3 Event 2 Similar

"Oh, hello Spring, I'm surprised to see you here", Kerry Lansden said as I enter the hall.

"I came because of An", I said.

"So, where's Seven? He said he'll be your escort."

"Oh... he's – " just then he entered.

"Hi!", he greeted, "Sorry, I'm late."

"It's okay", I said.

Kerry excused herself and left us.

Such a pity why she's jealous of me just because I'm the one Seven likes instead of her. I think she despises me a little but anyway, I don't care, I don't need to explain myself to anyone. I don't care what she thinks of me. It's just pathetic.

"Hey", Seven snapped.

"Oh", I just muttered, "What did you say to her?"

"Nothing."

"She doesn't like me, obviously."

"What are you saying?"

"Just feelings", I said, "She wants to be in my place."

"What?"

"Nothing, never mind."

After a while, Andros, with Aniston beside her, entered.

"I want to thank all of you for coming tonight", Andros said, "I'll take this opportunity to let all of you hear a piece of my beloved, Aniston Lelash."

Friends, guests and other visitors clapped their hands and Aniston begins to play.

Her wonderful music filled the air and I can picture the story behind it, as narrated by Aniston.

As she is plays, I slipped out of the hall and into the terrace.

The night is beautiful and the stars that appears to be twinkling lights are like fireflies up in the sky. As I was savoring the calmness, someone spoke behind me.

"Corselle?"

"Huh?", I muttered and turn to face the inquirer.

Standing in front of me is an aged woman about 60 or 70 years.

"Pardon me", I said, "Are you referring to me?", well, we're the only ones out here.

As if returning to her senses, she said, "I'm sorry, I thought you're someone I know", then she came closer.

"It's fine, ma'am", I just said, "Is she, the one you called me, a friend of yours?"

"Yes, she is, but that was a long time ago, she really looks like you, you have the same features, your face, your skin, your eyes and even your", she paused for a couple of second before saying, "necklace ", then looked at me in a strange way, as if remembering something.

"Another one?"

"What do you mean by that, miss – ?"

"Lelash, Spring Lelash", I introduced myself to finish her question (which I don't intend to answer).

"So what do you mean by that, Miss Lelash? Excuse my curiosity", she continued.

"A friend of mine bought a painting in England and I happen to resemble the girl in it, too", I answered.

I saw a trace of surprise in her face but ignored it.

"Probably, there's a lot of look alikes in the world", she then said, maybe sensing something amiss, "I'm Isalen Morslen, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, madame", I said, "Let's go in, someone might be looking for you", I invited and we went in.

Calina was hurrying in our direction with a smile in her face.

"Madame Morslen, I'm glad you came", Calina said, directing it to the woman, "I'm sure Andros would be glad to know, too."

Madame Morslen gasped, "Calina are you related to my new acquaintance, Miss Spring?"

"Yes, she's my cousin", Calina said, now acknowledging my presence.

"So, I guessed", Madame Morslen said.

"Excuse us Spring for a while, then", Calina said and they left.

They walk towards the table where Andros and Aniston are seated.

I went home early after having a word with the lovers. As I am refusing Seven's offer to accompany me home, Kerry gave me another grunt of dislike.

Lying on my bed, I recalled the event a while back and when Seven showed me Casandra's painting.

What's these all about? It is making the veins in my head knot. I don't even know why I feel something strange with these.
