17 CH 17: A dance in the wind

I have been studying the book that the healer gave me. It teaches about using the physical elements of the realms to heal yourself, and others. Combining them in various ways can cause different effects.

There are ways to repair damages quicker then normal. As well as many other healing practices.

By learning from the healers book, and combining his teachings on moderation. I was able to adjust my area of sense to a accommodate my needs. I keep it to about 1 miles radius.

This way I get less alerts, and I can deal with them easier. If need be I can expand it back to 25 kilometers to gain a hunting patern.

He teaches that moderation of consumption. Can allow you to grow at a regulated pace. It promotes the healthiest form of growth one can practice.

He says that to fortify the core. One should consume more of the things the realm has to offer. You should not rely on cosmic energies alone to keep yourself going.

Cosmic energies are consumed just by being alive in the Celestial realms. Realm based energy comes from the physical properties of the realm.

These energies are what solidifies your existence. It gives your cosmic properties a place to take hold. As cosmic beings, we need more cosmic energy.

However, since the material realm has existed. We have gained more physical properties. We Celestials, are beings that are made up of the fibers that create realms.

So therefore, whenever a new realm appears. Which is when The King creates a new realm. We gain properties of these realms.

This is what allows us to gain access to them. We can exist eternally with in the Celestial realm. Though we can not exist in the other realms for too long. Our nature is with in our general realm.

All beings are returned to our realm. Which is where they begin, but not all beings have to same existence here. Those that are not from our realm can only exist here if The King removes the barrier that separates the realms.

I read something similar in The King's book before. It had to do with incarnation, and reincarnation. It explained it as the rules of "Life and Death." I wasnt too fond of that chapter.

It taught me that incarnation is the first birth of a being. Reincarnation is each birth after that one. Sometime things are redesigned during reincarnations.

By this time I have expanded the use of my spatial control. I can remain in stasis for days at a time now. When I come back to normal time. Things haven't moved forward to much at all.

I learned that the place I go to when I'm in stasis is called the "abyss." I was taught this by Mikhail when I explained spatial control. He said the abyss is a place that exist between realms.

I think that The King is somewhere in the abyss. When I go there I cam see things happening sometimes that have yet to happen. That only started when I learned to stay with in it's area for more then 2 hours.

It was only a few minutes of time that I could see happen. Even so, when I returned myself to normal time. These things had yet to happen here.

The King must have an enormous amount of mental stability to remain there. Just in my short time in the abyss. I have a hard time grasping everything when I come back. I also have to remain aware of myself in relativity to both places.

That's the tricky part of it. Remembering at all times that I exist in two different times at the same time. All while sustaining control over what time is in both times.

I'm working on a way to leave an after image that can talk in my place. While I search time to see what will happen next. That's hard because I'm still learning how to think in both times simultaneously.

I don't have too much of a philosophy on spatial control just yet. When I do, i will present my philosophy to Mikhail. Hopefully he likes it enough to take it in front of his Father.

All of a sudden I heard the horn of a war party.

Did a war just break out at the gate again? I wonder what started this one? Maybe I should participate to see how the Angels are fighting now a days.

Since I have been getting better with spatial control, and area of sense. I have developed a new technique I call "Sense of Dominance." This new ability is the combination of the two.

It makes my area of sense closer to about 3 kilometers in radius. While allowing me to stop time of all things in the my area. It also allows me to pull things into the abyss with me.

When I do they are frozen in time, because it doesnt completely pull them in. It brings them to the barrier of the realm. There, on the line of realities. I can damage them how I like. For about 20 seconds before they catch up to time where we are at that moment.

With in that 20 seconds I can do enough damage to replace you in the normal state of time. Since you wouldn't be up to speed in that gap. Your body remains the same way it came it that space.

When I place you back in normal time. All the damage I have done to you. Plays itself out in 20 seconds.

I used spatial control to take myself to the battlefield. When I got there I could see the scene of a massive battle about to start. They were already charging each other, and some were even fighting already.

I decided to analyze the battlefield a bit. I could see the entire thing about to play out. In the middle two Devils were about to lose to an Angel. He is a monk, but he is talented in hand to hand combat. In the next few seconds he is going to kick one hard enough to crush its innards.

The other one is going to suffer a head loss from a kick. Then a few yards back from their fight. I can see an Angel is about to learn why you don't take you eye off of the enemy.

He is looking at the female Angel to his left. I dont know why he is worried about her. She is about to decapitate at least three Devils with one swing. With such a graceful blow at that.

On the other side of the battlefield near the gate itself. I saw an Archangel getting ready to send an order to the archers. I feel bad for the Devils farther away from the actual fight. Those arrows are going to pierce right threw them.

