Chapter Two

"Kore" he called out my name, in a quiet whisper to my ear deep enough to perforate the ground below us and I was now very conscious of what and who was around me.

I could sense the warmth of the sunlight on my face, I could feel the noise of the humid grass right outside my house as the wind blew them against the white cemented walls.

His hand reached out for mine and in that moment that's when our two planets collided together to make the brightest of stars in the galaxy, our fingertips touched and stars danced all around the planets.

His voice reminded me of how sad I had been in those few years, my sadness had became the worst and uncontrollable parts of me.

"I'm okay" I slowly whispered as I opened my eyes and my eyelids felt heavy to lift like they were still soaked in dreams.

His hands held my fragile body and my bare chest was visible through the delicate expensive satin I wore over my bare sweaty cold body.

"Really believe me Hades, I've never felt this better after a nightmare" I stood up and inside my head everything started to shake, I felt like I had constantly been in a rollercoaster of dizziness.

"Could you please leave my room Hades?" I said while looking at him dead inside, every bone of my body felt weak but I needed to endure the pain I was feeling at that moment.

"Alright, Kore" He said standing up from my side of the bed and letting go of my hand, he left my room as quietly as possible.

I felt it, it was Sonder.

I quickly got out of my bed the satin sheets brushed against my skin and I headed over to the bathroom, undressing myself of my undergarments.

I went straight into the shower, turned the water to dead cold and took a deep breathe in before letting it run down my skin, I burnt every inch of my skin with the ice cold water that flowed against my waterproof skin.

I started to silently cry, the water became so cold that for a moment I though of giving up on my daily torture but I couldn't let go, I let it run down my naked body, colder than ever.

Thinking that all the pain needed to be more that enough.

I just wanted him to feel okay because I knew his lover would never love me as I loved him in no matter how many nights from there, I had to wish him enough love to complete the love that his lover couldn't give, I was wishing I could have just told him how I prayed every night to Nyx for her to put me to sleep and make me forget everything, to make me forget all the unrequited love that was devouring my soul.

"I just needed some love" I said softly.

Nobody would care enough to notice because nobody cared enough to check up on me.

I went downstairs wearing my big hoodie with my shorts that hid underneath it's length.

"Hey Kore!" She smiled at me, her and her unpleasant smile, she's was still mesmerisingly beautiful.

"Hey, Athena" I glared at her for a few seconds and faked a smile as she peacefully laid in Hades' arms.

"Morning!" She smiled at me and between her fragile arms she held an owl, it eyes were closed and it seemed to be resting peacefully.

I took a step forward towards Athena and it's eyes open as wide as the night and as our eyes met the unbothered creature nonchalantly looked away as it didn't sense no evil approaching.

"I feel like even Glaukes is trying to tell me how worthless I am, he fears me not" I said as I looked straight into her eyes and faked another smile, I then looked over just to see a different but familiar face, that I clearly didn't recognise.

The guy just sat there, very calmly, he looked at me with lust in his eyes and for a second I just wanted to disappear, he looked down at my naked legs and he glared right back into my eyes; his face was symmetrically perfect his hair was long and blonde as the sunrise and it fell nearly covering his eyes.

"Kore I made some pancakes" the voice of Hades woke me up, but I couldn't stop looking into his eyes, he bit in the red apple he held in his beautiful right hand.

"Thank you Hades you really didn't have to" I tried to look over at Hades standing in the kitchen but then my eyes quickly looked back at the guy with the messy curly blonde hair sitting down and felt myself blushing.

"Are you okay?" Hades called for my attention, from the kitchen straight to the hall.

"Totally, just give me one second!" I screamed as his stare became more annoying although after that he didn't even say a word.

I headed straight to the kitchen.

"Hades I really appreciate the fact that you made breakfast and I'm sorry for taking so long" I said once I stood in front of him and breathed heavily, my heart was beating pretty fast but not like when she was with Hades.

"Hades told me what happened today" Athena said standing next to Hades.

"Well he can't just shut up sometimes" my mood quickly changed and I grabbed my plate that had the pancakes and carried it along with me as I headed to the living room.

"It was just a stupid nightmare there's no need to act like you care, maybe your pet already told you as soon as our eyes met" I laughed it off when deep inside I was hurt why would she want to remind me, did she wanted to confirm the fact that I nearly tried to end my life in my sleep even when she already saw it in my eyes?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"I honestly couldn't care less Athena," I interrupted her, I felt the desire to send her out of my house to another dimension for not minding her own business, but she was Hades' nephew so I couldn't.

I turned around and our eyes met.

"Did I hurt her feelings?" I looked at Athena's hurt expression as she asked Hades.

He turned to me, his eyes had the pits of hell in them as he gave me that look that I obviously couldn't read, his black dark bluish hair sat calmly on his forehead.

"Athena listen" I called her, she walked towards me and instinctively grabbed my hands into hers.

"You'd never hurt me" I muttered as she hugged me tightly; I could smell other mortals blood on her and I could hear their screams on her shoulder, they screamed right into my right ear.

"I'm going upstairs don't bother calling me I might sleep till tomorrow" I slightly pushed her off me I was scared I could feel my hands shaking but I had to leave quickly, I smiled at her and landed a kiss on her cheek and sprinted outside.
