1 Excerpt:

A dark shadow appeared from the narrow gaps of her sight.

Beyond the distant consciousness, she felt someone's warm hand touching her cheek.

In a moment of distraction, she uttered the name of the man that had briefly appeared in her dream.

"Talon…"

The hand that was on her cheek suddenly stopped. It was then that the last trace of sleep had been ruthlessly wrenched from her.

She was now fully awake.

"...Talon?" a low, dangerous voice whispered into the void. "Sweetling, should I be curious why the first thing that came out of your sweet lips is the name of that man."

"It's nothing. I was just mistaken."

A dry laugh was heard; harsh and filled with menace. "So, you can also mistaken me for someone else."

She took a breath and tightly shut her eyes. She didn't want to play this game with him.

But the man couldn't read her thoughts as one of his knees pressed on the bed that she was lying on. The soft mattress compressing under his weight.

Sensing his movements, she reflexively leaned on her back with her elbows pressing on the bed underneath her, supporting her upper body.

"Tell me, Sweetling." The man across from her possessed an otherworldly beauty that could not be simply explained with words. His golden eyes shone like the brightest sun, fiercely burning her.

"Do you desire to leave?" He asked as he gently rubbed her lips.

The man leaned forward to have his face close to her own, he tilted his head until their lips were only half an inch away, his lingering breath touched her lips as though he had just kissed her.

"But I won't let you go."

She felt trapped by him.

She was a bird in a golden gilded cage.

But the thing that differentiates her from a bird is…

She is a willing captive.
