out days later that Ji Xingyu and Si Yingxia lost badly to the new student originally, he learned bout it the same day!
After the beat down Ji Xingyu and Si Yingxia took, Yang Chao was starting to feel worse about himself overall. He may have more money than them, but they were better fighters than he. His father was also starting to get on his case about who he hung out with.
The case of having to cover up for his son causing an issue at the Kaorke place was coming to cause an issue. The medical bills to make sure the young man didn't lose his hands were even worse.
"Tch!" Yang Chao looked at those who hung out with him disdainfully. His girlfriend Mengmeng had been given him trouble since a few days ago. All that anger was starting to fester and made him unbelievably depressed with himself. The final straw came from his dad. "What is this?"
*Text* Do your behavior recently I am cutting your spending money in half. If you don't like it, prove your worth son.
"Boss Chao, what's wrong?" A lackey asked.
"My dad cut my funds. So no partying for while!" He kicked the closes vehicle creating a dent. "How can things get even worse?".....

Knowing future events go a long way for business-
.
Rexford was checking over his phone happy as can be about some news. Aunty Tang came through with an entertainment connection for him. She took it one step further gaining an Agency that was falling on hard times and purchasing it for him.
Not a fool business-wise, Rexford made sure all the paperwork gave him ownership and control of the place. Aunty Tang had a good bit of funds tucked way in case of business ever went bad for her husband. Or if he offended someone.
A few people contracted under the Agency didnt know the trouble going on of the business as well as the underhanded methods that were in the work to keep the owners afloat. Like selling their Clients to people.
One was a female named Gong Zhenyu who would come out ok as far as Rexford was concerned. The others were two he would definitely get involved with. A weird friend jealously pair. They would good workers or.. they could go get a regular nine to five job.
'Thinking about Gong Zhenyu... there is that Fetal Elemental Fruit in Siberia. No sense in letting that remain for months later.' Rexford checked over any people a little bit of Mining in that area. Not much was found using normal means however. 'Something I will have Wei Ziqing look into for me. Or I can take a private copter there.'
There was also Paul of Sibera. A bear of a man that would make a good Agent for operations and movements there. Then also those who lived there part of the Dark List.
Wrestling with the decision, the best would be not to go just yet. More strength would be needed for himself, plus his Agents were not that strong yet. Nor the connections.
He had to keep in mind he was the same as in his original Earth. More people and more movement across the chessboard that is life, was definitely the way to go.
Plus the Hongmeng Group (Assassin Group) was also predominately going after resources like thanks to their president. Instead of bringing their numbers down low as the dumbass Chen Fan did, it is better to get them under his thumb and gain that information about various places.
Sending a thank you to Aunty Tang, Rexford checked on a few properties for the cheap buy. He needed on overall Real Estate agent to work for him. One that knew the area to would work as well.
'I will have no problem with demolition with what I have planned. A small construction company would help overall for matters as well. Quite a few dead beats in the area I can conscript forcefully using different techniques. I am doing a public service afterall.' Rexford finished a walk around the campus and doing a few waves to students. 'Should I pass out fliers to help recruit... or.. just talk to them..'
Rexford's mental thoughts trailed off as quite a few students gave an "interested" look to him. Not wanting to be rude, he moved over and talk the basic shit with them. These students were noisy and wanted to know all sorts of matters.
Once he let them know he was going into various avenues of Business, Film, and Traveling, a few thought he was nuts. So far not a single one could find out anything on the name he used in the area.
Talking to Ranran gave no real insight either. She said he was a country bumpkin named Chen Fan but the students didn't agree with that at all.
After all, the teacher introduced him differently and Rexford showed them a license as well that also made them think otherwise. A few just chalked it up to Ranran being petty or she was mistaken overall.
"Well, if any of you are looking for small work, hit me up." Rexford passed some cards over that he prepared beforehand on his days off. "We are currently going through the restructuring phase but hey, you know the owner so a decent chance to get in early."
"Feels legit. Different China entity types such as an Equity joint venture company, Subsidiary LLC, Holding company LLC, and LLC with employment visa set up." One of the students had scanned the QRC code in the center of the card. "SO much stuff."
"All kid programs and... a few teen programs in the works." A young inspiring actor mumbled. "Oh, even theater!"
"Like I said, it is for the future, not opened just yet." A few of them would make decent cultivators. Especially applying a little Gold Qi to change their circumstance from the ordinary to something a little more. 'Just need to get them interested in working for me for now.'
*Babump!* Rexford's heart gave a weird offbeat. A weird sensation passed through his body for a micro fraction of a second. In his Internal Space, a purple-type mist floated around the mini him.
By the reactions of the mini, it was not something harmful. Slowly it rotated around gaining small speeds. Reminding him of the pleasant sensation Gaia gave when he was coming apart at the sees before arriving in this Dimension.
"Hey! The cards have different numbers on them!" A student pointed out. "Any significance?"
"Yup, I passed them after learning each of your names and a little about you." Rexford gave a full tooth smile showing his phone. With their names but the description next to each one was in french. "Helps me remember when and if you try to come work for me."
As they broke into discussions a little more, a few students that had problems with Rexford overheard everything. One particular student president and a confused redhead Yang Chao who came to a decision.
Waiting for them all to leave Rexford alone, he walked up to Rexford reluctantly. Feeling extremely awkward he had to just blurt it out.
"Please train me!" Yang Chao had said the most embarrassing words in his life today. He was so ashamed of himself that he wanted to climb into a hole and bury himself. There was always the chance he would say no. 'After what happened the other day, he is most likely going to say no.'
