8 Are you stupid?

"Hey" Bella shouted. "Mr. Williams" Noah turned towards the source of the voice. He was surprised to see Bella running behind him. "Yes?"

"How are you?"she asked genuinely. "We haven't had a chance to talk. We both are going through a similar pain. I know how hard it is to lose someone we love." she spoke in a low voice. "Anyways, how did you know my husband? Was he a good friend of your wife? I am sorry but I don't know much about my husband's friends or acquaintances." she gave an apologetic smile.

Noah chuckled. "What's wrong with this woman?" He pitied her.

"Ms. Are you really stupid or pretending to be one?" he finally spoke.

"Excuse me?" she asked, confused.

"Can't you see they both were cheating on us." he said.

"Listen, Mr. Williams, I was just trying to be polite. That doesn't mean you will speak whatever comes to your mind."

"Woman, are you really that stupid? Okay, so tell me what were they doing together in a car? Why did they lie? And that ring obviously isn't your size. If it was for you, he would've already given it to you. All these facts never crossed your mind?"

"I can't believe that you have such a hideous thinking. How could you think of your dead wife like this? Now I doubt if you ever loved her. And all these facts never crossed my mind because I trust my husband. He would never hurt me. He loved me." she spoke in a disgust filled voice.

"Are you trying to defend your cheater husband? Oh, now I understand why your husband chose another woman behind your back. You want to know why? It's because you are such a foolish and dumb lady." he laughed sarcastically.

*Slap* Bella's blood boiled upon hearing such words. She became so consumed by anger that she actually slapped that man. "Don't you dare talk to me like that again." she glared at that man and left.

Noah was taken aback by her sudden action. He felt a stinging pain on his left cheek. He couldn't believe that girl just slapped him. He felt so angry that he punched the wall beside him hard. More than that, he pitied her because she was so naive and idiotic.

He walked towards the car and got in.

"Bro, you shouldn't have talked to her like that." Chris said.

"She deserves to see the reality. She's living in her own dream world but the reality is that our partners cheated on us." Noah almost shouted.

"I understand bro but she must be going through a lot right now. She isn't naive. She's just blinded by love. She definitely didn't need what you did out there." Chris reasoned with his brother.

"Chris.." Noah argued.

"No bro, you have to apologise to her." Chris spoke not giving him a chance to retaliate.

Noah scoffed, his eyes stone cold, glaring at the busy road outside the window.

None of them spoke during the rest of the ride.
