93 Chapter 92: Meanwhile the allies...
At the Shinomiya residence, a man looked at some documents while he smoked a cigarette.
This man was Gan'an Shinomiya, patriarch of the Shinomiya family and father of Kaguya Shinomiya.
What the man was looking at was documents that recorded the activities of the alliance formed by Satou.
The Gentlemen's Club had already found out about Satou's alliance with the Ichijo family, Tachibana, Shinomiya, and the Kengan Association, so they began to make efforts to separate this group as this alliance was capable of threatening the political power of the Gentlemen's Club.
The Shinomiya family was a business giant and controlled much of the foreign imports necessary for the development of Japan such as components for the manufacture of household appliances, canned food, raw materials for construction, and the support systems necessary for the construction of earthquake-resistant buildings.
The influence of the Shinomiya family was such that if they were to disappear, Japan's economy would collapse in less than a day. It was because of this that even the Gentlemen's Club did not dare to attack them directly even though this family lacked supernatural resources.
The Ichijo family controlled the city's yakuza and had influence in the mafia all over Japan, there were even rumors that the Ichijo patriarch had close ties to the leaders of powerful foreign mafias.
The Kengan Association was a conglomerate with business partners who controlled 90% of Japan's real estate.
Although this group had more money than the Shinomiya family, this group had several voices so they were not totally unified, there were even some businessmen who used to do business with the Gentlemen's Club behind the back of Metsudo Katahara, the head of the Kengan Association. Of course, that was finished with the help of the yakuza.
The Tachibana family was the weakest in economic aspects within this alliance, but in political matters, this family was the gateway for the alliance to have a voice within the congress.
This family had prestige and contacts but lacked financial and supernatural resources so they did not hesitate to join the alliance.
While the Gentlemen's Club also tried to recruit the Tachibana family, the matriarch was unwilling to trust them, not because that club was full of perverts and demons, but because they were a group of hedonists who would only lead the Tachibana family to bankruptcy as they had done with other families that had joined them.
In reality, the Gentlemen's Club would have gone bankrupt years ago if it wasn't for Satou's pocket since the money they spent on each weekly orgy was enough to feed a third-world community for decades.
Each group in the alliance was individually strong, but they lacked an indispensable resource, supernatural resources.
While it is possible to purchase otherworldly items with mundane money, the Gentlemen's Club has been influencing Japan's laws to limit resources to prevent other factions from gaining strength.
Those groups that were not corrupted by the Gentlemen's Club were oppressed or directly destroyed, such was the case of the Taimanin Village, the only ninja village where the leaders did not give in to the Gentlemen's Club bribes.
Due to this restriction of resources, Satou's arrival was able to unite these groups because although Satou's money was impressive, the most valuable thing about the fat man was his ability to provide supernatural artifacts to his allies.
Every item Enma created was of the highest quality, even the junk items that were single-use were much more valuable than the items displayed in The Auction.
Gan'an had initially made an alliance with Satou with the idea of abandoning him when he was no longer useful to him, but now he had rethought his ideas.
For starters, there was Satou's military.
With Patriarch Ichijo's contacts, it was possible to create a smuggling line to import magic materials from foreign territory, then those materials were used for Satou's alchemists to produce more artifacts and low-quality artifacts were sold to The Auction making the prestige of the alliance grew.
What was most striking about these smuggling missions was the strength shown by Satou's Shadow Squad, a group of elite agents with special abilities that are not obstructed by the Laws of the World.
While most ninjas can use special abilities without being limited by the Laws, the Shadow Squad was able to easily destroy any ninjas and demons that tried to interfere with the transfer of resources.
The Shadow Squad led by Asagi showed an efficiency superior to any human group which was surprising since in this world only humans can fully exercise their supernatural powers without being suppressed by the Laws.
Although Satou's subordinates were strong, his allies weren't worried about betrayal since they had understood something essential about the fat man, he didn't care about prestige and authority, and that man just wanted to drown in pleasures while leading a carefree life.
While everyone thought that Satou was a degenerate who thought with his dick, this helped keep his allies from plotting against him.
This is why Gan'an was worried now. The reaction shown by Satou before going to prison showed that the fat man was not a complete carefree pervert, he could also have a hot temper and if things were not handled correctly, it was possible for Satou to leave the alliance causing the supernatural resources to be lost.
With this, Gan'an got an idea from a phone call he received a couple of hours ago.
Gakuho Asano, the vice-principal of the academy, contacted the patriarch Shinomiya by phone to try to create a political alliance through a marriage between the teenage sons.
