Chapter 4. Meeting with the employees (1)

I sat in the head seat of the conference room and stared at everyone.

All the eyes were currently fixed on me and I can see anxiousness, worry and confusion in their eyes.

They must be curious to know what I am going to say today.

Most of them would have already prepared to resign and are probably thinking that I am going to announce that I am selling this company.

If I really announce that, they would probably give me a resignation letter and left the company.

"First, I am going to say thank you to you all for coming here, I have a announcement to make"

When they heard my first words, some people looked down and muttered 'I knew it' or 'I know this day would come'.

Some were still staring at me wanting to know the announcement first.

Uncle Zhang was looking like he had given up on things. He even had his hands inside of his pocket ready to give me his resignation letter anytime.

I smiled and said confidently.

"I am not going to sell this company"

When they heard my words, all the people had varied expressions. Some were stunned while some were looking at me like I was a idiot.

I just smiled at that, from anyone point of view, it will be really idiotic to continue a company whose shares were depleting everyday.

Global entertainment didn't even have many employees to continue the work.

It didn't look like much when you see a star in TV but there are a lot of people required to make someone a star, to become a star, a good behind the scenes team is required and that work was done by the entertainment company.

"Many of you will be surprised by my words and many would be thinking that I am a idiot but I have decided that, Global entertainment will go on"

I continued after a second.

"You all should have thought that I am going to sell this company but this is my father's lifetime work, I can't possibly sell this. I know there are many rumors going around that this company is going to be sold but it is not going to happen, you could trust me on this"

Many people fell into thoughts hearing my words, they must have prepared to resign today but after hearing my words, they fell into thoughts of whether they should resign or not.

As many people were in confusion, A man in his 40s raised his hand. He has short brown hair and was wearing glasses. He looked rather intellectual by his appearance.

"I don't know if it will be rude or not but can I ask you a question"

"Anyone can ask any questions they have, you don't have to raise your hand"

"Is that so? Then, I will not hold back"

He had a rather blunt attitude and from what I can remember, he was Shao Fang, he was a member of the PR team and someone who had a lot of experience in the industry.

"You say you're not going to sell the company. So, I wanted to ask how you are going to continue it. As you might know, the company is close to being bankrupt, we don't even have any trainees left and in this situation, I even doubt that the company can pay our salary next month"

It was the question I was waiting for, I know that all of the employees would have many questions regarding the company.

If I didn't answer them, they would surely left the company. Although I was a middle aged man inside, at the outside, I was just a 21 year old who didn't know much about the entertainment industry.

They would be insecure leaving their future in my hands and I don't want them to leave as I will need them if I wanted to succeed in the industry.

In this case, I would have to satisfy their insecurities and make them believe that I can make the company successful.

That's why I replied in a confident manner.

"Your question is reasonable, the company currently is in dire straits and it's true that I can't guarantee whether you will receive your next month salary or not"

Some people gasped at my words, it was something they already knew but hearing it from my mouth was another thing. I noticed that Uncle Zhang has lowered his head when he heard my words.

From what I know, he is the one who is currently in charge of the finances after the financial department resignation. He knows better than anyone what state the company was in.

Shao Fang was still intently staring at me waiting for my next words, So I continued.

"The situation is dire currently but after two to three months, the company would be in profit, you can trust my words"

"How can I believe you? Even the previous president can't say such things with that much confidence, what is the reason behind your confidence?"

Shao Fang retorted my words and asked. All the people in the conference room were staring at us and waiting for my answers.

What was the reason behind my confidence. Is this because I know most of the hit songs, movies and dramas from my previous life or is it because I have a cheat to see people star evaluations.

Yeah, these were the two reasons I was confident that I will succeed.

Although I knew that, I can't tell the people that I have various songs and movies which I know will be a hit or a chest that let me see others star evaluations.

I will be considered a psychopath if I said that. I would probably be admitted into a mental hospital.

I have to show them the proof that I can succeed and only then, they will be willing to stay with the company.

As for the proof, I already have it.

I passed my mobile phone to Bai Shu and said.

"Chief Bai, can you connect my phone to the speaker and play the song in it for everyone to listen"

"Yeah….sure"

He was a little confused as to why I am telling him to play a song but he still did it.

After connecting the phone to the speaker, he pressed the play button and the song started to play.

Everyone was listening to the music coming out from the speaker, at first their expressions were normal but the more they heard, the more astonished they became.

I smiled seeing their expressions as I thought to myself that this song will surely make us rich and famous.
