Chapter 1

By the time the two had reached the castle, the sun had started to rise over the horizon. He sighed dreamily as He looked down possessively at Kalen.

"All mine now," He whispered to the unconscious boy.

With a hum, He slipped up the stone steps to the looming castle doors, patting the monstrous three-headed dogs guarding the entrance on His way up. The doors slowly opened for him on His way in.

Moving through the dark corridors and stairways of the castle, He came to a stop at a door. When He stepped in, it was to a room of red and black

Placing Kalen on the king-sized bed, He watched him sleep.

As His eyes lingered on his face, His breath caught.

Kalen's blood-red hair and pale skin contrasted beautifully on the black, satin sheets, dark as a moonless night. He was petite with a small nose, big eyes hidden under the curtain of sleep, and rich, red lips small, but full.

As He sat on the edge of the bed, He have into the urge to stroke Kalen's face. The red and black canopies swayed around them, carried by a small breeze.

Placing a gentle kiss on the corner of Kalen's mouth, He reluctantly left the room to find a solution to Kalen's escapades that would keep His pet in His home and His arms, forever.
