4 Hospital

Still in the hospital bed, I was thinking about life and stuff, on what I should do now, what's going to happen to me. I don't even know where I am!

I won't lie, I regret it. I was an idiot, now life is going to be hell! Why did I do this?! It's so irrational! I just killed someone, a human! I'm a normal person, why did I do this?! Argh.

I started to cry, putting my head down with my hands covering my face. I was really sorry now that I had an overview and a more open mind to everything I did.

Well, I think it is fine to have an anxiety crisis, but now I can't go back in time, but for sure I don't want to face the consequences.

I need to get a better idea of what's going on around me.

"Hey! Nobody's here?!" I tried to scream, not too loud obviously. I was waiting for someone to enter the room. I could have left on my own if I wasn't so tired and all my body sore.

I heard the sound of someone opening the door, a woman who appeared to be a nurse entered the room.

"Hi, my name is Amelia. Can you lie down a little bit so I can check you out?" She spoke in a sweet voice after entering the room slowly. She said that way so I would feel more comfortable with her there.

I nodded and lay down on the gurney.

She's probably going to check my blood pressure or something like this.

She placed her hand next to mine, extended her index and middle finger facing my wrist, while her thumb was on the other side, to assert the position.

1 minute later she walked away and said

"Ok, ok."

Then she took a stethoscope that was between her neck like a necklace.

Fitting the eartips to her outer ears, adjusting the stems, and placing the bell on my left upper chest, near the area on the chest where human hearts are located, she began to count my heartbeats.

I'm not sure how this works, so I won't go into more detail.

A little bit later she walked away with her stethoscope and began filling out a clipboard.

"What's your full name?" She asked me.

"Kade, just Kade."

"Beautiful name." She praised me, I didn't answer.

She looked up from her clipboard a few moments later.

"Was a pleasure to meet you…"

"Kade." Before she could check her clipboard for my name I told her.

"It was nice meeting you Kade, have a good time." She left the room, closing the door carefully.

Maybe in another timeline I would think 'finally some time to have peace' but I was there, sitting and breathing patiently for something to happen.

If I'm not mistaken, it was some cops who brought me here, won't they come here and ask me a bunch of questions?

I shivered, cops! What if they found out what I did? I'm going to be arrested, my whole future is going to be ruined! This can not happen. But it's very unlikely they'll find anything out, there's nothing they can accuse me of doing, and even if they find the car, I might as well make an excuse.

But even so, there is still a risk, I have to be careful.

Unlike my expectations, a doctor entered the room. I just had an examination, I'm not sick or I have an pathological disease, anything like that. I'm just a little weak and with other issues that I haven't figured out yet, why would a doctor come here?

"Excuse me, I'm Doctor. Robertson. If you're wondering why I'm here, no, it's not to examine you. I'm just here to talk to you for a little time." The doctor, bald on the front of his head and with tiny glasses the size of his eyes. He said in an almost robotic voice, as if he had prepared this line beforehand.

It seemed suspicious to me, he looked a little bit nervous too. The bird told me there was something wrong with his presence here. I just looked at him and waited for him to continue.

"When you were brought here, we found a student card in your pocket, knowing that, please answer a few questions." He said in an almost threatening tone, intimidating me and saying implicitly 'cooperating is not an option.'

"OK." I answered.

He took a notebook out of one of his coat pockets.

"Let's get started then," he paused and began to look and flip through the pages of the notebook. "Am I correct that your name is Kade Smith?" he continued, then gave me a questioning look.

"Yes, this is true. My full name is Kade Smith."

He looked back at his notebook and wrote something, then looked back at where I was.

"Great. Do you know why you're in this hospital?" He asked.

"No, I don't know why." I know why. There is no reason for me to say, I know, he knows. For now, I'm just going to pretend I don't understand my situation, so he can explain better.

The questions continued as a cycle, at some point they started to become more difficult to answer, for example, why do I came here by foot.

After half an hour of questions he finally left the room, I was in a cold sweat.

