2 Endless Night 2

"You are right. Last night was for power," Shreya sneered, seemingly having a lot to say for some reason. "My power. But I ask you, what of the other dozen times you gave yourself to my bed? Were those only for power? Did you grow very powerful? I swear, it is only Raina's existence that prevents me from dedicating my past life to obliterating your entire race, you old bat."

"Don't continue listening to his nonsense. He's stalling!" the white-haired old man called out while frowning, his sharp gaze fixed on Lucius.

This Shreya Endless guy kept mentioning some 'past life' in a future tense, it was downright creepy. Although the old man was displeased with Lucius, he was also disinclined to blindly believe the ravings of a lunatic who kept talking about past lives and doing things over.

"You little bastard!" Rasha cursed in fury.

Secretly, Shreya's constant reference to some 'past life' sent chills running up Rasha's spine. She cursed in anger in front of Lucius but could feel her legs trembling if she dared remember the previous night. Despite her fury, Shreya's natural charisma was like a magnet, and she found it hard not to be affected by its pull. Her race had powerful resistance to such coercion, but she remained a moth before a radiant flame.

Impossibly radiant.

Shreya was definitely the epitome of a man. Rasha had to concentrate very hard not to let her mind wander. This man's natural charisma was her natural glamour's nemesis!

Lucius gritted his teeth and shook his head, unwilling to accept any more words. If this madness were true, it would mean the end of his sanity. "What kind of nonsense are you talking about? Shut up already! Nothing can stop you from dying today!"

"Wha...? Oh, come one, old Lu. Don't be in such a rush. I haven't even told you about the times your dad slept with your wife before you two wed...or the times after," Shreya said with a smile that was not a smile.

"What the fuck is this nonsense you're spouting? Shut up, you shit! Nothing can stop you from dying today," Lucius snapped and repeated his sentences, completely unwilling to believe this bastard's words.

"Did you really never notice? That Raina looks way too similar to your old man? Even more similar than yourself," Shreya laughed callously.

Lucius didn't dare believe these words.

Otherwise, he would truly lose his mind for good. Why believe the words of a dead man? If no one knows something, is it still the truth? Lucius decided the answer was no! He didn't notice the shame and sorrow in his wife's eyes - nor the hidden desire that she was desperate to keep from him. He only pressed forward! The glowing formation lights suddenly took shape, forming ten mighty words of blue light. Their sharpness seemed so powerful that it could divide a black hole into two halves.

Lucius smacked his wife's round and soft bottom playfully before he spread his arms wide, laughing like a maniac. "Keep your silly words in the field of reeds! Tonight, I will let you enjoy the sound of my wife's screams from hell!"

Shreya's face was sad as he glanced off towards an empty void. His five opponents were confused, but Shreya simply ignored them all. It felt like he was looking at someone that no one else could see, while this being could perceive them! Did he think someone was reading this like a storybook?

"This is my shameful end," Shreya said sadly. "I have brought this upon myself due to wild passion and hesitation. My strength was a chance occurrence, not a result of any real effort on my part. But still, who can surpass me in this Twilight Boundary? I regret not looking beyond what is right before me, not taking action when I should have, and empowering my enemies with inaction and fear. I have disappointed both my ancestors, higher and lower. Could it be because of my major half's inability to act unless pushed to the limits? Or perhaps it's because of the old wounds of my minor half? Ultimately, maybe it is just because of my habit to let destiny take its course."

Lucius laughed wildly, cutting off Shreya's lamentation with a single swat on his wife's round bottom. "You think you can beat me? I'll show you how true power looks! Keep speaking nonsense in the field of reeds, you arrogant fuck! Tonight, I will let you hear my wife's moans from hell."

"Such pathetic circumstances," Shreya suddenly sighed and seemed to glance off at the reader in the void.

However, no one was there.
This confused his five opponents greatly, but Shreya still ignored them completely, like he was putting on a play. He spoke to this invisible audience directly, with flair.

"No more." Shreya's next words carried a mysterious charm that seemed to exist outside of time and space itself. "Stop."

The spell that Shreya whispered into the air spiked in volume and intensity, its crescendo pulling at every magic thread within the room.

He was as blinded by light as everyone else.

'How powerful...this frequency resonance makes the fusion of different flows so seamless...so this is why my birth father created this evolved world qi. Universal ryms. I wonder what inspired it...'

A glowing halo descended upon them, highlighting speckles on the smooth surface like a hick-hack pattern. He shut his eyes until reality settled back into place. He could feel it again—his gift charged with power. The five enemies in front of him were absolutely horrified when they sensed the temporal fluctuations in the room. They scrambled to their feet and backed away, unable to understand what had just happened. The ethereal eye on Shreya's forehead released a dazzling and terrifying white-gold light.

