2 Bond with a beast

Ten years has past since I was born and I have not figured out a single thing about my reincarnation.I have been practicing to use my powers for the past four years and it seems I am only able to use a fraction of my former energy.

"Sorry.Oh mom, I've been meaning to ask, why is the dog able to spit fire out of his mouth"? I said pointing at the dog that is clearly abnormal." That's because he is a flare hound that's called an [Ebeast](1) with pyrokinetic powers,why"?my mom said not understanding why I asked such an obvious question.

"Oh I see an ebeast with pyrokinetic powers that makes sense,wait what!" I looked at her with a confused expression on my face."What's an ebeast no better yet what is a pyrokinetic"?(Tarymia).

"I told you and your sisters about it before didn't I or were you not listening"?she said with a smile that didn't match with her expression.

Giving out a sigh of disappointment she decided to explain again " Ok listen up I'm not going to say this again.Espers are classified as beings with powers called esp and are categorized as different types namely: [Pyrokinetic] [Telekinetic] [Electro kinetic] [Irokinetic](2) and there are many more."

"Wait types?I thought espers just uses esp to enhance their body" (Estivol)

"No no,if you use esp energy like that you will die.You haven't been doing that have you?" (Tarymia)

Realising that saying yes would lead to my ruin I decided to smile and not answer.

"Oh yes that reminds me we should go for your [Esp ID] ,you are ten years old already and you should also get an ebeast." (Tarymia)

"You should have already had an ebeast, I'm ashamed to call you my brother." (Tanya)

"Now now, Tanya you can't say that there are others that doesn't an ebeast just like our failure of a brother,I know he'll one day be able to do it" Aillina said trying to encourage me but just making it worse.

[The next day]

We were on our way to something called a [guild] to register and get my Esp ID.When we arrived I had to take something called an aptitude test when "hmm that's strange the machine doesn't show your aptitude,I wonder why?" (guild employee)

"Is that weird?" my mother asked with a concerned expression. "Very.There are only two possibilities one:you are able to use every esp ability like the six progenitors(3) which should be impossible and two:you have been using esp without ever using an ability." the guild employee started to look suspicious of me.I had to come up with an idea to get out of this when "could it be he is a compound user?There has been instances where this has happened and the esper was a compound user"another employee said, I jumped at the chance and replied " Y..yes I van use two different abilities.I can use pyrokinesis and electro kinesis"thinking about my sister's abilities I heard about yesterday. "O my that is rare,that explains the malfunction"the guild employee said.I felt relieved at not being found out, I mean if they knew I was like the progenitors I would've been taken to the government for experimentation.

After the 'incident' they explained about the privileges I had as an esper.One of the most disappointing things I heard was that only 45% of the worlds humans were espers.I felt regret at not being able to give everyone powers however it seems all the animals instead got powers.A while later I got my ID card and took a look

Well this is unimpressive.

The next day I decided to go into the forest near town and get my self an ebeast.I searched the entire forest for a strong looking beast I could tame but all of them either ran away or were too strong for me to handle. I was on the verge of giving up when I came across a black cat or should I say kitten. Deciding not to go any further or go home empty handed I wanted to tame the cat.

" Gggrrrr"<Get away from me human or I will kill you!>

"What, was that telepathy?Wait you can speak(kind of) the human language?" I asked astonished. The kitten sneered at me at tried to attack me but collapsed.

After a while the kitten awoke and jumped away from me "ggrrr"<what do you think your doing human?> " Calm down I'm not gonna hurt you I only want to talk."(Estivol)

<I won't fall for a humans sweet words I was already used before by humans,NEVER AGAIN!> the kitten yelled telepathically however right after that a noise broke the tension between us, 'growwwwl' made the kittens belly.

"fufufu..it would seem you are hungry.You know I would consider giving you food..." (Estivol)I said taking food out of my bag that my mom packed.

<Where gimme>(black kitten)

"However you have to become my ebeast partner."(Estivol) Immediately after it sneered again and replied <Never.I will never become the property of humans again>(black kitten)

" I never said 'property' I said 'partner and you will not survive for long.You will die of hunger if you don't except my offer,so what will it be?"I said smugly knowing it does not have any other choice. The black kitten pondered about it's situation for a while and finally gave an answer <Fine but you don't own me and I wont always do what you say.If it comes down to my life or yours I will choose my own> a smile enveloped my face and I answered happily "Deal"

<Now gimme food>with drool coming out of its mouth it snatched the food out of my hand and wolfed it down.

"I guess I should give you a name hmm..." thinking for a while I finally got to a name "...what about Yami(4).It should fit you nicely" stopping a while from eating to answer me it said <I like it.From now on I am Yami hehehe!">it exclaimed.

That's how I got my [Esp ID] and got my very own [Ebeast]."O man, look at how late it is, my mom's going to kill me"(Estivol)
