28 Chapter 28

To my surprise, Collin opened the door and his eyes widened. He ran off and I got sick again. I was startled as I felt a hand come to my back. I looked back to see Ty at my side while Collin stood at

the doorway.

"I'm..." I stopped as I got sick again, "sorry."

Ty rubbed my back, "I never imagined it would be this bad."

I leaned to the left on the wall near the toilet, "neither did I." I closed my eyes as I felt ill.

"Where's your phone? I'll call Ivan."

I shook my head as I opened my eyes and smiled at Ty, "he's already worried enough. He won't leave me alone if he knows." I chuckled, "maybe they are a bit alike, those two brothers. But at least he does it out of worry and concern rather than obsession and dominance."

I began to stand as Ty aided me, "don't push yourself."

"I need to get ready."

"Ready for what?"

I didn't look to Collin, "I have an event with Ivan tonight." I smiled but still looked at the floor. "I think we all need some time apart."

"You don't have to go, El. We can work this out."

I am not running from you, I just want to enjoy a night being a regular person. It has been a long time since I have. Can you help me next door?"

Ty aided me to walk across the hall and into the other room.

I smiled as Luther rushed over, "are you alright?"

I nodded, "I need to shower but could you help me wrap my wrist when I finish?"

"Of course!"

"Let me help you," Chris offered but I shook my head.

"I can do this much alone," I replied before walking over to the shower. "Ty," I said as I stopped, "I will come out and see you here, right?"

He looked to me with sadness, "he will not find you again, El. But for your piece of mind, I will sit at the door."

I looked to him with tears welling in my eyes again, "soon enough he will show up. He always does."

I quickly went into the bathroom. I showered slowly in order not to stress my body nor irritate my wrist. As I came out, I was glad to see Ty next to the door. He stood and led me to the small table. Luther wrapped

my wrist but paused when there was a knock at the door. Cade opened it and Angie came bouncing in.

"In room stylist at your service!" She cheered as she rushed over to me. She hugged my side as I noticed the clothing bag draped over her arm.

"Thank you for getting me something so quick."

She scoffed, "I get to play dress up with a beautiful woman! It's my pleasure!" She rushed over to the bathroom and put the dress inside the door. "Can I do your makeup?" She asked as I smiled when her face popped out of the doorway.

"Absolutely. It has been a long time since I wore nice

makeup."

She squealed in glee as Luther stood. "Feel free to use the table. El shouldn't be getting up if she doesn't

have to."

"Right!" She called as she rushed over with a bag load of makeup. She began painting my face as the men in the room quietly began discussing their possible jobs. "So I heard from Ivan about what's going on. Have you wanted a child?"

"Not exactly. I certainly never wanted one with my mate in the pack."

"Well, it will probably be hard for him to find you here. There are not many full bloods in the country."

"That certainly will not stop him."

Angie looked directly into my eyes, "Ivan refuses to talk about his brother. Is he really that bad? I just cant imagine a bad man being your eternal mate."

"He is the devil," Ty mumbled as he came by us to get a drink from the mini fridge.

"That's crazy to think Ivan would have a brother like that. I don't think Ivan has a bad bone in his body!"

I did not respond and closed my eyes as she moved closer to them with the makeup brush.

"I do have to thank you."

"Oh?"

I heard her chuckle slightly, "I have worked with Ivan for a while and have never seen him like this. Since you met up...he's like a different man. I've never seen him interested in anyone before. He acts like a teenager with his first crush." She laughed, "he keeps calling me asking what to do. He is so worried about messing up again that he runs every decision he makes by me first. He wants to give you very lavish gifts and I keep having to talk him out of it."

I snickered, "phones, a gold card, and a house are not lavish gifts?" She sighed, "I talked him down to those.

I opened my eyes as she moved away from them, "please keep him from giving me so many things. It is unnecessary and I am used to supporting myself."

"May I ask something?" I nodded, "are you really the first princess of the pack?"

I felt everyone in the room tense as the stopped speaking. "I am," I replied quietly as everyone looked to me. "My mate is the successor of the king and has given me the title as the successor of the queen."

"But I have heard so many terrifying things about the first princess! They have to be talking about someone else."

"No, they are speaking of me."
