Timos POV
It was an unbelievable feeling to finally stand on the court. I instantly felt my body shaking in excitement.
„Match start! Falcons are serving!"
I took the ball and walked behind the service line. I made a few steps behind the line and hit the ball onto the ground for a few times. The whistle blew and I tossed the ball up to the air.
„(Perfect!)"
Annes POV
Timo jumped and launched an insane serve right between two players who weren't even able to react.
„Service ace! Timo with his first serve and ace at the same time!"
The boys gave him a high five.
„That's good! We gained momentum!"
„Yeah, that's how to start a game!"
Timo did another good serve, which was barely received and instantly went to our side again.
„That's mine!"
Felix made a good receive to Jack, who tossed it to Niki. Three of the other teams players tried to stop him.
„Three blockers!"
„Don't get ahead of yourself! We're going to stop you!"
Niki just smiled.
„Maybe in a few years!"
He hit the ball perfectly and broke through the three man block, making the point.
„What a spike by Niki!"
Timo did his serve, but this time, it went to their setter.
„Now look at this, shitty birds! That's how you do an attack!"
Their ace jumped, but suddenly David appeared in front of him. The other teams ace tried to break through his block, but wasn't able to match him, so we made our third point with a clean stuff-block by David.
„Nice block!"
Unfortunately, Timos next serve caught the net.
„Haha, that one was bad (Thank god, it's over!)"
The other team was serving, but Timo was able to receive it. Simon spiked it, but the other teams receiver was able to get it and their setter tossed it towards one of their attackers.
„Don't get ahead of yourself!"
He launched an attack with enormous power.
„Haha, how's tha.."
„Got it!"
Felix however did what he could do best, appeared from nowhere and received the attack. Jack made a quick attack with David and made the point.
„Nice!"
„Wow, they're really good this year!"
„Yeah, they could really beat the bulls!"
„Amazing!"
The people watching seemed to be more and more impressed by us. And we played better and better and more people were watching our game. Little time later, we were leading with 24:10.
„Damm it!"
„Calm down!"
„It's that guy serving!"
It was Nikis turn to serve. He made 6 steps behind the service line and turned around. The referee whistled and Niki used his left hand to throw the ball up to the air, ran and jumped.
„Bring it!"
Niki spiked the ball. Before anyone was able to react, the ball landed on the ground.
....
„W-what was that!"
I just smiled.
„(The double edged sword is cutting today!)"
„Yes!"
„First set is taken by the 8th district falcons!"
Simons POV
„(This is a Dream, right? We could never take the first set with such a lead!)"
„Captain! We won the first set!"
„Are you able to look into my mind?!"
„What?"
„Forget it! Anyway, good job guys!"
„Thank you!"
„But they're not done yet! Keep it up!"
The second set started. The other team tried to stop us, but at the end of the second set, the points were 24:15.
„Damm! We can't lose here! Impossible!"
David was serving. The other team received the ball and they started an attack, but Niki got an one touch on it. I received the ball and Jack tossed it towards Timo. He jumped and smashed the ball into the ground.
„25:15! 8th district falcons win!"
„Yes!"
„Nice job boys!"
I couldn't believe it. We had won in the first round.
„Captain! The falcons are flying, aren't they?"
„Yes! Good job, all of you!"
Unknown persons POV
I wanted to watch this match to check out out the teams. But the match was pretty one-sided and in the end, the falcons won.
„Ok, time to go. Our next opponent is decided."
I walked towards the changing room of my team and opened the door.
„At least! Where have you been Dexter?"
I looked at the boy with the blue hair who was talking to me.
„What do you mean? I was just checking out the next team. Although nobody is able to match us here anyway!"
I grinned at our ace.
„Isn't that right, Noah?"
