Enthralling Super Car

It was a cloudy Saturday in the year 2061 in Hamilton town. Here most people used electric vehicles or hydrogen-fueled car for travelling. While Kia, a young lady, was working in her office, it started raining heavily. She worked industriously in her office for 6 hours. After she had finished her work, she decided to go home. Her husband, Miles was an engineer. He drove the car and picked her up. Also, he picked up their son, Smirk from his school.

Due to rain, it was difficult to drive on the slippery road. Moreover, small cracks on road were filled with muddy water. It was conspicuous that Miles was trying his level best to drive on that road. Also, if the tyres were punctured, it would cause a great trouble for them to repair at that time. So, Miles drove the car pedantically.

On reaching the home, Kia cooked dinner for her family. Smirk came towards Miles who was reading a newspaper and said, "Dad, what can we do to tackle the situation that we faced today?". Miles thought for a while and said, "It`s a lot to think about, son. We should do something innovative to evade such situations in future." Smirk gave Miles an idea to make their car a super car. He added, "in my opinion, we can make puncture proof tyres." "That`s remarkable but how?" asked Miles. In reply, Smirk said, "We can make that by using a fine rubber that cannot be punctured at all. For that, we cut rubber in form of a normal tyres, and then, some hollow space will be left for vacuum. Then, needle or any sharp objects when coming in contact will get struck to the tyre." Miles was astounded by his son`s wit. He exclaimed, "excellent, you are a virtuoso." Miles added," Would you like to make it a flying car?" Smirk nodded in affirmative. He asked, "Is that possible?". Miles told Smirk, "Yes, it is possible. By attaching winds and using 10 motors that run our table fan and using two exhausters down of the vehicle for providing it the thrust to fly. Moreover, in case of emergency, we might use a hot air balloon filled with helium gas for landing." "Brilliant, dad!", exclaimed Smirk. Miles further asked, "Have you read about Arduino boards in school?" enquired Miles. To this, Smirk nodded in affirmative. He said, "Yes dad, I have learnt about Arduino boards in my school." Miles said, "we can use it to make our car automatic."

Then, with some other imagination, Miles and Smirk were ready for making the super car. When the meals were served by Kia, she came to know about their plan by Smirk. She also told Miles, "I would help you if needed". Miles said, "Ok, Kia. You can help us tomorrow in making the car."

The next morning was Sunday, and chilling winds were blowing that soothed the mind and body. Enthusiastic and excited, the Tyler family went out and purchased all the essential materials to make the marvellous car out of their old car. Using their creativity, they replaced the old tyres with newly designed tyres made by Kia and Miles. Smirk sometimes became the spectator to see what was happening. They made a system to attach wings to the car. The wings were dazzling blue in color that matched the color of the car. It was made in such a way that by pressing a button, it could spread itself and be ready for flying and vice-versa by pressing the button again. Along with the wings, many motors were also attached.

4 motors that provided backward thrust for propelling forward, and 4 motors that provided forward thrust for gearing back. Then, 2 big motors were placed down the car that provided it upthrust. All the motors were either run by solar panels, wind energy and water or using LPG of their house. They made that car automatic by Miles idea of using Arduino boards.

As Miles was an engineer, he had taught Smirk about Arduino programming on a desktop. Furthermore, they programmed Arduinos as per requirement. One for auto-pilot mode (driving to a pre-defined location at a specific time) like dropping Smirk and Kia to their work places respectively and then picking them up. Another Arduino for delivering the information about the amount of fuel left or required to drive a certain place. They finally made the car within 9-10 days. It was marvellous. During vacation, the family went flying to many places.

When Miles sometimes felt unwell, Kia and Smirk would press the button of the car so that it could come and pick them up. It was resilient to unpleasant and inevitable situations such as incessant rains and winds.

From then onwards, the Tyler family whole heartedly anticipated adversities to enjoy the facilities provided by their super car. They named their car, Homini. On pressing a button, Homini responded obediently and efficiently. Smirk and Miles were ecstatic at this huge success that they started thinking on new projects every Saturday and worked on it on Sundays.

Kia too was overwhelmed at their success and baked some pastry pieces to enjoy. All the family members enjoyed. Recalling the heavy rain that came that Saturday, Miles , Kia and Smirk thanked God to have given the adversity. If there had been no rain that day, then Homini would have never come into existence.

Somehow, government of Hamilton town came to know about Homini and congratulated Tyler family for making such an astounding car. They received the Nobel prize for quantum physics, and Smirk was given scholarship. From then onwards, Smirk was called Master Smirk in school. Homini became a sensation and made its owners affluent.

Finally, Smirk and Miles never stopped inventing things from their acquired knowledge and imagination. Many people came to sign contacts with Mr. Miles for getting their inventions. This was how quantum physics changed the life of Tyler family.
