She snapped opened her eyes immediately not wanting to go down that disgusting memory lane of that horrible night weeks ago and when she did, her eyes immediately fell on the same honey orbs looking right back at her, with his gaze boring through her skin, sending shivers down her spine. She shuddered internally reading through that penetrating gaze and her forehead creased into a terrified frown.

"Khushi---"

She heard him utter, and she flinched again, with an unsolicited fear engrossing her. Her mind visited another round of dangerous images of a whole lot different place and her lips trembled, her eyes took the color of a terrifying red, and she started nodding her head to and fro while her breathing became heavy with every passing moment.

"It's you!" she managed to say and then have seen him reach out to her.

"Khu--"

"Don't you dare touch me!! Get the hell out of here!" she found her own voice breaking just as she noticed him going still in his place instantly turning into an immovable figure just looking right back at her with the same boring gaze. She closed her eyes again, hoping for the scary image to vanish away and opened them back after a few moments to indeed find the place he was standing empty. She let out another sigh of relief just when she noticed the person walking towards the door, momentarily stopping holding the knob and slightly turning his head to his side, as if making a final decision.

And then it happened, for the first time in years, a vivid memory, a distant memory, a memory that held her smiling self, a memory of a time which had a Khushi who almost seemed like a stranger to her own self, memories of those innocent years of her life"everything ruminated right back into her mind--- "wait--" the words left her mouth even before she knew it and she kept staring at his back, observing his shoulders stiffen as huge amounts of uncertainty and anguish still resided in her stance.
