Esosa: The Magic-Chosen

The humans, called 'esosay' by the depojico, are overrunning Aljea. The sentient, magic-struck reptile species are all disappearing. The only reason the depojico are still around is because they live in the mountains and stay hidden. They also keep a close eye on their human neighbors. An apprentice named Jaumes was chosen to train as an Aljeaberav, a "world guard". He enjoys the work, but isn't quite as good as his childhood friend. Then, suddenly, she's no longer in the picture. At the same time, the son of the Chief of the Blue River people is traded with another tribe. He adjusts quickly to the life and religion of his new people, but then he is pulled away from them. The two are given the responsibility to unite their separate species. The goal is survival. But can Jaumes and Greenbrook do it? Especially since survival of one species means the destruction of the other.
