The earth has two reals, where humans and spirits could live separately. The Earth Realm where mortals live and the Spiritual or Descendants Realms.

But once in a century, TIME OF DAWN or the opening of gateway between the two realms will show its existence which made humans who are at the age of 18 and older, have the opportunity to tame the spirits so that they can have the never ending life unless they were killed by force.

Humans can only tame one spirit for the rest of their lives, if they failed to tame one before the age of 30, they will die.

But is not easy as humans could expect, spirits are known as soul thieves. Once they lay their hands on you, you could die.

The bond between humans and spirits happens after the spiritual blood bind where both of the human and spirit must agree.

Year 2020, another year for Hanabi to tame one spirit for her own. There are just two choices for her, tame one or die.
