4 Chapter 4: Happiness

The bell rang and the people in the cafe started to leave. Like all, I and Jaden head to our next class. All went as normal. He stills sits beside me and the girls in the class, non stop looking at us. I just ignored all that and focused on the class. It's 5 in the evening when my classes all finished. Like usual I started to walk to my working place. But a hand stopped me and asked me where I'm heading to. When I turned the familiar face was there. Yeah, it's Jaden again. I answered him "Where else? Of course to my house." I didn't tell him that I'm going to my workplace because now only I know him. I simply cannot trust anyone even though he was nice to me and he was not like other people in the University. "Do you want me to drop you? I can since I brought my own car to the school" he asked. I opened my eyes wide and looked at him. For a moment I didn't talk until he called my name. Then I told him that I'm going to my workplace for my part-time job. He looked at me and said "It's okay. I'll drop you." Without hesitating I refused his offer. I walked away from him without looking back.

I took out my phone and earphone. One of the things I love most in this world is music. So whenever I got the chance to listen to it, I won't let it go. So, I put my earphones on and listen to the songs while walking to my workplace. I'm working at a coffee shop. It only takes 30 minutes from my University to reach my workplace. While walking I felt that someone is following me. So I looked back and no one was there. I thought it's nothing and continued walking. Even though I made sure that no one is following me, I still felt that someone is behind me. So I started to walk fast. Once I reach my workplace, I looked back again but no one was there. With confusion in my mind, I started my work there. Since it's the starting of December lots of people will come to the cafe for hot and delicious coffee. My work in the shop is a cashier. So, I really remember the regular customer's faces. But I spotted a new figure was sitting at the end of the shop. He ordered Iced Americano and his voice wasn't familiar to me and he paid with a platinum credit card. I thought maybe he is a new person in this area and continued my work.

My shift ended at 10 and I headed to my house. I always take a bus to my house. As usual, my day ended the same. When I was on my bed, I can't stop thinking about Jaden. I don't know why but I kept thinking about him since he acted nice to me and most surprisingly he offered to drop me. I didn't regret that I refused his offer earlier but I did feel happy because finally there is a person who remembers me and care about me. Before sleeping I usually will write in my diary about my day and today is the day I wrote something new in my diary. Yeah, I wrote about JK in my diary. I wrote about how nice he was to me and how willingly he offered to drop me. I just realized that he is the first guy who spoke to me since I joined the University and yeah, he is my first friend. I hoped that I can meet him tomorrow and spend time with him. With that thought, I finished writing in my diary and prepared my bed to sleep. I hope that I can see him in my dreams. I know that I'm being cheesy right now but am I starting to like him? If no means why I cannot stop thinking about him. While closing my eyes I listen to songs and starting to feel drowsy.
