10 Chapter 10 Gathering of Friends

Jack woke up the next day with terrible sleep since he couldn't stop thinking of how his kobolds will eventually starve without a plan.

Realizing that he can't just separate the kobolds since he can't watch over them the whole time didn't help relieve his stress.

The trio had agreed to meetup in the afternoon so Jack decided to just look over his realm while waiting. Two hours before the meetup he remembered that he should probably bring something to this mini party so, he quickly left to get some drinks and food.

Arriving at Xiao's dorm room on time with bags of chips and soda that the friends liked he knocked on the door awkwardly.

The door opened to reveal Ryan standing in the doorway with a huge grin who helped carry the chips in after seeing Jack struggle with all the food he brought.

Sitting down at the only table in the room the three started to share their own stories of their realm's progress after greeting each other.

Ryan started to share what he has been doing over the past few days.

"So my Realm started in a forest with 1star trees,1star birds, and 1star bushes containing various berries and 2star deer. I organized my fifty gnomes to start building shelters while organizing a small group to pick the berries to feed the group. Settling the tribe with basic living spaces and a sustainable source of food which was the berries. Also organizing a small group of hunters I arranged after crafting a few bows and arrows with the help of the gnomes." Ryan explained the basic startup he did before moving to his main plan.

"So as the gnomes are smarter I started teaching them language and writing for the next months alongside various tools and tricks for trades. Also with the pregnancy cycle of 6months I wasn't worried the tribe expanding too quickly." Ryan explained how he took advantage of the smarts the gnomes had.

"After they understood the language and writing which took over 8 months for the smarter ones while for the dumber ones it took up to 14 months. I started to teach them basic magic through a library I setup with all the time I had while the gnomes were learning the language." Ryan with a huge grin unveiled his master plan that surprised neither Jack nor Xiao as it was an obviously good strategy.

"With the basics of magic taught to the gnomes I let them experiment and with the sharing of information and understanding between gnomes the community advanced their understanding of magic to the next level. Though with the radical experiments some gnomes died unfortunately." Ryan explained with a grim expression remembering the scene of the gnome blowing up.

"Though I don't have classes for the gnomes yet allowing them to advance in level with their understanding they are able still able to strengthen themselves overtime with magic. Hopefully I can earn a class card in the monthly competition." Ryan finished his introduction of everything that happens shortening it a lot as most of what happened in his realm was just time skips waiting for the gnomes to understand things. Thinking about the upcoming monthly competition brought a grin to his face.

"Guess its my turn now." Xiao replied with a grim expression.

"So I had murlocs alongside 1star coral, 1star fish ,1star crabs and 2star lobsters. I helped the murlocs build huts made with bones, shells and sand on the beach so they could hunt. The lobsters in my realm are naturally stronger than my murlocs so I have to personally guide them to hunt these lobsters. Otherwise the murlocs just catch fish from the beach. As murlocs are also pretty stupid they don't really remember any sort of training or planning I lay down so no big improvements on the whole in my realm." Xiao finished explaining so quickly the two friends thought he would continue but Xiao didn't continue talking.

With an awkward silence between them Ryan finally said something. "Did you use your card slot."

"Not yet as I am saving my slots for better cards." Xiao gave a fake explanation though Ryan didn't pick up on it while Jack already knew what he was waiting for due to having future knowledge of this world.

"That sounds unfortunate but at least your entire realm isn't at risk of collapsing like Jack's realm." Ryan tried to console Xiao though it had the opposite effect. Though Xiao wouldn't take it to heart since he knows Ryan meant well.

"So lets start coming up with ideas to help Jack's situation." Xiao awkwardly started the reason they gathered in the first place.

"Ryan the separating plan won't work by the way since once I stop observing they will just join back up together." Jack looked at Ryan remembering why he couldn't sleep last night.

"A couple options I can think of would be to somehow exile the kobolds or risk their lives. How this would happen is a different subject." Ryan gave his opinion with a thinking expression wondering if it would work but having no better option decided to put forth his thoughts.

"That is alongside what I am thinking since you can't increase food production any further since the kobolds increase to quickly. I was thinking along the lines of creating some sort of glory fight where kobolds would fight to the death but for your faith and blessing. Allowing your faith not to suffer as much." Xiao added after Ryan finished giving Jack and Ryan something to think about.

"That is a pretty good idea but how this glory fight would come about is something to discuss as if its not frequent enough then the problem will only be delayed to next week." Jack questioned this method since he couldn't think of how this would solve the root of the problem. Leaving the room in silence for a few seconds.

"I think I know how to make it work." Ryan said suddenly surprising both his friends.

"How." Jack clearly stressed out asked. From Ryan's smile he quickly realized that Ryan would have continued explaining.

"So I think your tribe should organize an arena where kobolds will fight to prove their worth. The new adult kobolds will fight with the older kobolds for a spot in their community and if they fail the kobold will die. This will help your kobolds train their courage and maybe remove their innate fear from their bloodline while also training the kobolds." Ryan finished explaining his plan to the surprise of Xiao and Jack. This plan could work and sounded like it could have greater effects than just fixing the problem of overpopulation.

The three friends agreed together that this plan would be the solution and started on expanding and fleshing out the plan. They continued working throughout the afternoon planning the new social structure, leadership, farming and faith. Finishing the plan when the night had already set in Jack thanked them before saying his goodbyes to his tired friends.

Arriving back home at his dorm room Jack struggled to sleep but this time not out of stress but out of excitement. Eventually falling asleep due to his tiredness taking over Jack rested peacefully before a great change would take place possibly changing his future forever.
