Discussion between best friend

She sighed. It's a heavy one. She still felt guilty about all of what happened. She feels as if it's her responsibility, for causing a man who known as Wake Arcus dying at such a young age. It was truly before his time, it's didn't follow the rules, yet no one was bothered by it. Other gods seemed okay with it. Although she's the new highest goddess that is appointed to be the leader of gods, she is still a bit clumsy about these matters.

"I hope Wake is doing fine in his new life…"

She can't help but worry about him. You can say Wake's her first "client" that she has to guide. He is the first soul that came to Kaname Madoka or better known as Madokami by the masses. This is her first job, her first task. Everyone is being kind to her, although there are some gods and goddesses that a bit rude with her, they didn't hate her due to her nature.

Madoka is Madoka, she's still as shy and girly as she used to be, but not only that she is also kind, but that makes her lovable to anybody that interacted with her. People are always kind and will help her at every turn. But that just makes her a bit feel a bit bad, it feels like she is getting spoiled by them and she tells them just that but their answer?

"We are your fellow gods and co-workers, so we have to help each other. Moreover, we also consider you our friend."

She is grateful for that and didn't feel any negativity from them. They help her quite a bit, like from the things that she didn't understand. She's just happy that they consider her their friend, but really… her first task is quite hard for her.

She's shocked when the former god who filled the position as the gods' leader retired and gave the seat to her. When she asked what's the reason, a smile formed on his mouth and said this to her without turning around to face her.

"You will know it someday. Don't worry about it, time flies without us realizing it."

That's a question she will find the answer to in time. She is still a bit confused about that but she just nodded and accepts the offers. With everyone helping, it became a little bit easier. She just hopes that Wake Arcus didn't encounter any danger in his new life, she wanted to prevent any of that, she just wanted to accompany him in his new life and journey.

But sadly, she can't. Poor girl. She just worried about him, it's not wrong, right? After all, she is Kaname Madoka, a girl who in her very nature was kind towards the ones she cared about. Furthermore, it's her responsibility from the start. She can't complain about it openly due to that.

Even if other gods and goddesses decided to give Wake a curse. No, maybe curses would be a better way to term it. Because he was a bit too greedy about his wishes for their tastes, but hey… it's not her fault, to begin with. He was just given five wishes and he used them to the fullest. All of it still according to the laws, to the rules. Her fellow gods knew about it and didn't angry at her. Wonderful.

They also agreed to let Madoka and her best friend give him some blessings. He needed it too. She and Homura didn't want to see Wake Arcus experience a bad and short-lived life again. Although Homura is a devil, she can still give him her blessing. Maybe you can call her the demon goddess of a magical girl. Opposite of Madoka in those aspects.

"What could I do to help him? He's my first task and responsibility."

"There's nothing we can do, Madoka."

She's blinked. Someone's voice interrupts her and makes her turn around, only to see someone she knows quite well. Her best friend before and after she became a magical girl, and later on, a goddess.

She wears a black dress that flares behind her, looking akin to a cape, it's fairly similar to Madoka's Goddess outfit. The top of this dress is a heart-shaped window that shows an inner chest piece of sharp mimic feathers. She has a similarly paired choker, with a bow-and-arrow shaped piece that lays flatly across her chest. Moving down to the bodice portion of the dress, the sides are cut to the point where only the middle portion of her torso is covered, while the rest, including the back, is showing her clear skin. The bottom points outwards to either side, ending as feathers to match her "fallen angel" motif. The inside of the skirt is decorated with a universe, just as Madokami's. She also wears thigh-high socks that are woven in a diamond pattern, like the ones on the stockings she wore as a magical girl. The outfit is complete with black flat shoes with anklet pieces attached, and a pair of gloves that reach her upper arms ending with two strands.

A small smile adorned her beautiful face but it contrasts with her usual stoic expression. The lady is known as Akemi Homura or Homucifer enters the office of Madokami. Of course, the situation caused confusion to brew within the goddess. Because she is a devil, or to be more precise, the one who controls all devils in the universe, while Madokami on the flip-side is the one in charge of gods and goddesses.

