"On the day I got my heartbroken, where were you…"

With the sound of the guitar, that girl began singing the song. Her voice was clear and it was like my nerves were calming down hearing her voice.

"Where were you when I had my first kiss.…"

"When I got scolded by my parents, why don't you save me…."

"Where were you that day..…."

The girl was singing one of the few songs I had heard since coming to this world. It was a song that was called «Where were you». It was written and sung by the current queen of singing Yan Xing.

It was an emotional song which has a very romantic feel to it. From what I know, it was song in which a girl is asking her current lover where was he, when she was in trouble.

Overall, this was one of the songs which will surely touch your heart. It's been five years since this song is released but it is still a popular song.

The girl on the stage was also performing the song with excellence. It was not better than Yan Xing but she had done this song justice.

The girl voice was certainly special, it was like I was in a relaxing massage. My nerves were getting calmed by each word.

The girl's voice also had a effect on the surrounding audience. The people were silently listening to her music.

As I glanced around the bar, I noticed that a few customers that were still talking and laughing before had shut their mouths. The bartender standing behind the counter stopped shaking the cocktail shaker in his hands. Even the servers walked quietly, afraid of disturbing anyone.

The girl's voice certainly had a effect on everyone. The whole Blue Dive bar was silent. They were listening to the song from not their ears, but their hearts.

"Hey, do you not regret that you were not with me.."

"In my most important and saddest times..."

"Where were you that day…"

After five minutes, the song finally finished.

Not a voice could be heard in the entire venue. It was unknown who took the lead but, after a moment, applause rang out.

A good performance was a good performance. If someone sang well, naturally, they deserved to be applauded.

The roguish whistling that ensued elicited laughter from many people and gasps of admiration could be heard.

"Lin, you are great today as well"

"Lin Ru, I wanted to marry you"

"Your voice was really calming today as well. Please always sing for us"

Within the applaud and comments, the girl bowed and thank everyone.

"Thank you for your applause, everyone. I hope you will continue to support me and hear me sing"

"Yeah, we will always be your fan"

"Sing one more song for us"

"I will be your fan even if the world is going to end "

Amidst those applause, the girl walked up to the backstage.

Although there were people telling her to sing one more song, she didn't stop.

I also clapped at her performance. It was a performance worth clapping for.

I looked at Bai Shu who was also clapping and asked.

"Is she the singer you were telling me about?"

"Yeah, president, she is the one. Her name is Lin Ru. Her acting skills are pretty good and she also has a good personality"

"If she's that good then, why is she still a bar singer"

No matter how much I thought, it was really strange for her to be a bar singer. She was good at singing, has good lucks and her personality was also good.

That type of singer will already be scouted by some entertainment companies.

It was really confusing but Bai Shu next words blow away my confusion.

"She was actually, well, she has already debuted once"

"Actually, two years ago, she was scouted by a entertainment company. They easily persuaded her and she also signed the contract but after that, it was hell for her"

He continued with a lowered voice.

"He sure is but because of that incident, she is slightly scared of entertainment companies and hadn't signed a contract with one since then"

The entertainment industry has plenty of bastards like Lin Ru's previous boss.

Many people didn't believe it but there are many hidden rules in the entertainment industry and doing sexual favours was normal things for many aspiring stars.

Although it is a normal thing for stars, if it came to the light that any star has done that, it will destroy his or her career for eternity.

"It will be hard for us to persuade her but if we really persuaded her, it will surely give a boost to the company"

"Yeah, she is someone who can definitely become a star if she was given a good opportunity"

"We will give her that opportunity. Chief Bai, can we meet with her for a few minutes"

"I will go find out"

Bai Shu said as he got up from his seat and moved towards the bartender.

The bartender and Bai Shu talked for some minutes, it was a peaceful talk at first but it quickly escalated into some sort of quarrel.

They both were looking like they were haggling for something.

Finally, the talk ended when Bai Shu slipped in few RMB to the bartender.

After that both Bai Shu and the bartender moved towards me.

"President, we have to go to a private room if we want to meet her alone"

Bai Shu said as he moved towards me with the bartender.

The bartender showed us the private room and left saying that we will have to wait for some minutes.

I was fine with it and after some minutes of waiting, the door of the room finally opened and the girl who was previously singing at stage, Lin Ru came into the room.

It was my first meeting with Lin Ru, the star that will later swept away the whole China with her voice that can make a person calm.

She will be later called as 'The girl with the calming voice'.
