The Awakening of the Character Creation

Cho Yun sits on the bench on the park. Feeling miserable on himself. His hair is unkempt, and he looks like a homeless person due to his outfit.

He can't really help it. He lost the motivation to live at all. How can he find the motivation when a lot of problems kept piling up on him?

It felt like the world itself is crushing him...

He is a low income construction worker. He is fine with that, because he only wanted to have a stable life.

Though, is it because he only graduated at high school?

His boss kept putting more work to him. Even his seniors are throwing their own work at him just because he doesn't know any better. He would like to argue, but he can't because this is the only job that he can do.

No decent company would actually hire someone like him. He has a low educational attainment, and his background is very uninteresting. He can only swallow all his pride and do this kind of work for all of his life.

He tries to do his best, enduring all the exploitations, though in the end his body can't keep up. He collapsed during his work, and he was put in the hospital.

When he wakes up, he just learned that he was fired from his job. The Xiandong Emergency Hospital doesn't even care about his financial crisis as they heartlessly asked for the payment for treating him.

He didn't even ask for it. Why are they trying to get money from him?

In the end, he was thrown away from the hospital after a month. His body is relatively healthy at that time, but his mind and soul are heavily damaged.

He felt so stupid. Tenacity and perseverance won't let him survive in this kind of world. He also needs the talent, the background, and connections to become successful. He will only be bullied by the others if he stays like this.

Now he has a debt from the hospital. It's even a lifetime debt that he can't pay, and the interest increases every month. Just by hearing that, anyone can sue that hospital to death. Though he didn't have any connection or money to even make it possible.

He will sooner become homeless. What else can he do?

The only thing he have on his name are his things. He only rents on an apartment, and he can't really keep paying his rent without a source of income. He has a short amount of time before he fell to absolute poverty.

"Everything is over now..."

He don't know what he will do next. He only needs to think about himself. He has no family left, he don't know who are his relatives as no one even introduces themselves as a part of his family. He has no friends that he can call for help. He didn't have any pets or even a girlfriend.

There is nothing for him in this world. Only himself.

He stayed in this bench. Contemplating his own life when...

His eyes widened at that in surprise.

"Character.... Creation...?"

He is dumbfounded about this. He tried blinking his eyes, and then rubbing it for a moment with his hand. When he saw that it is still there staying in front of his eyes, he can't help but exclaim.

"What.... am I not really hallucinating!?" He exclaims in wonder.

As if the disembodied game-like panel doesn't care about him, it just continues on changing it's display and showing another set of words for him. His eyes narrowed for a bit, reading it carefully.

[As someone who has just acquired this ability, this System will give you a tutorial.]

[The most important thing to know first is that you can operate the System through your mind or your will.]

[To test that, just think of wanting to see your status, or the basic menu for this System.]

When he tries thinking about it, a new popup occurs.

His eyes glances at the panel in confusion, not knowing what all of these means.

[This is your main status. Let me explain to you about each of these status.]

[Character Points (CP) is the most important currency that you have. Using this will make it possible for you to create "Characters". You can create any types of "Character" so long as you have enough CP for it.]

[Talent Points or Trait Points (TP) is needed for the characters that you created. You can use this during the Character Creation sequence, or after the character is created. TP can give Talents or Traits for your created Character. Every talents have their corresponding TP cost.]

[Upgrade Points (UP) is for upgrading the existing traits or talents of the character you created. Each upgrade for traits or talents have their own corresponding costs, and the UP Cost will just get more expensive the more you upgrade it.]

[As you are just starting, you will be given a starting bonus of 1 points for your three system currencies (CP), (TP), & (UP).]

[While CP can be acquired through income alone, TP and UP can be acquired through your character's actions. So long as they did something beneficial to their character, traits, or their talent, you will acquire TP and UP.]

[That is all for the tutorial for now.]

After that long explanation, he finally decided to look at his status with a bubbling feeling of hope deep within his heart.

His eyes widened at that. Surprised at the generosity of the System.

".... If I'm not just being crazy and all of this is true... then...!" His eyes slowly lit up with hope. "I will try it! I'll try and see if this is the one that will let me change my life!"

He clenches his fist. Feeling both nervous and excited as his gaze locks on to the floating panel displaying his status in front of his eyes.
