Done with the melodrama?

Mrs. Nelson frowned. She turned to look at her impatient daughter and chided her softly, "Glynn, don't be foolish. Do you think this matter will stay suppressed? Someone might have already seen your brother bringing that woman to the hospital. If you leave now, what will others say?"

She couldn't understand how it could be her daughter so foolish when her son was so smart.

"That's right, Glynn," before Glynn could say anything to her mother. She was interrupted by Ariel who looked at her with a gentle smile and continued speaking, "I know that you don't like staying in the hospitals but at times like this a family needs to stick together. Listen to Auntie and stay back, alright?"

She couldn't let Glynn leave, if this girl left, then she wouldn't be able to make things difficult for Ari.

'That darned woman, just when I thought that I had cleared her up nicely…she pulled this drama,' Ariel cursed Ari in her heart. She didn't believe that Ari fainted because of starvation. In the past, there were many times she was locked up by their mother, Ari didn't faint back then, so how come she fainted this time around?

She must be faking it! Ariel was certain about it.

Contrary to her thoughts, her expression was full of concern as she remarked with a sigh, "Ari has been weak ever since she was a child. I cannot believe that you locked her up, what if something happened? I will never be able to look at her in the eyes. She is already upset with me because of that little game."

Ariel liked to make things about herself. Even though she was standing in the hospital and her sister was unconscious, she wanted Noah and his family to console her.

It made her feel better, loved and superior to Ari, who couldn't get these things despite trying so hard.

'She deserves it, if she wasn't born then our family wouldn't have gone down to slumps like that,' Ariel thought viciously.

"What are you talking about, dear?" Mrs. Nelson felt sorry for Ariel the second she heard her show concern for Ariana.

That girl snatched everything from Ariel, despite this, Ariel still showed her concern for that girl. She was too kind!

Mrs. Nelson if possible wanted Ariel to be her daughter-in-law. She was everything that Mrs. Nelson liked in her daughter-in-law. Ariel was meek and soft-tempered, she also knew how to treat her daughter and son better than Ari, who was too strict with her daughter and too demanding with her son.

More importantly, Ariel had a heart of gold. If not for that man, she would have sent Ariana away years ago and brought Ariel to her family.

Ariel smiled softly when she heard Mrs. Nelson's words. She shook her head and then said, "I am fine. Mrs. Nelson, I just feel guilty… regardless of what happened in the past, she and I are sisters. We need to stick together through thick and thin, that's what sisterhood is about. There is no need for us to hold grudges."

"Only you think like that," Glynn rolled her eyes. She also thought that Ariel was too nice to Ari, just like Madam Nelson.

"You don't have to feel guilty," Noah patted Ariel on her shoulder. "This was my decision, it had nothing to do with you. So, why are you feeling sorry?"

"I——"

"Are you done with the melodramatics?" A voice echoed from behind, and they all turned to look at the elderly woman who was staring at them as if they were scum.

"Hey old woman, what is the meaning of that?" Glynn being short-tempered couldn't help but snap at Mable.

Mable raised a brow and then stated sarcastically, "I am just being honest. Your family member is lying on the hospital bed because of your negligence and yet instead of taking care of her, you all are performing here."

She then turned to look at Noah and asked, "Did you take the prescription list from the doctor? If you haven't, then I would like to remind you that your wife needs an IV transfusion urgently. If you are free, please follow me and sign the form."

Her words caused Noah to flush red, even Ariel felt a bit embarrassed. She didn't think that this elderly woman was listening to them, or else she would have not started to act here.

She turned to look at Mable and said, "Nurse, it's not like that——"

"I am sixty, young lady, not six. I have more experience than you have teeth in your mouth, don't pull that sh*t on me, got it?" Mable interrupted Ariel with disdain in her eyes. It was so palpable that Ariel stiffened and anger surged in her heart.

She clenched the bag in her hands and wished she could hurl it on the old woman, but Ariel controlled the urge as she was in public.

Wanting to correct the old woman, Ariel persisted, but Mable didn't give her a chance, she turned on her heels and walked away.

Glynn and the rest watched Mable walk away.

Glynn couldn't help but remark angrily, "What's the matter with that woman? Why was she acting so snotty?"

"Maybe she thought that I was making everything about myself," Ariel said with an expression of self-blame. Before anyone could doubt her, she decided to confess it to her. She did this because she was confident that no one would believe her.

And just as she expected, Mrs. Nelson snorted, "What nonsense? Is it our fault that the woman provoked this tragedy? Even a parent is allowed to punish a child when they do something wrong. Ari caused such a mess one after another, what's wrong with us teaching her a small lesson?"

She then rolled her eyes disdainfully before turning to look at Mable and remarked with a haughty sniff, "That woman might be one of the nosy ones, who do not know anything and yet try to act all just and fair without knowing the cause."