Patriarch Shinomiya's response was simple, this was a matter for the children to resolve.
Gakuho's son was to show the necessary skill to seduce Kaguya while the adults would not intervene, but in case the son failed, Gakuho was to give monetary compensation to the Shinomiya family for wasting their time.
The Gentlemen's Club thought that the alliance between Satou and the Shinomiya family was entirely commercial so they supported Gakuho in this plan, even starting to devise ways to recruit the Ichijo and Tachibana families through political marriages.
Patriarch Shinomiya reported this to his fellow alliance members so the alliance leaders made preparations to accept these bets.
The leaders of the Gentlemen's Club were famous for being gamblers unable to refuse a flashy bet, so the love life of teenagers became a game with great rewards.
The truth is that Satou's allies found this amusing since Kaguya was not only Satou's property, the fat man had completely broken the red-eyed girl into his loyal plaything, at least Satou's allies thought so.
Because of this, they knew that every woman who fell into Satou's hands was a woman who would not abandon the fat man, so this bet was already fixed.
The Gentlemen's Club members also knew of Satou's terrifying sexual abilities, but they didn't consider the possibility of important families' daughters being given to the fat man as it would damage the families' reputations.
Patriarch Shinomiya spoke with the members of the alliance and they came to a conclusion, that those female heirs should be betrothed to members of the alliance to lessen the possibility of future betrayals.
Kaguya Shinomiya from the Shinomiya family was already owned by Satou so she could be discarded.
Marika Tachibana of the Tachibana family was in negotiations to be engaged to a foreign family, there was also the option of marrying her to the heir of the Ichijo family, but Gan'an offered another option to the Tachibana matriarch.
Just as Kaguya was Satou's property, Marika could be as well which would also serve as compensation to Satou for making him go to prison.
The Tachibana matriarch did not have the slightest interest in her daughter's feelings and only cared about the well-being of the Tachibana family, so she accepted the idea, and regardless of her husband's objections, she began to make preparations to turn her daughter into a gift of friendship for the fat capitalist.
Sayaka Katahara was the daughter of Metsudo Katahara, president of the Kengan Association, and the only female of legal age among the alliance's daughters.
Unlike Gan'an, Metsudo had a subtle paternal affection for his daughter, but his love for the Kengan Association outweighed his paternal feelings so he also agreed to betroth his daughter to Satou, on the condition that he maintain contact with his daughter to make sure she was fine and not mistreated.
Thus the lives of two women and a fat man were decided without asking them what they thought.
On the other hand, the leaders thought that Satou was a pedophile so they were worried that the fat man might reject Sayaka who was already an adult woman so Metsudo thought of later talking to the fat man to negotiate about giving away some elementary school girls as compensation.
Lastly, there was the Ichijo family.
Every major group had a male heir who could take control of each family when the current generation of leaders passed away, so they didn't mind handing over the women to Satou.
Even the Tachibana family had secret heirs in case the current heiress was killed or used in a political marriage.
This was not the case with the Ichijo family, the patriarch had only one son and after the death of his wife, he had no other mistresses besides he had no siblings so there were no nieces that could be given to Satou.
Patriarch Ichijo was worried that due to various misunderstandings, the members of the alliance thought that Satou's discomfort could only be calmed if he could possess the women of each important family, something like a display of dominance and power.
What bothered the leaders the most was that they had contacted Satou's secret daughter in an attempt to fix the misunderstanding, they had the idea that if Satou could strengthen his relationship with his daughter then his anger would decrease.
This backfired because they were unaware that Satou's daughter only held contempt for the fat man and instead of a heartwarming family reunion, the situation turned into an emotional wound for Satou.
On the other hand, Satou misunderstood the situation as an effort by his allies to steal his property, but the truth is that this was because the daughter did not want to talk to Satou so she did not explain the talk she had with the patriarch Shinomiya.
Gan'an realized this mistake only when Satou was in prison so now the group was looking for solutions to fix the misunderstandings.
The problem is that the group still thought that Satou was a sexual degenerate who saw women as objects, and although it was obvious that Satou was affectionate with the women of his mansion, they thought that this was because Satou treated those women like pets who received favoritism.
This misunderstanding was justified as it was Satou who started the Gentlemen's Club and although he is now against that group, this is because the Club turned its back on him so his allies see Satou as the same type of person who is part of that club.
Thus Satou's life was decided by his allies without him and the women involved knowing about it.

I don't have an excuse, the truth is that I have completely focused on my other novel as I enjoy writing about random things while in this novel I have to spend hours researching about the topics I write about.
