14 Chapter 14

Thanks to how hard the iron skinned armadillo's armor was, a direct hit from it would give its opponent and a severe blow

The two opposing sides stood opposite to each other as they both shed blood

The armadillo has a large gaping wound in its head part while Rezen don't feel well inside as he coughs out some more blood

Both of them received quite the serious injury and Rezen was even more assured that if he really die here, Mia wouldn't do anything to prevent that

Rezen could only rely on himself just like what he does ever since he entered this world as he wipes the blood in the side of his mouth

He took out shurikens from his pouch and threw them while targeting the wound he had already made on the armadillo

In return, the armadillo waved his sharp claws to deflect them and Rezen's actions enraged it again

As such, for the nth time, the armadillo charged at Rezen, causing its wound to worsen

This time, Rezen didn't plan on tackling the armadillo head-on. He can't, even if he wants to

His insides were still suffering from the 'earthquake' he receives earlier and against the armadillo that has a stronger base power, he would definitely lose out

Rezen stood in front of a tree and when the armadillo was close enough to him, he immediately jumped away

The armadillo rammed the tree causing it to crash down

The impact might not be strong enough to hurt it at normal times but with its exposed flesh, ramming the tree causes it to bleed more

Without a rest, Rezen continued to move as he jumped into the other hand of the crashed tree

He controlled his mana and have them coat his entire arms as he carried the tree from the ground

Merely coating one's body part with mana is crude and wasteful but it's not like Rezen has any other choice

It might be crude but it still helps him do the job and he managed to raise an entire tree through his arms

Rezen raises his hand along with the tree as high as he could before slamming it into the armadillo's body

The tree instantly broke into smaller pieces, sending splinters in all direction

Against an enemy with strong defense, blunt attacks would be better compared to sharp ones

Not to mention, with the armadillo's wound, smacking it like that would definitely worsen its condition

A crafty light shone in Rezen's eyes as he lured the armadillo into an area with more trees as he uses them as his weapon

One step at a time, he made the armadillo's wounds worse until it almost lose all of its strength

Only when he judged that the armadillo was weakened enough did Rezen dashed at it while controlling his mana and putting his hand in front of his mouth

"[Water Style: Water Spray!]"

Rezen sprayed a torrent of water to the severely weakened armadillo. With the monster's state, it wasn't able to dodge and Rezen ended its life with the use of water spray

As soon as the monster died, Rezen coughed out more blood. He used up almost all the mana in his body and forces himself despite having severe internal injuries

Although Rezen has more mana than usual with his [Blessed Body], in the end, his battle points are still around 3,000

Battle points are measured through the body's quality and the amount of mana the target has

The majority of the 3,000 points that Rezen has are all because of his mana but his body quality is quite trash

If not, a single direct blow from the armadillo wouldn't put him into this state

"Nice one kid!" Danny arrived to help Rezen continue standing and he immediately praises him

Not everyone could kill a monster with much higher battle points than them. Typically, only geniuses could do something like that

"H-hehehe..." Rezen laughed proudly at that before he looked at Mia with expecting eyes

"Don't stare at me, your [Water Spray] made a huge contribution in your victory but its effective range is only 4 meters" Mia said and Rezen can't help but pout his lips though he knew that what Mia said is true

The only reason why his [Water Spray] hits the enemy was because he planned things and waited until the armadillo wouldn't be able to dodge

"To normal people, killing monsters with equal or higher battle points than them is special but it wasn't. Humans have something that monsters don't and that is our intellect"

Danny's grimace at hearing Mia's words. That is almost the same as saying that Danny is a 'normal' person

Although Danny knew that he was weaker than her, is the difference really that high?

"At the start, you fought the armadillo head-on and only realizes your mistakes later on. If you utilize your plan from the start, you wouldn't be that injured" Mia continue criticizing the poor Rezen that could only accept every word she uttered

Anyway, although Mia is blunt, it's not like she was wrong. Her insight helps Rezen improve his own

"What do you expect from that brat? He's just a piece of useless baggage from the start" Chester chimed in, happy to see Rezen being put into this state

"Say that when you can easily defeat a monster with higher battle points than you" Mia rebuked and Chester's cheeks immediately reddened from embarrassment

"I know that we are just a group of mercenaries tasked to do a mission but please refrain from speaking if you wouldn't say something helpful. Your nasty comments always ruined the group's mood"

In terms of being blunt, it seems like no one can win against Mia. Well, it's not like she was wrong

Chester has been the most unlikeable out of everyone here. Whenever he speaks, his words are always not something that others would like to hear

They merely tolerated him since he was part of the mercenary team although the team is only a temporary one