I went over to the area next to the Archangels group. There is another female Angel out here by his side. She is damn good with that bow she has. I'm not sure I have seen anyone shoot 30 arrows from a bow at one time.

All but two will be direct hits, but it looks like she will fire a second volley. Extremely fast reloading technique she has.

"Now who is being a creep?"

The King's voice came to me while walking in the abyss.

"So you are somewhere here in the abyss! Here I go trying not to be seen anywhere, and you pop up from nowhere with your creepy ass!" I shouted back.

I had to give the old man some grief, it's how we function as friends. With that being said He returned the favor.

I was forced out of stasis while being in the mix of battle. Everyone around me jumped back, and readied themselves.

I really should stop testing The King, but He always test me. Besides I get a kick out of His responses. They always help me grow somehow.

I prepared myself for battle as well. I'm not sure how the Angels whom have never seen me before will react. That plus I kind of appeared out of nowhere just now...

I went straight to attack a group of Devils that was close by. This was a good time to get actual experience with sense of dominance. I took of two heads simultaneously to begin my barrage. I did so in real time to let them see my lowest speed to fight in.

Then I put some pep behind my speed. Accelerating to a speed that matched the speed of light. This is my highest normal speed burst.

I dissected the largest remaining Devil in their group. It was done before the dissection could be seen. By the time all it's parts separated. I was three limbs deep on another Devil. Working my way to a third.

When the limbs of the first one finally fell. I had removed their entire group from the battlefield. The Angels that were close enough to see ot first hand were in awe.

Then I headed to the group of Devils that was behind them. This group only had teo Devils in total. There will be my test subjects.

As I brushed past the group of Angels I called out my new abilities name.

"Sense of Dominance release!"

Now time is mine on this battlefield.

I activated the ability with no problem. Good, now to take one of the two in. I grabbed the one on the left. Just as the smaller creatures that I hunt. It came into a pocket of space, and time. One that sits on the barrier of the realms.

I gave him 1000 slashes of my dagger. Then placed it back on the normal side of the pocket. It only took about seven seconds time for me to slash it. So I grabbed the other one, and used the same pocket.

This time I removed its head. Then gave just the head 1000 slashes. Afterwards i placed it back as well.

I then stepped over to the Angel's. I had 3 seconds remaining before the pocket closed. When it does, all things done will take place with in 20 seconds time.

I can out of my ability standing next to the Angels. They had confusion written all over their faces. That's probably because I was just facing the other way. Then instantly faced the front of them walking calm.

"Turn around and see what I have done if you're confused to what's going on." I said continuing to walk away.

By the time the started to look back. The Devils both let out a cry. They must have become aware of their fate just then. When they finished turning around, the left one exploded I pieces. While the right ones head did the same.

When it's body fell to the ground. They turned to look at me, but I was already gone.

I used spatial control to place myself near the Archangel. He was having some trouble with a group of Devils. The female he was with has distanced herself from him. She is still just as sharp from that distance.

I can out of spatial control, and was in front of the Archangel. I startled him a bit, and he guarded himself.

"That's no way to treat the man who is about to save your ass."

"You should at least try to keep yourself from being defeated by such weaklings."

I said just as I blocked a blow from the closest Devil.

"You must be the fox demon they speak of. Why have you helped us today? Is there something you seek to gain?"

He responded while taking a blow from another Devil on his side.

"The only thing i seek here today is preservation of The King's law. I know it is a part of that law to allow things to think on their own."

Blocking attacks from two Devils now.

"I just can't sit around, and watch His creations be destroyed. Which is a pain in the ass you know."

"The Devils are His creations as well. I fight them when they get too destructive, and that's it!"

Taking ones head, and an arm of the other other.

"I don't want anything from you, and The King will give me whatever I deserve for my deeds anyway."

"Why the fuck would I be worried about what you can give me?!" I shouted as I parried a spear.

He looked at me with such a baffled expression.

I then threw my shield to his left just in time to intercept a Demonic one. They sometimes join the war party of Devils by force. At other times they join them trying to gain status with the Devil clans.

I looked up to see that the Devils were getting the best of the Angels. I wonder why they only sent this many actual fighters?

Then again no I don't... If The King sent them like this. He must have seen my actions about to play out. This is a test from Him on my abilities. That, and/or He wants the Angels to witness my what I am capable of.

Well then if those are my options to reason with my current situation. Then I have no choice but to show them who I am.

I think I just thought up with a new fighting style. I will call this my "Dance in the wind," and I will use graceful attacks. That female Angel gave me that idea.

Not like I didnt know how to be graceful in battle. I just never seen it so fluidly done like she has. If she can sing in the air with her bow. I can dance in the wind with my blade.