When he opened the door to leave, I could vaguely see one or two police officers waiting outside. I know what that means, so you do.

With the whole day free, I lay there. Probably all the misunderstandings as to why I'm here have been partially resolved for them, enough by the looks of it.

In the next day, I was inside the hospital with no reason to be there. I still couldn't leave, before that there's the paperwork. I don't have any documents with me and I'm a under aged, my cell phone fried on the way so I can't use it anymore.

I gave them all my information that was necessary. The entire process was quick and smooth.

My parents have already been contacted and nobody wants to know what happened. In fact they think they already know, I didn't make up a giant excuse.

Only with the true story, slightly altered, along with some vague parts, they had no more doubts about what happened and on my veracity.

I haven't manipulated anyone, I don't even know if I can do it. They just accepted what I threw at them without even questioning.

----------------------------------------------------

2 days in hospital, I will probably be released tomorrow. During the time I'm here, once yesterday and today the nurse came to check me, besides that, nothing else happens.

I left the room and started walking through the corridors, most of the doors were closed, the ones that were open had nothing much going on.

Walking through the hallways I found a poster on a glass binded on the white wall, it was a map of the hospital, showing the locations of each ward and another things. This hospital is no joke, even I found the rooms a little luxorious to my taste.

The map showed a 2 places that caught my attention, the 'recreation' area and the 'green area', the only places that seems to be outdoors of the hospital.

First I went to the recreation area, unlike to what I imagined, it was a room that was inside a building.

The door was all glass, and the front wall too.

The interior was painted in baby blue, the floor was covered with EVA rugs in several different colors. I wasn't sure what time it was, so I looked at the clock ticking inside the room.

It was late afternoon, a few hours untill the night.

At the end of my tour there I came to the conclusion that the recreation room was for kids, as the door was locked it's probably open on specific days and times, like in the morning.

Next I decided to go to the 'green area'.

By the name, I couldn't get an idea of what was there, just that it's nature related.

After 5 minutes of walking through the smooth white corridors I arrived at the floor where the place was.

In a door- Not a door, but an opening in the wall big enough to fit 2 basketball players next to each other. It wasn't very very big, but surely not small.

After the entrance to the open blue sky, it had a stone floor connected to the inside floor like a ramp.

I entered the green area and saw 2 things that I will never be able to forget. I felt butterflies in my stomach and anxiety assaulted me.

Along with the floor, which gave the impression of an old monument, there were also wide rectangular handrails, also made of stone.

The floor and handrails went together untill a large circular stone floor, from then onwards there was a stake, or a suspension, which made the design of the site look like indeed an old monument.

Despite the stone segments, there was a natural lawn, with flowers of different colors and types, next to plant seedlings of small plants, some of them even had fruits on it.

The open-air hall was made in a proportional and squared space. All the four sides where there was an entrance were symmetrical. The usable space was not that big, only 20 to 30 people could fit in there simultaneously.

As it was almost night and the place didn't have a view of the sunset, there were only few people there, most of them already in their rooms or busy doing something.

I was walking towards the middle, where was the circular floor that connected all the 4 entrances to the place. There were some benches at the edges.

It was easily noticeable that the people who were there were mostly elderly, with short white hair and dehydrated skin, some even without hair.

I was enjoying the design of the place. In a corner where several people were talking, most of them elderly, something caught my attention.

A little beside them, on a green and practically empty park bench, was a young looking girl.

She looked my age, maybe she was a little older as looks can be deceiving, but she sure looked my age, she couldn't be younger than me.

A nurse was talking to her, blocking most my view. I could just see her face but I wasn't close enough to tell the color of her eyes or hair.

She was smiling, it looked genuine and a little innocent, but I could see through her, even if just a little bit, she wasn't really happy, maybe she is worried?

I don't know why I'm caring about someone I don't know, but it must be because her face is beautiful, very beautiful. Not like those girls with hot body but with an normal face.

The nurse excused herself, or so I assumed. Now I had an almost complete view of her, of her features.
