'One minute is definitely enough.'

A simple probability could not assure Rein's safety, but it will somehow ease his negative mind.

What he did not imagine came to life, he did not propose to work riskily at all, for all the living years of his life is deeply calculated. Time, Money, Energy...

Through the living years of calamity, there is only one reason that Rein did not give up, nor he could give up.

All the times that he spent living through enormous pain and effort, are not for his sake, but for the sake of his beloved mother.

Hence, right now is a bit different, because he decided to risk his life not for his mother, but for his closest friend. And he knew that if he messed up three lives would be in vain, including his.

The Orc king loudly roared, until it shooked the abbys of the dark dungeon,

''Y-you! Y-you! How dare a mere human like you, steal food from a king like me?!'' The Orc King added, '' Aren't you prepared for the consequences?!''

While, Rein was listening to the Orc King giving him some petty lectures. He quickly weighted Gavin through his shoulders and rashly escape heading to the portal.

''Ahh! Grah! C-capture that bastard human for me!!''

Swoosh

With a single leap, Rein had gone ten meters in an instant, and it was a movement which is too slick to handle, even the goblins which is known for their zippy shifting was nowhere as fast as Rein's foot.

''My Goblins, surround that human!!''

''Huff.''

Rein was almost in his excessive state, and he keeps on trying to catch his breath whenever he cuts a goblin head using his sword.

''Huff, get out of my way!''

Rein roared as he tightens his grip on his sword using only his left hand,

Shriek!

''Damn it, There is no end to this green creatures.''

The goblins have almost surrounded Rein, and it was due to the hundreds of holes in the every edge and sides of the underground cave. The goblins keep on expanding while enhancing their strength in different formations.

''Ugh.''

Gavin groaned while slowly trying to open up his eye,

''Hey, Gavin, if you don't wake up, The two of us will become a grilling meat of some green creatures.''

''AAH f-fuck, I thought I died and here I am escaping death with you.''

Rein chuckled after hearings Gavin's retort, although the two of them are really escaping death, they're really not far from the heaven's gate itself, because the goblins had already circled around them, surrounding them with short wielded brittle daggers, and some even was equipped with wooden bows enhanced with poisons.

Gavin deeply scanned his surroundings, it was clearly lucid, they were surrounded.

''S-so, what plan do you have in your mind Rein?''

Rein thought for a second, then accompanied by a blank retort,

''Run and gun.''

''Fuck.''

In a brief moment, Rein coiled his right arm to hold Gavin tightly in his shoulders, he also strengthened the grasp he had with his Augmarium sword before he decided to move.

He first analyzes the situation, but Gavin was already ahead of him instead.

''The warp portal is at northeast direction, Just a few 50 meters away. But, I know you know that there is a massive disaster coming before heading to a safe zone right?''

Rein lightly nod, as like he does not care at all,

''I don't see any disasters, Just a few creatures equipped with a spoon and forks.''

Gavin's complexion was starting to get pale, although Rein could not see it because of the dual-colored mask that is covering his face.

He could somehow predict that Gavin stopped looking at the situation and decided to gaze at the rough ground.

''S-so, … Off we go?''

Gavin stuttered while trying to hide his deepest emotion. He immediately knew that Rein was not trying to give up on him, and he decided to look on a brighter future just to save the both of them, although he made a good response to assure Rein that he's ok.

Because what only Rein wants is for him to not lose his fighting spirit, and to think on the positive sides of the current situation.

And Rein still can't normalize their current situation, only he could do is to strengthen the morality of his ally (Gavin), because what they will do next is somewhat precarious, and even he can't predict the outcome.

''I know you're scared, Hence I can feel your uncontrollable tremble in my shoulders, and I can't blame you for that, for that is what we humans feel when we are meeting death.''

''I-I just don't want to die in a painful manner, and I wish I don't feel anything at all when I die...''

Rein bit his lips, as he could emphasize himself in Gavin's thoughts, because he also was scared, every time he faces a situation where he could not determine to survive or not, … Will always make his mind blank and make his body shivers.

Just like how Rein worry about how to pay his mother's medical fees, and what to eat tomorrow, next tomorrow, and the following consecutive days.

He also felt an unimaginable fear that he could not withstand, and even if he wanted to ask for help, no one was able to turn their backs on him, because he is not even worth a pinch of their assistance.

''Fix yourself up.''

Rein notified Gavin, and with a simple nod Gavin prepared to cast a blue barrier around them. Although it is just a tier 1 spell capable of blocking small melee weapons, like daggers, nonetheless it really could not thwart highly fast projectiles like arrows.

''Huff.''

Veins started appearing on Reins two legs, and within a few fractions of seconds.

Boom!

The ground exploded and Rein used his highest leap, it was his strongest swift-step, but this movement is rather unique and pretty agile to use, moreover it has many side effects.

''Barrier!''

Although Gavin could not hear Rein's word because of the wind, but he could somehow sympathize what he meant.

Clang!!

Clang!!

Screech!!!

Gavin blue barrier banged the goblin crowd thoroughly. The sound of the metal armors converging with the shield was somewhat unpleasant. But he has to hold it in, because if he won't, the two of them will stumble upon a hundred of goblins awaiting for their death.

Clang!

Clang!

''Hah.''

Rein gasp, as he could not imagine how much force he's been using to throw away the goblins. It was like he was playing in a rugby match, but the only problem is that he has more than 100 enemies.

''W-we are almost there, So just hang in a little further!''

Rein uttered as he keeps bouncing away the goblin with Gavin's barrier.

