1 Chapter 1 - After Earth

11 more hours before the "Sleep", all of the passengers are talking to their families and friends. Saying their goodbyes, and planning how they will meet inside the game. Even if the ship have enough supplies to sustain millions of people inside the Mother, it will not be enough. So even before the humans set their foot in this humongous ship, it has been strategize few decades ago that they will all go to sleep to preserve everything that they have just in case, and to survive the trip. Their destination is STAR713AK-T or what they call the New Earth.

The Mother is a gigantic spaceship, considered to have a size of a small county in America. It has enough density to carry more than 5 million passengers. Though the water and oxygen is only limited base on their calculated trip to the New Earth. One of the reason they rely on Cryo Tech to preserve what they have.

The Mother is divided between 7 parts. First is the "The Command Center", located at the top front of the ship. They have thousands of employee personals from technical engineering, support group, maintenance division, steering, etc. The supreme commander of the fleet, is of course Laith Monsurr. President of HH (Humanity's Hope). 53 year old, third-generation business man, aristocrat, economical figure and so on. Some people even worship him as the new God. But in every conference they held he always pertain himself to be just a man, a regular human that has an ambition to survive the upcoming "Big End". The first phase was a success. Second phase is being commence and that would be the trip to the New Earth.

This man is a hero. His legacy will always pass down to millions of humans inside the ship. His family fought in maintaining world peace. They stopped all of the wars way back in Earth. They merged and unify all of the country's economic and territorial affairs, and awaken every one of the upcoming catastrophe. The Laith family also struggles a lot from financial standpoint, resources and materials. But after some chain calamity arose that have been proven to be connected to the prediction, all of the huge leaders around the globe is now getting the big picture. "The end of the World". Thus they step aside their egos and began their contributes in building The Mother.

Hence the second part of the Mother is called "The Head", also located at the top of the ship. No more government, no more politics, no more Earth. There is nothing to fight for. The humans relied on their country leaders, thus Monarchs are once again established. Kings and queens, princes and princesses, royal guards and royal advisors. Even inside the ship, monarchy still exist, for the sake of their people, for the sake of their races. They are implementing peace. Race discrimination is not tolerable and punishable by death. Every monarchs have their own spaces inside "The Head", and it's heavily guarded.

Third, fourth and fifth part would be the Upper, Middle, and Lower class. //Author's Note: Do you get the Idea now? Yes. // Millions of passengers are divided between their past social statuses way back in Earth. This is also to maintain orders inside the ship.

Sixth and seventh would before for the Cargo and Resources. Preserved animals, plants and other living organisms reside in these spaces. So those people living around the lower class, they can smell the stench even in their cabins.

Mano, despite the annoying chant he was hearing, echoing through-out the deck, continues to read a historical book. The noise subsided. After few minutes he heard a familiar movie line and glance where it was coming from. He then sees a family connecting to the FREE-LiFi on the deck. Internet still function, all of the massive information from Earth can still be used inside the ship. Popular websites such as EU-tube and giggle is still being use. He bit his lip, then he change his glance to one of the guard standing and observing around the deck, and the guard actually stared back. He hurried his eyes back where he was reading, as he think how awkward that sh*t was.

Then suddenly, a beautiful girl sit beside him. She laid her head on the table in an awkward angle.

"Hello. Are you alone too?" - A question coming from the girl.

Mano: ".... Ye-yes?" - He started to look at this young girl. Around 5`3 tall with an Asian feature. Thin physique with the long black hair. Wearing a silk kimono-like dress with a huge ribbon in her back waist. He glance and was mesmerized to this beauty in front of him.

"My name is Emi! Yours?" - She ask with a cute smile.

Mano: "... Mark... You can call me Mark."

Emi: "Nice to meet you Mark. I'm here to ask your opinion what would be like inside the Everheim? Me and my friends are thinking of ways on how will be playing the game. Maybe you could give us your thoughts?"

Mano: "Ah, yes. Have you played an VRMMORPG before?"

Emi: "A bit."

Mano: "No one knows."

Emi: "Uhmm, ehh?"

Mano: "You see, they are advertising the game for 2 decades now. But they didn't further explain about character options, gameplay, monsters and bosses. The only hint that we know is that it's an open world." - And he added. "There are lots of topics I've read on multiple forums, blueddit, and 4chun that it would be territorial warfare. We will be bombarded with tons of quest inside the game, monster hunts and strategic dungeon runs."

Emi: "Ohh I see! Thank you for being informative!"

Mano: "No big deal. That is all I know."

Emi: "No you don't, I know you." - With a smile on her face. He told Mano.

Mano: "... Huhh?"

Emi: "Mark Norriel Poe, IGN: Mano. Also called The Houdini. Also comes with other aliases such as The Illusionist, Eskapo, and No Way Baybay. An international underground beta tester that earns money by playing online games. That's not all, you sell information to other competitive gaming companies and you were caught. You were sentenced of 108 years to "OFFLINE" and was given the punishment not to use the Internet, or either go online with any networking devices. "

Mano: *SHOCKED* His eyes were wide open. "How?!"

Emi: "Well, that's all I know for now, and we don't care. We could put you to use. And don't worry no one knows about you and we will keep your past a secret. We are living in a free world now, we don't even have a world to live in yet. Hehe." - She said with a smirk. She grab Mano's hand and handed out a little book under the table. "Here, take this."

Mano: *Received a pamphlet.* "What is this?!" - Mano opened the mini-book and saw bunched of codes and walkthroughs.

Emi: "We call it cheat codes, it might be useful for you inside the game. You have more than 10 hours to memorize it in secret. After you are done, burn it. Don't let other people know."

Mano: "Where did you get this?! Who are you?! Why are you doing this?!"

Emi: "Shhhhhhhhhh they might here you. Don't start a ruckus here or they might throw you off the ship if they find out about "that"." -She said while maintaining her smile. "Consider this as an opportunity for you to start your life over." -She followed.

Mano: "This is too much. Why me?" - He ask in uncertain voice. Mano is still shock and confuse.

Emi: "You will know soon after you have read that pamphlet. We will meet again, inside the game."

Afterward, multiple guards in a classy formation walked in front of Emi as she walks out. She slowly walk with her guards going towards the Staff-Only elevator. The people inside the deck are staring at her beauty as if a coronation is about to be fulfilled. The elevator door is about to close, she stares at Mano. For Mano, he will always thought about this memorable scene. Everything that will happen onward begins here. A princess visited him, and gave him a pamphlet of cheats.

As the elevator door was like 4 inch away of closing, Mano's eyes are laser-focus onto the Princess smile. In Mano's mind, everything was in slow motion, just like in the movies. This is the longest 2 seconds of his life, massive information and ideas flashing in his mind. While still staring at the princess, her smile is being covered by a dark silhouette as the elevator door is about to shut and he thought to himself, sh*t is about to get real.
