281 The battle of the bloody rock valley part 11
Dalai had died. His head fell to the ground and the hole in Haley's chest kept dripping blood.
As the battle with the two god-tier beings came to an end, Haley started to float down. All the crystals around the area started to vanish, like dust into the wind.
The vast quantities of divine winds started to vanish, the weather calmed down. Soldiers still kept running away, leaving the valley empty, except for Rufus and the dead.
Rufus limped where Haley was coming down. He saw that she was badly hurt and still in her trance state.
"Haley. HALEY!"
Rufus was able to gather his divine powers and manifest his wings. He flew to Haley and grabbed her. She was completely unresponsive and looked like she was sleeping with her eyes open.
He took her back to the surface and saw that Haley was badly hurt. Her eyes were open, but she was limp like she was passed out.
"Haley. Say something. Please say something," Rufus said with tears starting to fall.
The hole in her chest looked bad. Usually, at least her level of divine being could heal wounds fast, but not this one.
"Haley. Please don't leave me. DON'T LEAVE ME!" Rufus yelled while crying as he felt Haley getting cold.
She opened her eyes. Haley's eyes had returned to normal and the crystal on her forehead rolled off and when it hit the ground, it turned to dust.
"Haley?"
Rufus's sister spew blood and shook as she had lost a lot of blood.
"Rufus.....I am cold."
"Shhh. Don't talk. We will patch you up," Rufus comforted his sister.
Rufus tried to manifest his wings but, he was weak and they were being summoned slowly. He yelled if anyone could come and help him try to stop the bleeding, but no one replied.
"Do you want to know why I hated you for a long time....."
"Don't talk, please."
"The reason was that I was jealous not only of you but of Harley. On how you looked at her. I wanted you to look at me like that as well. I wanted to make you smile and hope. Not because you were my brother."
Rufus didn't know what to say.
"For over ten years I have hoped you didn't see me as your sister. Cause I wanted to be more.....Rufus. I love you and have for years..."
Haley's hair started to glow. Crystals started to appear on top of her skin.
"What's going on Haley?"
Haley didn't answer and the crystals concentrated on the hole in her chest. Her wound started to close as the crystals stopped the blood from flowing out.
"HALEY! PLEASE STOP DOING WHATEVER IS HAPPENING!"¨
She then pushed Rufus away as the crystal forming increased. She smiled. Crystals formed around her and, like a man frozen in ice, she had been sealed inside a large crystal.
"HALEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Rufus immediately started to try and destroy the crystal. He pounded at it and used his divine powers to try and make a crack, but nothing happened. The color of the crystal was different from the usual and didn't vanish quickly like before.
"HALEY! HALEYYYYYY!"
Rufus had no idea what had happened. In a blink of an eye, so many things occurred. He could not make sense of anything anymore. He then heard steps coming from the bushes nearby.
"That thing....is no human...."
Rufus turned around and saw a familiar person limping toward him. A familiar person whom he had thought Dalai had killed. It was Ala Phokas.
His clothes were in tatters. A bone was sticking out from his calf and was moving slowly. But still, he was alive and survived an attack from a god.
Ala summoned flames trying to burn down Rufus and the crystal as well. Rufus blasted the flames away by flapping his divine wings creating a gust of wind.
"Step back king Rufus. I will get back at you, but that THING is my priority right now," the emperor said and pointed at the crystal.
"What you are describing is my sister," Rufus said in a furious tone.
"That thing is not your sister. That thing was no god but had the power of one. I can not have something like this in my world," Ala said.
"This is not your world!"
"THIS IS MY WORLD. FROM EVERY GRAIN OF SAND TO THE HIGHEST PEAK. THEY ALL ARE MINE." Ala yelled in a surprisingly out of character.
Rufus was set back by the emperor's outburst.
"AND I WON'T HAVE A COMPETITION ON WHO WOULD BECOME THIS WORLD'S GOD. ONLY I SHALL RISE TO THAT. NO ELSE!"
Ala sent forth flames that were weaker than usual, as he was hurt badly also, but neither was Rufus capable of great feats. He tried to protect his sister and himself with his wings spread out, but they were getting burnt and slowly burnt away. Rufus still refused to go down and used his bare body to guard her sister against the flames.
Rufus's skin was burnt down. Soon Ala stopped his attacks thinking Rufus was dealt with. Rufus refused to go down, though his hair was on fire. His skin had turned black with third-degree burns all over and his eyebrows had been burnt away.
He ran at Ala while yelling like a madman. A last-ditch effort to punch the emperor down as he had no strength to use his divine power anymore.
The punch landed, but the emperor didn't even flinch. The punch had no power behind it and the emperor just let Rufus fall to the ground as his legs couldn't keep him up anymore. The emperor felt as if the life force of Rufus was slowly vanishing.....and finally....gone.
"Goodbye....king Rufus Fairfax. I will make it so that only I will remember your name, as I will rip your existence from the annuals of history," Ala said and moved toward the crystal.
Ala was in front of it and touched it. He thought that such amazing power, would be so useful, but he was also envious. As he was not the one wielding that strength.
"You also will be eradicated from history books," Ala said and lit the crystal in flames.

"Aaaaaargh!"
The emperor yelled as his leg was ripped apart and blood flew all over. He looked d who had attacked him. At first, he didn't see or sense anything, but what he spotted was terrifying. A monster in behind him.
It was a being that slithered on the ground like a snake as it had no legs or arms. It had a horrifying-looking mouth with razor-sharp teeth. The strangest thing was that the entire monster was formed from pure divine aura, just like Rufus's wings. Also....it had no eyes.
The leg of the emperor was in its mouth, but it didn't swallow it. Instead, it already started to disappear and disintegrate in its mouth, like it could destroy anything that it bit. Similadestructiveve divine power that Rufus wielded.
Ala sent forth more flames, but the monster widened its mouth and just ate all the fire. Ala put his hands in front of him, as a reflex, fearing it would attack. But it didn't attack or finish the emperor.
The snake-like monster came toward Rufus and sniffed him. It touched Rufus gently like it was Rufus's pet.
"What kind of monsters are you as well....."Ala said.
With the help of the monster, Rufus was able to open one of his eyes. He looked at the emperor and slowly lifted his finger.
"....k....k...kill....." Rufus said.
The slithering monster then charged at the emperor who in panic started to throw fireballs at the monster.
"Stay away you fiend!" Ala yelled in desperation.
The monster cut off his arm with just one bite and was not harmed by any of the emperor's attacks. Ala tried to flee, but the monster followed it. Like a cat playing with its prey, the monster gave the emperor hope as it allowed him to try and flee.
It then turned right in front of the mighty emperor and opened its large mouth.
"RUFUS! PLEASE! CALL AWAY YOUR MONSTER!" Ala yelled.
Rufus was on the ground, but still had one eye locked on Ala. He didn't flinch but kept staring right at him and Ala noticed it. Rufus looked straight at the emperor as the monster was about to kill him.
The monster then went for the killing bite as the emperor yelled. As it devoured him, no blood splatter nor limbs were left of the emperor. His entire existence vanished. And also, memories of him as well.