''I-I can't hold any…''

''Damn.''

Gavin has fallen unconscious to his right shoulder, and it was now the time to use his sword as an alternative.

Spurt!

SCREECH!

Screech!!

Purple blood spluttered everywhere in the ground, and yet Rein did not even mind any of it because half of the nasty blood is already on his face, covering all his eyesight and breath.

''Huff, I'm nearly almost there.''

Moreover, Rein could not see anymore. He still knows his current destination and his biggest purpose.

''HA-AHH!!!''

As well as Rein's on the run. He swung his sword left to right and the goblins head keeps on flying away from its natural point.

Spurt

The goblin near Rein could not even react, since their head have been taken away from them.

''There! Gavin wake up!''

While Rein's keeps on cleaning their path, he saw a luminous sky-like void ahead of them. The goblins could not enter the portal no matter hard they tried, because it was guarded by Cecil's Tier 4 barrier magic, capable of blocking the rank status of 8-11 star beast.

''I could not understand why they call you green creatures a beast, but now I think I have a gist of it!''

SsCREECH!!

SCREECH!

The goblins could no longer eat their shame. Melee attacks were not in effect in terms of the single human, instead it was taking away the life of their teammates.

In a single click from a few yards away. The goblins cleared Rein's route, and they started gathering on the edges of the dungeon.

''What? No who?''

Rein gasp, continued with his head turning in a circular motion. His complexion was somewhat unpleasant, as he could not maintain his composure very well.

'He's testing me.'

Rein knew that the Goblin Elder was testing him, and if not then the Goblin Elder and the ferocious Orc King already came personally to his designated destination to destroy the portal.

But rather the two of them made it like a survival game.

'I don't know what you are planning, but I will take this opportunity.'

With a cleared path ahead. Rein boosted himself with his feet, but it was not as fast as before. Because the toll that he's receiving seems much greater when time flew by.

''There! Gavin!''

Up ahead Rein could now see a blue translucent barrier and the portal was inside that shield.

''Stay strong! We're almost there Gavin!''

Veins started to bulge in Rein's two legs, as he had already decided to end it with a single leap.

Whoosh!

The ground cracked as Rein could not even be seen to the naked eyes, only the fuming of air revealed itself in a straight direction.

And it was heading to the portal.

Shangg~!!

Rein was repelled by the barrier while Gavin was thrown inside the portal. He bounced and flew a few meters away, and even his sword that his clenching was stuck in the bluish barrier.

'Ugh!'

Excruciating pain was running on every parts of his body. The sensation of feeling your bones being cracked was somewhat agonizing.

''H-Haah, hah.''

But Rein did not give up, instead he forcefully stood back up to look for Gavin, nonetheless what he could see are the miniature stars of an imaginary universe.

Only the blue particles of dust were left, and even Gavin disappeared without a trace.

''Hah.''

He did not know if he should be angry or happy from the sudden turns of event.

He raised his palms to touch the blue particles of dust, as it was the only remnants he had of his friends.

Click.

''I-Insane.''

On the contrary, although Rein knew that the Goblin Elder is testing him. He didn't know that he would be willing to go as far as to make the goblins prepare a hundred nearly stretch bow for him.

''Crazy green creatures.''

Rein slowly showered the blue particles of dust on his jet-black hair. He shook his head for a second before grabbing his augmarium sword on the rough surface. He tried to clench it tightly with his nearly no strength hand.

Furthermore, he then moves one step forward.

Click.

SWOOSH!

SWOOSH!

SWOOSH!

Without a second to breathe. The Goblin Elder clicked his fingers, and it was accompanied by the hundreds of arrows shooting consecutively in a single direction.

'So what can a single sword do? So what can a single black haired man wearing a simple chest plate armor accomplish with his surprising abilities? Can he pull off another stunt? Can he block the arrows? That's what your thinking right?'

Rein madly gaze at the Goblin Elder, even though their distance was long.

Their eyes still met and converge. But Rein quickly shifted his head to looked for the arrows that were aiming for his life.

''Hahh! So what can a nearly dead man do?''

He then grabbed the two goblin corpse on the ground and covered it for himself.

Thud!

Thud!

The poisonous arrows plunged themselves in the rotting flesh of the green goblins, and Rein slowly knelt to the ground to avoid his feet being hit.

Click.

A few minutes has passed by, before the Goblin Elder stopped his underling from shooting. It ordered the goblins to bring the human to him.

And after he saw the black haired human being dragged by two of his underlings. His mouth was agape as he could not express his emotion.

''This human has the luck of Gods itself. Even death could not take him apart.''

The Goblin Elder gaze at the unconscious human who was full of goblins yellowish blood.

''Only his steel plate armor was hit by the poisonous arrows. And what's more surprising is that only two of it pierced his defenses.''

The yellowish retina of the Elder Goblin reached the furious gaze of the Orc King.

''So what is your decision my liege, Is he qualified? Also, he does not even have the slightest bit of Mana which means he could not absorb any highly rank Mana stones.''

''Grr...''

The Orc King stood in a daze for a second before speaking with his two gigantic fangs.

''I want to chew that human bit by bits. But if that lowly human is having a use to us then I can't pursue my hunger any longer.''

''You can always eat him if he does not have a value anymore my Liege!''

''Then I be waiting for that moment to arrive. The taste of the humans does not exceed the taste of an elf. For now make him the new Mana Slave and if he could not move anymore, Immediately bring him back to me.''

The Elder Goblin nodded his head in agreement, and with a single click of his fingers. The two green-like goblins dragged Rein away from their line of sight.
