Demon blood festival of Kairouan part 2

Caval was, in the meantime, easily beating Gwon, who had difficulty landing even one hit on the demon.

"Give up already. You know it's hopeless for you. Either die now or give your divinity and body to my brothers. I would probably choose death," Caval said while holding on to a sword made from flesh.

Gwon growled with his light sword between his teeth. He was fast enough to avoid the blows that would have killed him. Still, the demonic sword had a mind of its own and had saw-like edges that caused horrible cuts that would get infected immediately.

Caval tried to use his tail to destroy the divine writing keeping the seal active, but Gwon realized this and, stopped him. Caval slashed Gwon with his sword, but he jumped away in mid-air. The flesh sword of Caval grew in size and tried to catch and cut Gwon like the sword was a snake.

Gwon's hindleg was almost lost as the sword cut into him badly. Gwon collapsed on the floor and caused the furniture to break as he came crashing down.

"Fine, I will finish you before I free my brethren," Caval said.

Gwon smiled back as Caval realized that Gwon had grazed him in his hand. Black blood oozed out of the wound, but it quickly healed itself.

"All your life was only worth a small scratch on my hand," Caval said with a smile

Liana was about to get caught, but she created a spear made from light and left it on the ground for the demon to get stabbed by as it was charging with unrelenting rage. The demon that chased her, ran right into the spear, having it go deep into its abdomen. The demon looked like it couldn't feel pain and kept running, eventually letting the spear go further inside itself.

Liana kept trying to get away and soon reached the doors guarded by the Ghersengs, imperial Varangians, and one sentinel of embers.

"Halt, not a step further," a Varangian yelled.

The other demon then jumped over Liana, grabbed ahold of the Varangian, and lunged its claws into the throat of the imperial soldier, killing him instantly. The Ghersengs and Varangians were visibly terrified, but the sentinel of embers immediately tried to burn down the demon.

As the demon yelled as it was set ablaze, it attacked the sentinel, pushing him down and putting its nasty hands around the sentinel's head. It started to forcibly open his mouth. The demon pushed itself inside the poor warrior through his mouth, but also gave Liana a chance to enter the room.

"RUFUS! HELP!" Liana yelled as she opened the door.

They all turned around and didn't know what was going on. The demon then broke the door and the entire wall behind Liana. It had grown more vital as it had possessed the sentinel of embers.

"Aaaaah, this feels so good," the demon said as it inspected its new body.

Edward and Joan, in an instant, lunged at the demon, trying to decapitate it. Still, like trying to hit a tree trunk with a wet towel, the attack didn't even faze the demon. The demon then created another set of arms and punched the siblings away.

"Now, I will finally get my revenge on you, queen Satifa," the demon said and pointed at the queen.

The demon's neck stretched out as it tried to bite the queen, but a large swarm of locusts attacked it, forcing it to reel back its head.

"I think it's time for me to leave," prince Segeric said while he calmly started to exit.

"Where do you think you're going?" the demon said as it stretched its hand to stop the prince from leaving.

"I believe I had a deal with you demons?" Segeric said.

The queen looked mad, while the prince looked indifferent.

"You might have had a deal with Caval, but not with me. Also, my brother doesn't have a body yet to possess. I am sure he would like your body very much," the demon said, with its other arm stretching out to drag the badly wounded demon.

The demon squealed but refused to die. Its black blood spilled out of its guts faster than it could heal itself.

"You betrayed your own kind and allied with a demon. How could you?" the queen said and was about to attack the prince.

The demon then threw the wounded carcass of his comrade, with the demon ready to forcibly possess the prince. Then Segeric created armor made from flames around him and grabbed the injured body of the demon.

The demon yelled and squealed and tried to force its way inside the prince's mouth, but the flaming gauntlet burned the demon and gave the prince increased strength. Segeric ripped the demon in two like it was made from wet paper.

He then broke out of the room, with the queen unable to stop him, as she was busy fighting the more evolved demon. Rufus was then ready to go after him but was halted by Satifa.

"No, we don't have time for him. If this demon has escaped, we are in danger. More of its kind will try to escape. Go to the room where I have sealed all the demon books," Satifa yelled.
