1 Prologue

Human Beings, Always the ambitious and imaginative one. There is no limit to how far a Human Being could go to fulfill his ambitions and desires. With their unbound imagination Humanity had, have and will continue to reach greater heights. One thing that separates Human Beings from the other species existing in the universe is the power of thinking earning them the scientific name, 'Homo-sapiens'. With their power of thinking and reasoning, Human Beings developed themselves into a brute force who was, is and will remain undefeated until the very end of the blue planet: Earth.

As Human Beings developed further, they divided the planet Earth and forcefully made it their own. The planet was meant for all the species living on it. Because of their ambitions, desire to gain more, Human Beings developed machines of total destruction. By negotiation or by force, they captured each and everything that was meant to be everyone's.

The ultimate weapon of Human Beings for development as well as destruction, Science. The more it contributed, The more it took. People who loved the medieval time more than the modern fancied themselves by the means of several fantasy novels featuring transmigration or Virtual Reality based Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games.

It is said, "when one's imagination, wish and ambition is mixed with a little bit of Passion, It gives birth to a newborn desire to attain that thing at any cost."

This is what happened when the wish turned into a desire, several Game Development Companies took charge to develop a fully functional Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game [VRMMORPG], The world where the dreams come true. Alas! Game Development Companies were successful in creating the World of Dreams but, they weren't able to create the dream itself.

The old Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games [MMORPGs] still swarmed the market and made a better profit than the newly released Virtual Reality Games. Developing a fully functional Virtual Game drained too many resources and wealth which left several Companies bankrupt and many shut down.

Finally in the Year 2048, A fully functional Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game came into the International Market and the company which developed the game, Arteria Gaming Ltd. sold fifty thousand copies in just a few hours of release. The game, 'Eternal Battlegrounds' was the upgraded version of another famous Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game [MMORPG] called 'The Inferno', which was also developed by the same company.

The Inferno was one of the most played and most loved MMORPGs. Many of its players earned a huge amount of credits by playing the game and taking part in the online tournaments organized by the developers. The game was also famous because it had a conversion feature in it which let a player convert the game currency into real money and vice-versa. It had almost thirty million players worldwide and had a record of seventy thousand players online at the same time.

The new Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game [VRMMORPG] Eternal Battlegrounds enabled a player to fully immerse into the game world by enabling all the five senses to work inside the game world. This was possible due to a device called, 'The Spirowyre' which was also developed by Arteria Gaming Ltd. The device is worn like a helmet and reads the nerves inside the brain and manipulates the brain and other senses into witnessing the signals send via Spirowyre.

The other features of [Eternal Battlegrounds] which attracted the people to try and get addicted to it was that the size of the world was twice as big as the real world which provided many people to play together into one server. The graphics matched that of the real world. The most prominent feature of the game was the daylight feature which changed the day into night and night into day. The game also had an Anti-Cheat system, currency conversion, Player Vs Player battles. Player controlled territories, Clan Wars, Territorial Wars, Different starting areas which made it more intimidating and inviting.

This World which was made to fulfill several dreams was known as [The Asterium], The World where one could write their names in golden letters or black letters, it depends on the person which path to choose. The world where a person could do anything with just a weapon, The World was known as [Eternal Battlegrounds]
