12 chapter 12

October 2006,

A Random Day...

The dark of the night somehow always soothed his nerves and the drive in his beloved Tuscan relaxed his mood efficiently. He loved cars and travelling has always been his passion. The only thought that kept him going these past 2 years and will keep him going the few months ahead is that he would get away from the place, by the end of it. The anticipation of what awaited him kept him going during the days while he would push himself harder to make sure he achieved those required grades.

But the night that follows each day is a whole lot different story. The familiar surroundings of his house where almost all his memories have always been only of rude destructions did nothing to his mind that had been seeking some kind of Solace. The over the top loving Nani, whose only motive at the time was to indirectly insist him to move on from his past and be normal"which would also rub right in his face that he isn't normal; and then there is his ever so loving sister. She is his everything, really and may be the only proper interacting person in his life, but then lately he noticed that despite going through everything together, she had moved on from it, all too naturally and he on the other hand has been stuck with this whirlpool of emotions and complexities. Not that he was complaining, he was happy the way he was, he wouldn't want it in another way and he was even happy that his sister found her solace at least but that's what astonished him more at the same time. She not only did pretty good for herself being indulged in her passion for music, she even took music as her subject in her college and is now is full of her life having achieved what she always wanted to--- she is the new singing sensation in the world of movies and that makes him immensely proud. Of course the family influence came in handy but her talent isn't something that can be ignored.

So, yes, Arnav Singh Raizada was the loner, as always looking at the perfection of lives around him from a distant lost in his own world, playing it all safe. He was young, expecting a future of solace and he knew he would only find it in a place away from here"from Delhi, the root of his existence that he hated to the core. He hated monotony. He can't stand seeing the same faces in his life for a long period of time, he wasn't use to actually; he wasn't envious of his sister, he was truly and genuinely happy for her; she has just merely seen a dream and have achieved with utmost conviction which he would do eventually. His plan was set, wasn't it? Only his dream included running away' as his Nani has claimed it, but he hated staying still. If people called it running away', then be it, he would care less, all ne needed to do was get the hell out of here soon.

And hence, after another heated argument with his Nani about his future plans, he set out on his way to his usual mid-night drive. This was the closest he could do to travelling' in these two-three years and this obviously settled down his rage and calmed himself. The fast moving trees and buildings across his window seemed like moving lives and he saw himself running away fast into a desired future leaving it all behind, exactly like the way he wanted. The left side driving wheel behind which he was seated owing to the fact that it was an imported car, made it all even the more relishing--- his blue Tuxan, that he had bought with his first very international acquisition during his last vacation, is his proud possession and his only object of serenity at the moment.