She just casually enters Heaven, which should impossible for a devil or any creatures that are impure. Of course, her action causes the alarm of Heaven to ring and alert everyone in Heaven. The guards, or better known as Seraphs, immediately rush to the place that's being threatened, that being Madokami's office.

Without wasting any time, the sound of the door slamming open by a large force is heard through the room. Reviling the Seraphs that have a worried yet serious expressions over their faces of theirs. Madoka of course startled by the suddenness of that, Homura who just now realizes it turns around to see Seraphs that in their battle posture.

"You again! Why are you here, devil?!"

This makes Homura smirk.

"Hooo? I can't visit my old friend?"

"But you're trespasser! More importantly, you come in without prior announcement, as such you have no permission to visit Heaven!"

Homura sighs and shakes her head.

"…really? Okay. I'll do that next time. I won't forget to call ahead to someone in Heaven and ask their permission. Is that okay?"

They nod.

"Yes. We currently not in friendly terms because of thy nature but please, don't do this again. It's bad for Heaven's security."

"Okay."

With that, the Seraphs then excuse themselves and leave the office. Leaving Madoka and Homura's alone in Madokami's office. The pink goddess can only let out a relieved sigh now that all of that ruckus has been solved. She's doesn't want to bother anyone with trouble more then she is forced to.

"Homura-chan, you came in without warning anyone again."

Madoka looks up at Homura, who wears a devil-may-care expression on her face, showing that she holds no remorse for her actions.

"Save it for others, Madoka. I want to talk about something with you."

This makes Madoka blink. Because from the sound of it, seems like some serious business will be the main topic for this 'talk'. She just nods her head in agreement, which allows Homura to takes a seat and look at Madoka while something came out from a thin air.

Again. Homura uses her powers to make something appear out of thin air. Vastly different from the magic they have used back then. This type of magic based on imagination and creation. A power of which only those of the highest of ranks can achieve. Madoka can also use something similar, yet different in its attribute. While Homura's dark her's is light-based.

A file just comes into the world, specifically in Homura's hands. It's about someone they knew quite well if the portrait on the file is anything to go off of. Which causes Madoka to wince a bit while looking at it. Knowing that this is quite urgent Homura immediately speaks what's currently on her mind.

"Madoka, what's the meaning of this? Why did they do something so tainted with idiocy?"

Homura words sound quite scary. She is quite angry as they look at the file she's holding, but she is not pointing her anger to Modoka, considering the lack of killing intent. She doesn't want to cause any more trouble for now. She is just wondering about this matter.

"I'm sorry, Homura-chan. I can't do anything about it. This is the decision they established after saw what he wished for."

"But—I know, maybe what he did is a bit greedy. But they can't do this. It's… selfish. Even if this according to the laws... they can't."

"I know! That's why we gave him our blessings, right? To help him. Theos-sama is already aware of this. Considering he can predict the future it is causing him to prepare anything to back him up. Even Theo-sama gave him blessing as well. He's got like… three blessings, Homura-chan. I think he will be fine."

Madoka raises her voice a bit as her words started flowing out of her mouth. Indeed, she didn't like the decision that was made by the others, but she can't do anything. All of this is already according to his 'Destiny', the newest one that was forged. The 'Book of Destiny' already predicted it.

Her best friend is quiet for a bit after that. She didn't expect that Madoka would raise her voice. Tears can be seen dripping from Modoka's eyes, surprising Homura at the expression Madoka shows. The new goddess is genuinely worried about his safety, huh. She is too, though.

Why? Because he influences them quite a bit. To both of them, to Kaname Madoka and Akemi Homura. Although it's just one time, they felt it important to them that he be safe and happy. Theos, the former leader of gods, already knew this and is just trying to ignore it. Because this is not his responsibility between the three.

