1 One

Upon returning to the hospital Jungkook wasted no time in getting back to the room where his newborn daughter currently resided. Aylin was born only the day before and what was most unexpected was that she had come three months earlier than expected.

Though now it was only father and daughter that were together in said hospital room. Jungkook had woken up to find that his girlfriend was no longer laying in the hospital bed that she occupied but more rather left without a trace.

But to him, it was no surprise that this had happened. For a while, their relationship had been going strong but when it came time that they had found out they were expecting she had completely changed and she was far from the person he had fallen in love with.

It had taken him many attempts but eventually, he had convinced her to keep the baby but in return, she had told him she would leave once the baby was born wanting nothing to do with the baby or him again.

Of course, Jungkook was the complete opposite to his now, ex-girlfriend. From the moment he knew about the baby's existence he was very much over the moon,  happy and excited even if he was going to be a father at a young age being almost twenty-four but that wasn't going to stop him from being the best father possible to his little girl.

With Aylin's room now in sight, he made the last few steps into strides as he reached for the handle to open the door but just as he was about to open the door to enter the room the door already began to open surprising him as he was quickly faced with the doctor and nurse who were caring for Aylin.

Fear struck him, was there something wrong was Aylin alright? His heart began to pound inside his chest as he prepared himself for the worse.

"Doctor is everything okay? Is my daughter alright?", he asked worry evidently on his face.

"It's alright Mr Jeon. We are just checking up on her and she seems to be doing well at the moment, however, we're still wary of her lungs as they are a little undeveloped and we need to make sure that she gains weight, I myself will oversee the care of Aylin until she'll be able to leave the hospital in around two months time now if you will excuse me, I'll give you some time alone with your daughter and I will be back later to check on her again."

With a bow to the doctor, Jungkook breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, doctor."

Entering the room, Jungkook was met once again with the sight of his little girl in the incubator covered in wires and tubes and the tubes were her only source of oxygen helping her to breathe, stabilise her and help her to stay alive.

Grabbing a chair from the corner of the room he took a seat beside the incubator.

For a few moments, he sat quietly his eyes gazing lovingly at his daughter. She was very tiny weighing in at two pounds and four ounces but he knew that she would be a little fighter.

But before long Aylin became agitated and started to fuss a little with her tiny hands catching and grabbing the wires. With quick thinking, Jungkook reached into the incubator and began gently stroking her head hoping to soothe her.

"Hey, baby girl shh it's okay, it's okay appa's here it's alright.", he said softly as she had calmed down making cute little noises hence making a small smile appear on his face.

She was yet to meet the rest of the group her six uncles but right now Jungkook wanted to wait a few days until he had time to bond with her, hold her and to learn about her needs and care during her time in hospital.

The room was quiet and calm and the only sound of heart monitor echoed around the room as he continued to soothe her, his eyes never leaving her. From now on Jungkook knew that it would be a waiting game to see if Aylin would recover and if being premature would mean her having a disability which would be a definite possibility as he was told by the doctor when she was first born.

But to Jungkook, that didn't matter disability or no disability he loved his daughter with all his heart, because having a disability doesn't define you it's what you make of it that counts and right in that moment Jungkook vowed to let his little girl do whatever she wanted to do in life and never let anyone or anything stop her.
