15 CHAPTER 15

No, probably not.

She closed her eyes, asking herself why she was even this stressed. Well, she deserved that. If she were just to accept this world as her new reality and rebuke science, then she would not be this thwart, but no, she would never discard away her human knowledge even if it was for something certain.

Never.

And before that, she must keep herself calm and stay alert; never let such information influence her.

---and go with the flow.

"Sirius really is full of wonder," Zyair commented making Dale hum in agreement. Even if Zyair wanted to let her know but he thought it doesn't matter anymore. To let her know that 'Yuna's' the one you appointed Sirius as her sub-pillar.

"He must be really powerful too," Yuna stated with her normal voice. The two guys might not be able to see it but her face was giving off hints of anxiety. What other impossible things can this person do?

"Neh, you could say that but his power isn't as powerful and strong compared to the Pillars since he is a Sub-pillar like me." Zyair strolled near the stone wall as Yuna and Dale trail their gaze to him. They watched him pull a string, cascading the trundled papers to show another illustration to them.

It's a pyramid or the hierarchy of every 'power' in this world.

Yuna sat on the table facing Zyair as Dale pulled a seat to stay near his teacher.

"At the least, yet the most abundant and most basic type of 'Amony' is 'Levitheiah' [Levitation], every living being naturally has it." He started as he pointed to the bottom of the pyramid.

"Next was the Refineiah [Refinement], where you could spontaneously generate elements like fire, water, wind, and soil. It's something you can learn if you can master your natural gift, then you can be able to do so. Next, there's the 'Amony' unique to every different race, like Healing and growth that is mostly nurtured by the elves of Conorrah, body alteration for werewolves and yuu'nis, waterborne beings like mermaids can breathe underwater and distort the ocean and waters, mirages for demons, and many more. Second to the top are the 10 sub-pillars. Their power wasn't really theirs; it is only a segment of a Pillar's ability. They share their power with certain people to help them run errands. Examples of sub-pillars are Me,---the Philn-seeker, Sirius, ---the Star keeper, Deyonne,---the Soul seeker, Leigh,---the Memory Keeper, and others." He paused for a moment before he could continue to the last part in order to give both Yuna and Dale the time to ingest the information he gave.

--Most especially her, Yuna.

"Last, the four pillars. The scriptures said that those four powers made life possible in this world… Life/light, Time, Darkness/Death, and Wisdom. Light scattered her grains of life, the Death painted the dark sky. Time designed every being as Wisdom compelled knowledge. Thus the world we have now." Zyair finished.

Instead of being captivated like Dale, Yuna wore a pathetic smirk like, 'Nice Myth you got there,'

What a steadfast mind she has, it could make someone profoundly irritated.

"Why don't you try it, Teacher, your power?" Dale, who has been sitting beside her, rumbled in excitement for his curiosity got the most of him.

"Err, how could I even start?" She scratched her head, as if she even knew something about magic.

"Well, even if you are suffering from oblivion, your power is still there." Zyair approached her as Dale suddenly hugged Yuna's waist after hearing the sad news.

"Please don't forget me, teacher." He sounded immature, but kind of cute to her because of his minor feature. She patted his head and strokes his pink hair.

His warmth lunged deep down to her bones, such intimacy, it could somewhat melt her stony heart, hopefully.

"Your hand," Zyair held his right palm up as he stood in front of Yuna while Dale was still clinging onto her. For a moment, she hesitated. She could guess another impossible event was about to happen again but, if she was really in a dream, everything here doesn't matter now, right?

---And just enjoy this dream until it's over, so why not?

She slowly lifted her willowy right hand and placed her palm on his. She curiously watched him doing whatever he's doing and after a minute, a glow emerged inside their palms it startled her. She almost pulled her hand away in instinct but Zyair, using his free left hand. He held her wrist as he continued to descend his hand from hers.

"Keep your hand steady," He gently advised and stopped his descending hand. The white glow was now in the middle of her hand from his. Fascinated by the sight, she wondered if science could even explain this.

"Seems like your body did not forget what it once accustomed to, you probably let it guide you." Zyair glance at her, but she did not do the same. He found her amazed by the earlier performance.

"Is it the air?" Dale asked as his ears shifted, waiting for answers.

"It looks like one," Zyair freed his hand from clenching Yuna's wrist, planning to pat Dale's head, but Dale unerringly moved away from him and took an attempt to bite his hand.

"Haist, you dare." He took a step back away from Dale's attack, only for the glow to fade away.

"That was awesome," She softly murmured to herself. Gladly, the two started another childish fight, cutting her awed self.

She noticed how her personality was momentarily changing like she's kind of adapting. Well, killers are supposed to be adaptive to sudden changes. It was kind of helpful and not at the same time.

Now that she found something interesting, worse, she could be able to do it. There's this part of her that's wishing this was real, and she solely loathed that.

"Well, doubt the wonders indeed."

She watched the two fighting dudes, shouting childish kinds of stuff to each other. It was kind of sad she even met them. Hayden's threat would be for nothing and Manasseh and Omri, they would be nothing but an illusion.

There's only one way to know if she's dreaming or not. Perhaps there's a need to do that now. But first, she needed to fix the telescope as soon as possible.

Let me ask you,

Did you experience waking up in the middle of the night?

Was it because of a nightmare?

From falling?

Or

A dream of dying?