Homura knows about Theos too. After they transcended to godhood and devil hood respectively, Theos is the one who welcomed and introduced them to the higher realms. Let's not forget it was he who introduced them to someone who was capable of teaching them about their new jobs and responsibilities.

Although Theos is a bit jerk and lazy bastard, he is kind. He wasn't is known as the former leader of gods and creatures for nothing. After many thousands of years observing the worlds he created, his behavior and personality changed. Before it's just like how everyone envisioned God, so kind and pure to everyone to everyone who saw, but now compared to then, he changed a lot.

He even knows the meaning of sarcasm and any other number of things. Too much influence from humanity made him like that. Developing him to such state, but of course, it's not like every gods and goddess hate it, they're just… surprised. They kind of accepted it without any hesitation.

Indeed, Theos is retired but he always sends a message or even just calls Madoka, one of his favorites, he is practically an overly paranoid father. Madoka wasn't bothered by that, though. She's just happy since she can have a new family and better yet, father figure.

Homura nodded and lets out an understanding sigh.

"Alright. I'm sorry about that, Madoka."

"Hm-hm, no problem. I know that you're worried about him too, we both actually worried."

"Yeah. He's… special to us after all."

Madoka gives her best friend a warm smile and they both nod in agreement.

"Yep. It sounds unfair, but, he's done a lot for us. I am kind of sorry for him to be in that situation."

"He has to experience what it's like to live within a lower realm again. There are so many struggles that he may encounter. I can imagine it even now."

They both smile to each other, both hoping for the best for him.

"From their point of view, it is fair. After all, we are gods, our role is giving the creatures of the lower world a task. A life task for them. We're not supposed to help them, yet I'm giving him help. Too much help in their eyes."

Madoka said that with a sad tone and expression.

"But they ARE agreeing for you to help him, right? I think it's okay, Madoka. Don't think so hard about it."

"Homura-chan…"

"You're not failing anything. Your first task, your first job, I think you doing it well. Cheer up."

It's rare for Homura to smile, usually, she has the frosted expression colder than the Antarctic. But, the smile she has right now, is possibly equal to Madoka's smile. She looks far more beautiful smiling than with that cold persona.

"I think you're right. Let's stay positive and hope he is doing fine out there. I want to look at the 'Book of Destiny' but that would be kind of rude to do again. Maybe I'll observe him from there, without peeking at the book."

"Because it's not good to peek."

Madoka nodded in agreement at what Homura said. Also, because it's not fun to know what's that will happened in the near future. Maybe that's why Theos retired? No? Or maybe he's bored and just too lazy to work. Being a god is such a heavy job after all.

And Madoka knew that pain first hand now.

Homura then opens the file and reads through it again.

"Really… what's causing his life ended so early?"

"Should we ask Theos-sama, Homura-chan?"

Madoka suggested that. A quick way to solve this. Smart or obvious people will realize this option right away. If not, then it's a stupid people who choose the hard way, the hardest than hard. Maybe Heaven & Hell difficulties like in Devil May Cry series.

But of course, Homura nodded.

"You're right. We should. It's an important matter, serious case anyway. It's like an error, a bug. There's no way he suddenly died without knowing the cause."

"It's like a mystery case."

"I'm surprised you knew that, Madoka. But then again, you're not wrong. Can you contact Theos-sama and ask him to meet up? The fast we solve this, the fast we can feel safe about him."

Madoka nodded. She knows very well that this is a serious case. If something happened due to a mistake caused by Heaven and Hell, it could even be caused by the lower world too. They both didn't know how it happened. Especially with him who's currently living down there again.

"I'll contact him."

"Immediately if you can."

"Right. I will do it now."

With that, Madoka's then pulled out a phone and brushes past her contact list. Theos, the one who has the highest chance of knowing the cause of this. He's the most powerful among gods after all, like Zeus but even more. After a bit of fiddling, she finds his name and calls him. His voice filters over the speaker.

"Hello, the Best God and Daddy around the Universe here. Who is this?"