The five enemies in front of him were absolutely horrified. A soft but majestic melody spread into the air as Shreya whispered a profound curse with his heart. But this curse wasn't designed to harm anyone. Instead, it was made for the sole purpose of saving himself from this tragic fate!

I do not wish for our legacy to end...

Our glory!

A glory that I never knew how to appreciate before Raina...

No, I must let it end.

This will be your beginning.

Become what I could not.

Do what I did not dare to do.

Love who I did not dare to love.

Just please...inherit the way I look at Luna.

Just please...inherit the way Raina makes my heart pump.

Never cower behind your powers, hiding them from the world.

You think it keeps you safe, but it only dims your light!

Trouble will always follow you regardless.

Never allow another man to take what is yours.

Most importantly... never give up on your friends.

Or your family.

Blaze brightly and burn down anyone who tries to stop your shine!

That is the true way of the star child,

Heir of the Enigmatic Endless Pharaoh!

Heir of the last True Nova.

Young Endless Sun, do not seek the Endless Moon.

That path is shrouded in Infinite Darkness.

Only seek the brightest light within yourself.

The true Eternal Luck! The Twilight Sun!

"This gift of Seer's Vision is the only thing I can offer you," Shreya said out loud as the strange phenomenon from before faded. "It belonged to Raina. She wanted it to belong to me. Now it will."

As Shreya spoke, the five enemies in front of him heard words that shook their souls. They had no idea what he was saying, but they could feel it shaking the very fabric of time and space around them. This enigma felt isolated from everything, completely impervious to any outside forces. Lucius scowled, unsure how to handle this situation. He feared what power this mysterious maniac possessed.

The man finished his words, "This is the fifth alternative reality. Yours is the third. Normally, our fates should run parallel, never interfering with each other. However, I discovered that we have no parallel paths after the academy. That's only possible if you're the one he's been waiting for. I must contact you before your fate enters the unchangeable state so that you may learn from my life."

"With Seer's Vision, I have chosen to tie my destiny to yours...and that of Raina. As you grow in strength, you will learn about my life - mistakes and glories alike. Things may be very different for you than me, but no matter what you choose to do, I have given you the tools to survive and reach this day." Shreya continued with a pained look on his face, "I've sacrificed ten lines of our parallel karma so that your life will be nothing short of fruitful. There will no longer be a Shreya other than whoever you become. Morever, if my plan succeeds, then you'll never experience the events that brought us here today – an ability which is both a curse for my enemies and a gift for you."

He paused before wrapping up his speech with a solemn look in his eyes, "Use it well. May this entire world of mine join me in hell. But once I escape and deliver you this message, may your world live forever more, Little Luck."

"He must be stopped!" bellowed the middle-aged man wielding a broadsword.

"We must take him down, Lucius!" screeched the white-haired old man.

Lucius felt a wave of despair and dread surge through his veins as he heard Shreya's insane ramblings to the empty air. He could feel something powerful stirring within him and the force of karma around them was growing exponentially. His body seemed to swell with an unknown power as his arms rose of their own accord. Bright blue light swords shot forth from his fingertips, piercing the sky and cleaving reality in two. The shockwave of energy raged through the enormous ship, disintegrating every wall and structure like dust in the wind. The shockwaves that followed destroyed everything in their path and would have ripped apart even Lucius if not for the protection of Shreya's own overpowering might.

However, half a second before the swords impacted, time seemed to halt for everyone but Lucius Vanity, the only person present who was near the same strength as Shreya.

"If I can escape the soul eater's grasp and reach the field of reeds, then this story will be replaced by yours. You and I are one, so listen to me for a bit. Our enigmatic father loved us. Loves us. Please... try to love him too. Do it as early as you can, in whatever form he appears to protect you. We needed him, but I chose to let him go. Less of that. You will learn the truth as you grow.

"Do not bow your head to anyone under the heavens other than our parents and our women. No one is worthy. You will not die, I've given you the capital to ensure it. Fight for your own beliefs. This was our law before my cowardice. In my opinion, this is our true path. But make that choice yourself."

After speaking these impassioned and heartfelt words, the third eye on Shreya's forehead released a blinding light that formed a wondrous connection with something outside of spacetime. A beam of light escaped his forehead and entered the void, causing the tattoo to fade with it. As Shreya felt his consciousness traveling through a mystical tunnel of time and space, he turned and lifted his hand.

In his hand was a controller with a single trigger. He pulled the trigger and an explosion so massive that it threatened to burn even the sun alive ravaged everything in sight. The outer space explosion was more terrifying than the death of a star, its shock waves lasting for nearly a year before all went to black.