"Sure." Rexford gave the teen a friendly smile. "But it will be very difficult. Prepared for some pain? As well as different methods you may not find suitable for yourself."
.
Home-
.
Driving to the villa, Yang Chao couldn't believe it when the guard let them in. Rexford really wasn't lying when he told him the place was his.
"Greetings Master!" Biao saluted. He was just running a few laps around the place while off. "Who is this?"
"A current classmate that I am offering a chance to. So, no need for formalities." Rexford walked into the house with the other two following behind.
"So what do you know about Earth Masters and how they cultivate?" Rexford took a seat and removed a bottle of vodka from his Internal Space. Dropping a few Spirit Enhancing Pills inside, he gave it a few swirls before putting it on the table. "How dangerous they are?"
"Heard the rumors seen some things but what does that have to with me really? My fighting is only soso. I pay people to take care of those kinds of things. If it was something I thought I could really achieve, then I would." Yang Chao was tracking what was being said. But he considers it all make-believe and childhood things really. "People can not stop bullets with their flesh. Or run faster than a bullet train."
"Heh!" Biao scoffed.
"It can bring you more power than you currently have for one. But do you really want it? Willing to fight for your life to achieve it?" Rexford's eyes started glowing dangerously. "The supernatural is very real, and I am sure the legends around the city should make you wonder more about how crazy things can be. In fact, a lot will change soon."
Biao paid closer attention at this. He had noticed over the last few months activity had increased in a few of the gangs. Power was shifting as more martial masters had decided to get busy. Not to mention the rumor of some big wig making a move soon.
"The history of most Martial in the area were derived from an Old Qi Method long ago. Creating so many different methods and having so many different upgrades applied to by different people made for such a different overall experience per person. The competition stuff you learned is a facade taking away from the real reason martial arts exist."
"The need to preserve one's life and self-discipline." Yang Chao stated.
"As well as the need to kill and take out one's enemies."Biao said resolutely. "But guns have taken the place of that. Curbing the need for physical improvement to that level. With Master not exceeding the level to beat that type of firepower produced. Let alone that of missiles."
"The Ming Dynasty.. should be the end of the wave of Martial artist due to that." Rexford recited from memory. "The standard circle knows mostly of Outer Strength, Inner Strength, and the Sublimity. With the first being anyone who trains really to an athletic level. With or without developing the power available in Outer Strength."
"Rumors suggest there is something beyond that of Sublimity." Biao had been checking into things more sense learning from Rexford. The legends and myths were not to farfetched to him anymore. "ANy insights into it?"
He asked towards Rexford.
"Divine Realm, comparable to a small country to wielding the power of a small country, Human Immortal, can use the power of Earth Immortal just a bit. But not something one should do willy nilly. Earth Immortal is after that. They were once called Saints and Demigods. Japan has quite a few of them currently. Then finally.. Celestial Immortal. Bodhisattvas, true Deities of a Dimension."
"Of a Dimension.. so that SciFi stuff is real?" Yang Chao was in a cold sweat as he asked. By the looks of Rexford and Biao, this was something they believed wholeheartedly. "Are you guys messing with me?"
"Proof is what you need then. That is good to be skeptical." Rexford produced a simple knife. Passing it over to Yang Chao he shocked the teen with his words. "Take this and stabbed wherever you want."
"Master!" Biao protested. "You are tough but this is a little to much!"
"Nonsense. It is a test. One can not expect to be anything in a world of violence without drawing blood themselves or surviving a great ordeal to strengthen the mind." Rexford would do the same as his teachers did in the past when they had new recruits. "We can always go hunting and he can kill an animal with his bare hands and eat it. Or if he wanted to develop a really jacked-up mind, we can buy him a pet that he can bond with for a month then kill. I prefer this method myself though."
"What if you die?" Yang Chao shook like a leaf. He never stabbed someone before. It never occurred to him that beating someone up with your fists was more of a personal method. As in to say, beating someone to death would have an ever higher psychological effect on a domesticated person. "I .. I .. don't want to go to jail."
"You won't silly boy." Rexford shook his head understanding it may take a while before Yang Chao was able to take that step forward. "Biao can teach you martial arts if you want. But you won't be learning from me if that's the case. This is a condition of mine."
Yang Chao gripped the knife so tight it left marks in his hand. Sweat dripping down his body as both shame and anger built up.
Biao watched quietly as Rexford closed his eyes.
Hour after hour passed with nothing happening. Rexford checking over his Internal Space to see what was going on with the mini and the strange energy by Gaia. The mini took a deep breath and absorbed the strange substance.
But something else happened at the same time. A new silhouette formed as Yang Chao lunged forward stabbing Rexford in the chest.
"Waaah!" The knife shattered upon impact. Leaving Yang Chao completely shocked. A small thought of it being fake disappeared as a few fragments cut him across the face. "Impossible..."
"Haa, that was just nuts." Biao sighed heavily.
"Haha, that was fun." Rexford felt some rich qi enter inside him. He pulled out a Vortex Spirit Enhancing Pill and passed it to Yang Chao. "The first test has been passed. The next one requires you to learn a martial art for killing. Your choice mind you. This is the third."
Yang Chao was still dazed but heard everything clearly. Looking at Rexford the only thought he had was to gain strength like this. The killing part, however, he was not to sure about. Well, it was just the beginning after all. It would take time to change his mind to what was needed.
