27 The Battle Against The Devil 2

Sefia charged at Yoshihiro and slashed down. Yoshihiro parried then went for the attack, but one of Sefia's phantom blades blocked the attack. Sefia flew back and sent the phantom blades at Yoshihiro. He dodged and blocked them and grunted. He was getting a bit fatigued and it showed in his movements. He started to get sluggish. Sefia summoned her phantom blades again then dashed to Yoshihiro again. She bellowed and went for the strike. Yoshihiro grabbed her arm and slammed her to the ground then picked her back up. He tossed her in the air and hit her with his hammer. Sefia groaned and rebounded off the ground and panted.

"I haven't had this much of a thrill in battle since the day Lord Astros came. I must say, you have more power in you than you look.." Yoshihiro said.

"I could say the same about you..although you are getting up there in years, your power has not weakened..making you a mighty warrior." Sefia said.

Ranmaru watched in awe. Not may people could stand against Yoshihiro. He kept watching the battle and rooted for Sefia. He wanted her to defeat Yoshihiro.

"Now..Come at me young one." Yoshihiro got in his stance.

Sefia sent the phantom blades at Yoshihiro and summoned more and kept shooting the blades at him. Yoshihiro blocked them all and slammed his hammer on the ground. Sefia was stunned by the shockwave. Yoshihiro dashed to Sefia and swung his hammer and connected a direct hit. Sefia was blown away and crashed into a wall and fell on one knee. She held her stomach and stood up again. Kikuri held her arm and looked at Sefia.

"Sefia.." Kikuri said.

"I will see this battle to the end!" Sefia bellowed and dashed to Yoshihiro again.

Each time she got blown away by his hammer. Joshua tried to get up, but his body wouldn't allow it. Kikuri stood up and fell on one knee. Her body was tired as well. Sefia walked to Yoshihiro, all beaten up and weakly swung jer katana, but it disappeared before she finished the full motion. She fell on her knees then on her side. Yoshihiro looked at her and raised his hammer. Ranmaru got in a stance and vanished then slashed at Yoshihiro in all directions then slashed one last time, blowing him away with a blade beam. Yoshihiro grunted and rolled on his side. Ranmaru appeared in front of Sefia.

"A woman..?" Joshua asked.

"No, I am a male..My name is Ranmaru..Ranmaru Mori..and I am joining Aria's side.." Ranmaru said.

"Ranmaru..? Wait..you're Nobunaga's Page.." Joshua said.

"Yes..I am joining your battle..." Ranmaru said.

Yoshihiro stood up and grumbled. He looked at Ranmaru. It was a familiar face for him. Ranmaru dashed to Yoshihiro. Yoshihiro was surprised about his speed. Even Kikuri was surprised. He slashed and lightning surged from his sword. Yoshihiro blocked the attack and nullified the attack because of him being partly an Earth Element. Ranmaru took a deep breath and magic symbols circled around him.

'Fury Arts: Mystic Flash!' Ranmaru thought and attacked Yoshihiro from all directions and ice particles flowed from his body.

"How is he that fast with a Nodachi..? The blade is extremely heavy." Joshua said.

"Somehow..he is faster than me...and stronger..he can use Thunder and Ice.." Kikuri said.

Yoshihiro couldn't block the attacks because Ranmaru was moving too fast. Ranmaru appeared in front of Yoshihiro and slashed down and a huge blade beam rushed at him and hit him. Yoshihiro crashed into the wall and slid down the wall. Ranmaru exhaled and frost came from his mouth then slid the blade back into the scabbard that was on his back. He walked to Sefia and crouched down to her and took out some medicine from his bag and made her drink it. Sefia scrunched her eyes then slowly opened her eyes. Ranmaru smiled and looked her then started to heal her with his Warrior Skill, Empathetic Love.

"You're a good support unit, I'll say that much." Joshua said and smiled.

"I've been training like this for years. Working with Master Nobunaga, Lord Mitsuhide, Lady No, Lady Ina, Gracia. It is a given since there are few support units around. There are more buffers than actual supports." Ranmaru said.

"Well we really appreciate your help..We thought three against one would be enough but he has raw power and defense." Joshua said.

"It's no issue. Yoshihiro is a One Man Army, it's takes more than three people to defeat him, but Sefia came close until he started to repel her light.." Ranmaru looked at Joshua and Kikuri and signalled them to come closer to him.

They both got closer to him and he healed them and gave them medicine. He stood up and walked to Yoshihiro and healed him and gave him medicine also. Yoshihiro thanked him.

"He is really selfless. He even healed Yoshihiro.." Sefia said.

"He is a potential ally. We need people like him up for up north..Except when it comes to Lord Omu, I suggest all light users and magic users to stay away from him. He drains Light Attacks and Magic Spells and they power him up. He is literally unbeatable unless someone can cancel out that ability." Ranmaru said.

"Wait he can? That must mean his ability is-"

"Yep. Cosmic Void. Any Light Attack or Magic Attack will be drained and power him up. It's basically a bootleg version of Master Nobunaga's Nomad Ambition. He only difference is there is a condition that has to be met with Lord Omu's ability. But both Lord Omu's ability and Master Nobunaga's ability are passive.." Ranmaru said.

"Meaning it is always active in battle.." Kikuri said. "Well that's great! We literally have to fight a god up north!"

"To make matters worse, he has a light mage by his side at all times." Ranmaru said.

"I see..so we have to deal with a cheat god.." Kikuri said.

"Basically..in my opinion, it's the perfect counter measure and is the reason he captured all 8 kingdoms in the north." Ranamru said.

"Well, if that's the case, I shall help Aria achieve victory in this war." Yoshihiro said.

Everyone smiled and nodded. Having Ranmaru in Aria's army is a major advantage when it comes to taking down kingdoms in the north.

Meanwhile in Nixtorm, Mitsuhide and Gracia was having tea. Gracia traced the rim of her cup and sighed a bit. Mitsuhide looked at her.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"It's not the same without Ranamaru..he had the best stories during tea time and now he's gone." Gracia said.

"Well he's gone for a good cause. The downside is we have to battle him soon..we are one of the three keys to getting into Lem. We mustn't show mercy even if it's against a friend." Mitsuhide said.

"I know...I just hope he doesn't die...he made a promise he would stay alive. He's one of my closest friends..seeing him disappear will destroy me." Gracia said.

"As long he is by Aria's side..she will keep him alive..i can tell she is as selfless as he is when it comes to her allies..she's taking on a big risk by going against Omu..she definitely puts others before herself." Mitsuhide said.

"Yeah..I know..but the future is no guarantee..that's why I am worried..but I have faith.." Gracia smiled.

"Good." Mitsuhide smiled back.

They continued to drink their tea and relax on the balcony.
